Seeing the way Wei Chang Feng talked to Sang Jia Yi, Qi Le An turned green with envy.

Five minutes later, Wei Chang Feng and Sang Jia Yi walked back to the camera, Wei Chang Feng signaled to Director Chen that they were ready.

Sang Jia Yi did a much better job this time, her performance was getting closer to Director Chen’s standard. But Qi Le An’s shooting was delayed due to Sang Jia Yi.

To make it worse, Sang Jia Yi sat right next to Wei Chang Feng at lunch, and Sang Jia Yi was talking and laughing so much as if it weren’t her who did a terrible job in the morning.

Qi Le An threw the lunch box on the table with a bang.

“Kiddo, what’s with you?” asked Chen Shan with disbelief.

Qi Le An shook his head and didn’t say anything.

Chen Shan turned around and he frowned on seeing Sang Jia Yi and Wei Chang Feng sitting together.

The crew members took a much shorter break to make up for the delay in the morning. Qi Le An was so excited when the Executive Director told him that it was his turn next at 3 p.m.

This was the first time that Qi Le An had the chance to work with the top director and top actors in the industry, no way could he contain his excitement.

Qi Le An took a few deep breaths, he kept telling him to calm down because he didn’t want his nervousness to cause any inconvenience for the crew members, especially Wei Chang Feng who had already suffered a lot due to Sang Jia Yi.

Wei Chang Feng and Qi Le An rehearsed their blocking for a few times, and with the click of the clapperboard, Wei Chang Feng became Xing, Qi Le An became Xing’s younger male cousin, Cheng.

Cheng was a city boy who was spoiled by his entire family, so he turned up his nose at Xing when he first saw the village boy with a tan.

“Cheng, this is your older cousin from our hometown, and he will stay with us for a few days.” introduced Cheng’s mother.

Xing knew he was living under their roof, he disdained to fawn upon on other people, but he was a polite boy. So he reached out his hand and said, “Nice to meet you, Cheng, I’m Xing.”

Cheng hesitated for a while, but he ignored Xing’s greeting and turned away from him, striding across the living room.

“Cheng, this kid is spoiled, please don’t mind.” said Cheng’s mother in an apologetic tone.

“Cut! Great job!” Director Chen beamed a warm smile at Qi Le An, “An, great job! Great facial expression when you hesitated about the handshake, this time I want to see you move your hand a bit more. And Chang Feng, great as always!”

Qi Le An nodded, “Got it, thank you Director Chen.”

“You are doing great, An.” Wei Chang Feng encouraged Qi Le An.

“Scene 10, Cut 1, Take 2!”

Qi Le An had surprised everyone on set, including Wei Chang Feng. He had digested Director Chen’s feedback perfectly and had fully delivered.

Sang Jia Yi was a pretty good actor in her generation, but it took her a while to get into the character. So everyone was expecting the same thing would happen to Qi Le An, but Qi Le An had nailed it on take 2, he delivered everything Director Chen told him!

‘What a talented kid!’ Director Chen exclaimed in the heart.

But no one knew how much efforts Qi Le An had made, he refused to be a boy toy in his last life and he would practise the lines from classic movies and the facial expressions in front of a mirror day and night.

“That’s really great, Le An!”

Everyone on set stared at Qi Le An with their eyes wide open, Director Chen was always seeking for ever greater perfection from himself and his actors alike, seldom had he spoken highly of anyone in public. So everyone was surprised to hear his praising a green hand in acting.

“I owe a thanks to Director Chen and Wei Sama, Director Chen has pointed out the little details and Wei Sama set a great flow ans that has helped me to get into the character.”

Qi Le An’s modesty made the crew members love him even more, well, both Director Chen and Wei Chang Feng had given feedback to Sang Jia Yi in the morning, but still it took her an awfully long time to deliver.

‘No wonder Wei Chang Feng likes this young man so much, he is such a doll.’ thought the crew members. As sophisticated as the crew members, they had known Wei Chang Feng and Qi Le An were close friends since the day they walked out from Wei Chang Feng’s RV on set.

The afternoon shooting went on smoothly, the crew members were so relieved when Director Chen said ‘It’s a wrap!’

No one wanted to work overtime, they loved Qi Le An even more because of that.

Sang Jia Yi seemed to be the only one who wasn’t happy about Qi Le An’s perfect performance, she squished the water bottle in hand and turned away. She had to negotiate with her company for a few rounds for the opportunity to work with Director Chen and Wei Chang Feng, and she was counting on Qi Le An to be a lame actor to make her look good, but... but now the joke was on her, Qi Le An was a great actor!

But Sang Jia Yi refused to acknowledge Qi Le An’s talent, she kept telling herself that all the credit should go to Wei Chang Feng, it was Wei Chang Feng who had set a great flow for Qi Le An!

With that in mind, Sang Jia Yi couldn’t help but cast another glimpse at Wei Chang Feng.

No wonder all the actors who had worked with Wei Chang Feng were unstinting in their praise about this gentleman, he was so professional and so considerate when others couldn’t deliver.

Sang Jia Yi glared at Qi Le An who was helping the cameramen packing the equipment, ‘You are shooting with me tomorrow, hope you are ready!’

Qi Le An had no idea there was someone who was glaring at him behind his back, he was just saying goodbye to the crew members with a feeling of immeasurable joy. He was so glad that he had practised so much, hard work did pay off.

Chen Shan, out of everyone, knew how hard Qi Le An had worked for this role the best, but he told Qi Le An on the way back to the hotel, “An, you did great today, hard work pays off, but don’t get cocky just yet, all right?”

“I see, mommy!”

It took Chen Shan a solid second to realize what Qi Le An just called him, “Come again?”

“Mommy!” Qi Le An tended to show the boyish side of him in front of Chen Shan, “I mean, thank you for saying this to me, mommy!”

Silence. Blue veins stood out on Chen Shan’s temples.

“I really need a shower now, see you, Chen Ge!” with that Qi Le An dashed out from the elevator, leaving Chen Shan standing transfixed by himself.

Chen Shan shook his head resignedly, ‘This kid, sometimes he is so mature that I want to tell him to get loose and be a boy, but I just want to pinch him when he is being cheeky.’

Qi Le An removed the makeup first thing after he got back to his own room, then he decided to have a hot shower as a reward for his hard work during the day.

Qi Le An now felt so motivated that he had to do even better the day after to not disappoint Director Chen and Wei Chang Feng. Wei Chang Feng’s smile kept flashing across his mind, he finally admitted that he indeed had romantic feelings for Qi Le An.

He couldn’t bear the sight of Sang Jia Yi sitting next to Wei Chang Feng and patting Wei Chang Feng’s arm when she talked to him, and subconsciously he wanted to do a good job on set to outshine Sang Jia Yi.

Qi Le An had been a shy boy since his last life, this was the first time that he felt jealous of someone, ‘I’m doomed, I fell in love with Wei Sama!’

Qi Le An had no idea when exactly he had romantic feelings for Wei Chang Feng, but he didn’t have much confidence in himself. ‘I think Wei Sama is straight, plus there is a Sheng Chang An around him even though he is gay, no way will my feelings be returned.’

With that in mind, Qi Le An walked out of the shower in a low spirit, he looked at himself in the mirror, he was a good-looking boy, but he was very thin and he was a bit self-conscious that he didn’t have broad shoulders or any abs... ...

‘Will Wei Sama accept me if I try to seduce him?’ Qi Le An wondered.

“An, are you there?”

It was Wei Chang Feng who lived next door.

Qi Le An grabbed a bathrobe and rushed to the door.

However, the belt got loose when he opened the door for Wei Chang Feng.

Qi Le An managed to get the belt before it had fully opened, but it was a little bit late, this little episode had revealed the silky skin on Qi Le An’s chest.

Wei Chang Feng who was holding a cake in hand put the cake on the ground and helped Qi Le An to straighten the bathrobe, “Were you just showering?”

Qi Le An nodded, he knew he had blushed crimson again, he could even feel the burning from his ears.

“I’m here to give you this cake... but... but...”

“But you end up being seduced?” said Qi Le An half-jokingly, he managed to look poised and even playful.
