Chen Mama’s eyes were a little red as she entered her bedroom with the gift box in her hands.

She had accepted Qi Le’an as her godson for two reasons. One was that she liked this clean and intact young man and the other was because of her son, Chen Shan.

All these years, though her son, Chen Shan, was often reproached for this or that, he was favored and loved by his family. It was her son’s first job to be an agent for Qi Le’an. Chen Mama was afraid that her child would suffer because of the work outside, so she adopted Qi Le’an as her godson and voluntarily accepted him into her family.

And later she found that this godson was worth it! She had done a great job on it!

Inside the gift box was a plain colored dress with low-keyed and luxurious embroidery of dark patterns. It was a long time since Chen Mama last wore such a long dress.

She couldn’t remember clearly when was that, but she knew that many years ago, she was also such a girl who loved pink and who liked to wear new dresses whenever going on outings.

Chen Mama was immersed in memories of her good old days. Smilingly, she changed into the dress. She was glad to find the length of the dress was just perfect for her, and its loose style covered her middle-aged woman’s somewhat deformed figure.

She thought of the toys Qi Le’an had prepared for his sister in the living room. She felt that her godson was even more lovable than her son.

Well, she told herself to forget it. Anyway, she wasn’t that old and she was aware that she had got a good son for nothing and she had no reason to complain about all this.

Chen Mama had finally straightened out her thinking and walked out of the bedroom.

The three men outside there turned their attention to her right away. For the first time, Chen Mama looked shy, and then she inquired, “How is it? It’s been so many years since I last wore a dress…”

“Great!” Qi Le’an was the first to react and praise, “I didn’t expect this dress to be so beautiful on my godmother! Wei Sama did make a good choice for the dress!”

Chen Mama was amused. She knew it was the dress that looked good. However, her godson was so sweet-mouthed to say that she looked good in it!

Even Chen Shan also praised, “Oh, Mother! I didn’t expect you to look so good! I have to quickly take a photo for you and send it to Dad.”

Chen Mama was so happy that she grinned from ear to ear. She turned to Wei Changfeng, “It’s you who chose this beautiful dress? Aunty must thank you for it!”

Wei Changfeng smiled and replied, “Actually, it was Le’an who first saw and liked it.”

Qi Le’an couldn’t help but feel sweet in his heart. From Chen Mama’s words, he guessed she may have already accepted Wei Changfeng.

As expected, Chen Mama praised, “Our Le’an looks good from young, and the people around him look good too! And Xiao Wei is so handsome!”

Chen Shan’s sister, who was playing on the swing also repeated, “So handsome!”

Deep in his heart, he felt if his godmother didn’t accept it, he would be upset.

Wei Changfeng replied with a smile, “It should be so…”

Qi Le’an was pleased and his lips curved in a smile.

Chen Mama didn’t sleep for long. At about six in the evening, Qi Le’an received a call from Chen Shan. Later that afternoon after they parted, Wei Changfeng had gone to change their rented car into another one a car seat. Needless to say, an SUV with seven seats was much more spacious and comfortable.

The car stopped at the hotel and Chen Mama scolded them when she saw it, “Why did you go to rent another car? Your sister doesn’t like to sit in a safety chair. You guys don’t have an easy time outside. You’re wasting money!”

Chen Shan couldn’t help but roll his eyes, “Mom! What do you mean by living outside is not easy… They two are enjoying themselves!”

Chen Mama insisted, “I’ve heard that students who come out to study abroad are suffering!”

Chen Shan was speechless. He gave up arguing with his mother. It was tiring to do so anyway.

Wei Changfeng smiled and tried to explain, “It’s my friend’s car. It doesn’t cost money.”

Chen Mama was relieved after hearing this. Qi Le’an grinned and suggested, “Let’s go, Mother. Wei Sama has ordered a big meal! I am sure we’ll have a great time tonight!”

Chen Mama was happy and carried her daughter into the car. However, the little girl didn’t like to sit in the car seat and crawled around for Qi Le’an’s hug. Qi Le’an was glad. He liked to play with children. Thus he took his sister in his arms and asked her, “Would you like to go to Disneyland after a few days?”

The little girl’s eyes lit up at hearing that and she giggled, “Elsa!”

Qi Le’an also laughed, “Yes! Elsa! ”

The sister was so happy that she kept on talking endlessly to Qi Le’an. Qi Le’an couldn’t understand them at all, and there was a hurt look on his sister’s face.

The little cutie with her hair tied into a pair of horns looked so pitiful that Qi Le’an was nearly broken-hearted.

Chen Mama smiled in the front row, “She was talking about cartoons.”

Wei Changfeng, who was driving, suddenly asked, “Sis likes Peppa Pig? I like Baby Alexander the most.”

“Baby Alexander!” the sister’s eyes lit up again. She struggled out of Qi Le’an’s embrace and wanted to run over to play with Wei Changfeng, but she was stopped by her mother in the front row.

Qi Le’an, “…” He was wondering, ‘What the heck?! And how could Wei Sama know so much about Peppa Pig?’

They soon arrived at the restaurant, where Wei Changfeng had booked the meal in advance. As they went in, Wei Changfeng whispered something to the waiter following them. Soon after, the waiter brought back a Peppa Pig doll.

The little girl let out a cry of joy, “Whoa!!!”

Being honored as an idol by such a little girl, from then on, only Wei Changfeng was left in the little sister’s eyes.

Looking after children was always a troublesome matter, but Wei Changfeng seemed to be patient about it. The waiter served the food soon. Qi Le’an was responsible for introducing the dishes to his godmother while Wei Changfeng just played with his sister.

The head chef also prepared a child’s meal. After Wei Changfeng placed the very meal into a set of princess tableware specially made for the little girl, he began to feed her gently.

Chen Mama was amazed by the sight. She whispered to Qi Le’an, “Is there a child in Xiao Wei’s family?”

Qi Le’an shook his head and replied, “He has a sister, but she’s not married yet.”

“A man who can look after a child so well now… is really rare,” Chen Mama sighed, and then she added, “It’s a pity that you can’t have one child of your own…”

Chen Shan rolled his eyes and said, “Children are annoying! Why should they give birth to a child? As for me, I will never have one in the future!”

Chen Mama was annoyed by her son and she slapped him, “That’s great! In the future, I’ll leave all the family property to your sister, and let her take care of you when you are old!”

Chen Shan, “…”

Qi Le’an couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

Chen Mama added, “Yes! And I’ll leave some money to Le’an too! You, just be a poor guy without children, money, or wife!”

Chen Shan didn’t know what was wrong with himself, but he suddenly announced proudly, “That’s great. There is still someone willing to support me even though I have no children, money, or wife!”

Chen Mama went on teasing, “Then, your brother and I are leaving! You can go with them by yourself! ”

When the little girl realized that her mother was about to leave, she cried and ran over to her.

Everyone laughed. Qi Le’an once again found that the child was really fun.

On the way home, he couldn’t help asking Wei Changfeng, “Wei Sama, do you like children?”

Wei Changfeng shrugged, “It’s okay. What’s wrong?”

Qi Le’an recalled the gentle look Wei Changfeng showed when taking care of his sister. He suddenly felt down at the thought that they two would never have children of their own in their lifetime.

The next day, it was sunny. Qi Le’an took his godmother and sister to visit the Statue of Liberty and Central Park. Wei Changfeng was preparing dinner at home while Chen Shan was going out on his own.

There were many children in Central Park. The little girl was happy being together with the blond and blue-eyed boys of the same age. They were playing on the seesaw at the moment while Chen Mama and Qi Le’an were sitting on a bench by the side, looking at them.

Watching them nervously, Qi Le’an admitted, “I always feel that my sister is going to fall.”

Smilingly, Chen Mama shook her head, “She just looks walking unstably, but she’s running fast.”

Qi Le’an sighed, “How time flies! She couldn’t walk when I left her then.”

“Exactly,” Chen Mama looked at her daughter and said, “Time passes in the blink of an eye. The first time I saw you, you were also a child.”

Suddenly, the little girl ran after a little boy and fell. Qi Le’an quickly stood up and wanted to help her, but Chen Mama stopped him, “It’s fine. She can get up herself.”

Sure enough, the next second, his sister did stand up on her own. The little brother came over and patted her on the legs, which made her smile happy again.

Qi Le’an was relieved and sat down again.
