The Director Association’s annual grand ceremony was set on May 20th, just one week after the wrap of “Blue”.

Qi Le’an left the set early and took Chen Bin to the supermarket to buy a bunch of food and drinks, ready to celebrate.

Chen Bin pushed the trolley and walked with Qi Le’an into an international supermarket where there were few customers. He said, “You are not the one to get the award. Why are you so happy?”

Qi Le’an threw the food into the trolley and said, “You are right. I can never get an award in my lifetime.”

Many actors would leave the crew today. Qi Le’an suddenly realized that he was more at ease about parting. When he worked with other crew before, he was very sad about the wrap; but this time, he said goodbye to them with a smile.

Qi Le’an suddenly sighed a lot.

The second last scene was that Xiaolan and Zhendong went to a frozen lake, played with snow, and sang together. It was impossible to have such a temperature condition in May. Fortunately, Director Guan had already predicted this situation so he had already finished shooting this scene in winter.

What Qi Le’an and Wei Changfeng needed to do was to do a few reshoots, so they finished their shooting tasks very soon.

Early in the morning, Xiaolan got out of the quilt and dressed himself up in front of the mirror. Before he left, he also gave a kiss to Zhendong who was still sleeping.

Director Guan specifically let the actors stay in place from four in the morning to shoot a romantic scene early in the morning. The orange light added a dreamy feeling to the small bedroom. Qi Le’an couldn’t help but feel sad.

“Le’an!” The director shouted, “You’re supposed to be very happy!”

Xiaolan didn’t know that he was going to die so his face was full of happiness. However, as the player of the character, Qi Le’an knew the ending of the two main characters, so he could not hide his sadness.

The sunrise could not last for long. Guan Kai became a little annoyed and said, “Le’an, you can’t bring in any personal emotions into the character.”

Qi Le’an pursed his lower lip and said to the director, “Sorry, sorry. I kind of can’t figure out the right feeling.”

It was almost absurd to hear him say that he couldn’t figure out the right feeling now, but this was exactly what concerned Qi Le’an in the whole drama from the beginning. He had been sad about the death of Xiaolan when he first read the script. which had been deeply affecting him.

The director looked at the time and sighed.

“There are twenty minutes before the sunrise. Think about it. If you can’t finish today, we can only try again tomorrow.”

Wei Changfeng sat up from the bed and looked at Qi Le’an.

For the first time, Qi Le’an felt pressured during the shooting. No one urged him, but he just couldn’t do it right.

What should he do? Twenty minutes… Could he get the right feelings for the character?

Director Guan called for a break and the set was quiet. Qi Le’an sat on the small stool outside the room.

Wei Changfeng sat beside him and said, “Le’an.”

Qi Le’an looked at Wei Changfeng and smiled bitterly. He just didn’t feel like talking.

“No worries.” Wei Changfeng seemed to have cast a magical spell that calmed his mind. Qi Le’an gradually calmed down.

“Do you think Xiaolan is happy?” Wei Changfeng suddenly asked.

Qi Le’an didn’t think so. Xiaolan finally got somewhere and yet was forever parted with his love. What a shame!

Wei Changfeng understood what Qi Le’an meant and said, “But I think he is happy.”

Inside the room, Director Guan was adjusting the camera stand. There were noises around but Wei Changfeng’s words, just like a trickle, reached Qi Le’an’s ears.

“At least the moment before he died, he was happy.”

Qi Le’an was stunned.

Wei Changfeng smiled his eyes as gentle as before. He held Qi Le’an’s hand and said, “If you are with me at the cost of your life, will you still be with me?”

“Of course,” Qi Le’an answered without hesitation.

Wei Changfeng pinched Qi Le’an’s knuckles as usual and said, “Even if he died… Xiaolan would be very happy.”

Qi Le’an almost immediately understood what he said.

Xiaolan was such a man who dared to love and hate. He was willing to love at the cost of his life.

The sun finally broke through the clouds and shone the first ray of light of the day.

The alarm rang and Xiaolan reached out and turned off the alarm. He lazily got up from the quilt and looked at his lover in bed lovingly.

He got off the bed and put on his clothes. The sunlight reflected on Zhendong in the mirror, who was lying in bed.

Xiaolan looked at his lover in the mirror while putting on his clothes. His lips curled upwards, his face brimming with happiness.

He went back to the bed with the clothes that Zhendong had prepared for him and exchanged a kiss with his lover.

Then he turned around and left.

“Cut!” Director Guan shouted excitedly, “The light is right too! Brilliant!”

He couldn’t wait to watch the replay on the monitor. Looking at the perfect scenes taken from various angles, he wished to start editing right now.

Wei Changfeng also stuck his head out of the bed and smiled at Qi Le’an.

Qi Le’an also smiled. He knew that for him, the hardest scene had already been done.

In the next scene, Zhendong would face Xiaolan’s death.

It was the battlefield of Wei Changfeng.
