As the most famous entertainment company in the whole country, Glory’s office building was designed by an award-winning architect and now it was one of the landmarks in Hai city.

Numerous stars had gained fame and fortune in this building, even the security guards in Glory looked taller and stronger than anywhere else. But what people didn’t know was all the dirty tricks the management had played in this pretty building.

Qi Le An knew the way to Mrs. Wang’s office quite well, he took the elevator for the trainees and walked to the end of the hallway in excitement.

Knock knock.

Mrs. Wang opened the door promptly, “You are here, An, come on in.”

Qi Le An smiled at Mrs. Wang who was in her mid-forties, Mrs. Wang had applied layers of makeup to cover the traces of time on her face, unfortunately,y the result turned out to be just the opposite of her wish, she looked like she was wearing a heavy mask.

To Qi Le An’s surprise, Mrs. Wang was not the only one in her office. There were Mr. Li and a man he had never met.

“This is Qi Le An.” Mrs. Wang turned around and nodded at the young man.

Qi Le An smiled at the young man and met his gaze without flinching.

The young man looked Qi Le An up and down, then he hurried Mrs. Wang to go through the formalities now that Qi Le An was here.

Mr. Li chimed in, “But Chen, An is our... ...”

The young man named Chen replied with impatience before Mr. Li could finish the sentence, “I know he is one of your trainees, but the management has already approved it, understood?”

Mrs. Wang forced a laugh to smooth things over, “An, you are so lucky that the most celebrated director in China, Director Chen, wants you for an audition. Make sure you give your all and don’t let us down.”

Qi Le An didn’t know how exactly Wei Chang Feng had arranged this, he just said, “Thank you so much, Mrs. Wang, I will do my best.”

Mrs. Wang then handed a few forms to Chen, Chen took a glance at the form and signed his name. Then he handed it to Qi Le An, Qi Le An read the clauses subtly before he signed his name.

Blue veins stood out on Mr. Li’s temples when Qi Le An handed the forms to him, of cours,e Mr. Li would be furious, he would no longer ‘own’ Qi Le An once he signed his name on the form.

Qi Le An noticed the form said Qi Le An would be temporarily transferred to ‘Film and Television Cooperation Department’, he didn’t know much about this department, but he was so happy that he had escaped from Mr. Li.

One of the most important reasons that Glory was able to stand rock-firm inthe entertainment circle, among others, was because of its resources, the company was able to produce dramas shows and movies by itself, and it had been looking for cooperation with other companies proactively as well. Film and Television Cooperation Department carried a big weight in Glory for cooperation with other big players could be of great benefit to the substantial development.

Wei Chang Feng recommended Qi Le An to Director Chen, Director Chen contacted his friend in Glory and mentioned Qi Le An.

Of cours,e the management in Glory would kill for the opportunity to work with Director Chen, well-informed as them, they knew Director Chen had been making preparations for a big-budget production, so they told the Film and Television Cooperation Department to grab Qi Le An’s in their own hands in case other departments wanted to have a finger in the pie.

Qi Le An didn’t mind their scheming, he was overjoyed that he no longer had to be slavishly dependent on Mr. Li.

With great pleasure, Qi Le An watched Mr. Li gnashed his teeth and signed his name on the form.

Chen said goodbye to Mrs. Wang and Mr. Li right after all the formalities were done, “Qi Le An, you, follow me now.”

Qi Le An had no idea what a big role this poker-faced Chen was going to play in his life at this point, he just nodded his head and walked out of the office with Chen.

“Go pack your stuff, I have prepared a new place for you to live.” Chen drove Qi Le An to his dormitory building, then he checked the time, “Can you meet me in the car, say, in half an hour?”

Qi Le An didn’t have much stuff, half an hour was plenty.

“Great, I will wait for you in the car then.”

Qi Le An got off the car blissfully, he had been waiting for this day since his rebirth, he knew this freedom from Mr. Li was only temporary, but he was more than happy about this arrangement already.

A smile lingered on Qi Le An’s face on his way to the dormitory, he tried to call Wei Chang Feng and let him know the great news, but it didn’t get through.

Qi Le An washed his face to calm himself down the first thing he opened his door, then he packed his stuff in a suitcase within ten minutes or so. He took a look at his dormitory with emotion before he turned away and left.

Other trainees stared at Qi Le An leaving the dormitory with disbelief, Qi Le An was in such a great mood that he even had replied to them with a big smile.

Chen was surprised by Qi Le An’s speed when he saw Qi Le An walking out from the building, he walked towards Qi Le An and helped him to put the suitcase into the trunk.

“Thank you so much, Chen Ge.” (T/N: Ge, the way to address a male older than you to show respect.)

“No worries, get in, I will take you to your new place.” Chen still kept a poker face.

Qi Le An’s new place was also one of Glory’s properties, it was in the opposite direction of the dormitory building where all the trainees lived and of course better equipped.

“Twentieth floor, 2007, that’s going to be your room.”

“Thank you for taking me here, Chen Ge.”

“We are going to work together for a long time, no need to thank me this thank me for that. I will leave you unpacking and stuff, message me if you need anything.” with that Chen handed Qi Le An the key.

Qi Le An replied promptly, “No need to go to this expense for me!”

Chen chuckled for the first time, “Don’t worry, this expense can be reimbursed.”

Qi Le An also smiled, he appreciated how honest and frank Chen was.

“All right, see you.” with that Chen patted Qi Le An on his shoulder and left.

Qi Le An walked into this place that he was going to call ‘home’ in excitement, it was a typical single apartment of about fifty square meters with modern design and excellent lighting.

Qi Le An heaved a gentle sigh, he loved this apartment.

His phone started to vibrate when he was about to unpack, he took a look at the screen and couldn’t help but let out an examination.

“Wei Sama!”

“How’s everything going? Have you signed the form yet?”

Wei Chang Feng seemed to be in the airport, Qi Le An could hear flights broadcast from the other side of the phone.

“Yes! Everything is done! I have never felt better!” Qi Le An was bursting with happiness, “I can never thank you enough, Wei Sama!”

Wei Chang Feng laughed, “I didn’t do much, I just recommended you to Director Chen and contacted a few people, I’m sorry I can’t terminate your contract with Glory.”

Qi Le An couldn’t believe his ears, Wei Chang Feng sounded a bit guilty when he mentioned Qi Le An’s contract.

“Wei Sama, what are you talking about? You don’t owe me anything, please don’t say that!”

“Okay, An, on a serious note though, now all you need to do is to prepare for your big audition. I will ask someone to send you the screenplay, she will call you later today. You’ve got this, see you next week in Hai City.” Wei Chang Feng changed the subject.

Qi Le An’s heart melted, he was so grateful for what Wei Chang Feng had done for him. He beamed at the phone like a blooming spring flower, “See you next week in Hai City, Wei Sama!”

With that, they hang up the phone. Qi Le An put his phone on the table with a big smile and the boy didn’t realize probably the feeling he harbored for Wei Chang Feng was more than gratitude.

Soon Qi Le An started to unpack, he mopped the floor and dusted all the tables and wardrobes. Qi Le An looked around the room and hesitated for a while, then he decided not to message Chen for he didn’t want to trouble him and he was used to taking care of himself in his two lives.

Then he turned on the TV to kill some time, as luck would have it, Arts and Entertainment channel were airing Wei Chang Feng walking out of the airport with the caption: Breaking news, sources say Wei Chang Feng is going to work with Director Chen for a new movie called Better Days!

Wei Chang Feng waved st his fans who were welcoming him at the airport with flowers and banners. Qi Le An started at Wei Chang Feng on TV until the ‘knock knock’ on the door had brought him back to reality.

Qi Le An opened the door in a hurry, it was Chen.

It looked like Chen had gone to the supermarket even though he hadn’t got a single message from Qi Le An, both his hands were full of bags and stuff.

Chen invited himself in and put the stuff on the floor, “Here, these are all yours, have a look.”

With that Chen opened a bottle of water and gulped it down, seeing that, emotion welled up inside Qi Le An.

Chen noticed Qi Le An’s stare, “What’s wrong?”
