Qi Le An woke up in such a good mood the next morning, he felt so refreshed as the system had upgraded and he was so looking forward to next week.

However, his mood was dampened by a phone call not long after he woke up.

“Qi Le An! You are a big star now, aren’t you?” Mr. Li sounded so bitterly sarcastic.

“Mr. Li?” Qi Le An was so confused.

“Don’t Mr. Li me! Do you know how hard Glory has negotiated for you, and look at you now, our big star, you are too good for the roadshow?”

Qi Le An checked the time, it was ten o’clock, he pressed his forehead and tried to explain, “I... ...”

“Do you really think you can just be absent after Director. Cui said you could take today off? What if Director. Cui was just being polite?” Mr. Li sounded so grumpy, Qi Le An was sure Mr. Li would slap him again if Mr. Li were in the same room with him.

“What? You think we have been overworking you? For a young trainee like you, you should be grateful that your working schedule is so full. Tell you what, it’s either working like a horse or become someone’s boy toy, your call!”

With that Mr. Li had hung up the phone.

Qi Le An clenched his fists in anger, he suppressed the impulse to throw his phone out of the window. He closed his eyes and regulated his breaths, slowly he walked to the mirror and started to work on his smile.

‘Qi Le An, calm down, you are a nobody now, you are in no position to negotiate with them, just pocket the insult for now! Patience, you need to have a little bit more patience. In half a month when To Perish Demons is broadcast, people will know your name!’

Qi Le An called Jiao and explained the whole thing, he kept apologizing to Jiao for he could sense Jiao’s sulkiness over the phone.

Qi Le An had no idea how come Mr. Li found this out, he wished he knew what had happened.

But that was the least of Qi Le An’s concern at that moment, he and Jiao rushed to the station to the city next to Guangzhou. Thanks to Jiao’s friend who had snapped up bullet train tickets for them, they could make it to the venue on time.

Qi Le An called a crew member on the train to inform them about the update, the crew member was surprised for a second then he was glad that Qi Le An was able to make it.

“I’m sorry about the last-minute rearrangement, it’s just I’m feeling much better today, I don’t want to miss out.”

“That’s great news, we will have so much fun together!” replied the crew member.

Everything worked out fine, the fans had given them a warm welcome.

Jiao told Qi Le An what she had found out after they went back to the hotel, it turned out there were some reporters had contacted the management, apparently rumor had it that Glory had been abusing their trainees, somehow the reporters had specifically mentioned Qi Le An’s name.

Mr. Li panicked when he found out Qi Le An had fainted the day before and Director. Cui had given him a day off, it did sound an awful lot like Qi Le An was exploited by him and Director. Cui helped Qi Le An out.

To clear his name, he decided to call Qi Le An to order him to attend the roadshow this day thus he could defend himself by saying Qi Le An was happy about his schedule.

Qi Le An attended a few more roadshows and finally it was the day of the last roadshow in B City, it would be the most grand one. The roadshow would be held in that afternoon, and the show would be broadcast at eight o’clock at night.

Qi Le An had travelled half of the country for the show during the past twenty days, he felt a bit emotional when he arrived at B City, the final destination.

In show business, the more famous you are, the tighter your schedule is. Qi Le An was never this busy in his last life, so he couldn’t help but wonder would he have a completely different life compared to his last one.

Qi Le An and Jiao arrived at the dressing room the first, then Hu Bin and Lin Xue had arrived when Qi Le An was getting his makeup done. Hu Bin hugged Qi Le An and squeezed his cheek, “You need to put on some weight, An!”

Soon the crew members turned off the light in the screening room, Qi Le An took his seat, he was so excited to watch the first episode of his first drama in his new life.

Qi Le An burst into laughter, “Haha, you were as cute as a cinnamon bun when you were little, anyone would see you as a pretty little girl.”

Wei Chang Feng smiled, “My sister used to lie to people that I was her younger sister.”

Wei Chang Feng tended to not mention his family in interviews, so this was the first time that Qi Le An had heard that Wei Chang Feng had an elder sister.

Qi Le An felt so glad that Wei Chang Feng was so relaxed that he was willing to talk about his own family in front of him.

Hu Bin and Lin Xue were still chilling in the dressing room, Hu Bin looked around and wondered where Qi Le An and Wei Chang Feng went while Lin Xue was absorbed in her phone, paying no attention to anything else.

Hu Bin sneaked into the screening room and took a seat next to Wei Chang Feng, “Hi, Brother Wei, hi, little An.” Director. Cui who was sitting at the corner looked at them with a big smile.

The opening credit was nicely done as well, you could tell this drama was big-budget, the special effect looked real, the costumes looked exquisite, the acting looked effortless.

Hao Ran, Grandmaster, and Hao Ran’s Spirit Beast had all showed up in the first episode, Grandmaster had entrusted Hao Ran with the task of hunting down the mysterious man and uphold justice in cultivation world.

The plot unfolded in such a great pace that the audience had burst into thunderous applause when the first episode ended and light was turned back on.

Director. Cui rose to his feet and straightened his collar when the audience turned around to see what was going on, the MC walked to the stage and said, “Surprise!”

It wasn’t until then did the audience realize they were about to meet the characters from the show.

Wei Chang Feng, Hu Bin, Lin Xue and Qi Le An all joined Director. Cui and walked to the stage as well. The fans all exclaimed at the top of their lungs as they saw the characters who were on the screen last minute.

Qi Le An’s heart kept pounding, this was the first time he had surprised the fans. He was fascinated by the warmth of the fans, the great atmosphere in the venue, the charm of the other stars.

All of a sudden, Wei Chang Feng tugged Qi Le An’s sleeve gently as the MC asked the fans a question with a playful tone, “Do you guys know who is the youngest actor in our cast?”

Everyone looked at Qi Le An unison.

‘Great, Jiao and I have rehearsed this question!’ thought Qi Le An, with that Qi Le An took the microphone and said, “I would be lying if I say I’m not nervous, but Brother Bin, Sister Xue and our Wei Sama all have helped me a lot, I was able to deliver my best performance thanks to their instructions.”

“It looks like everyone is charmed by Qi Le An the bunny.” replied the MC, “Dear fans, is there any questions you would like to ask Qi Le An?”

Qi Le An knew the MC was trying to get him more time on stage, he said a thanks to the MC in the heart.

The fan who just shouted out Qi Le An’s name raised her hand again, she said, “I’m actually a die hard fan of Feng’s, but may I ask you a question, little An?”

Qi Le An stole a glace at Wei Chang Feng when he heard the girl was his fan, then he replied, “Of course, I’m happy to answer all your questions.”

“You have mentioned in one of the interviews that our Feng is also your idol, how did you feel when you found you got to work with your idol?”
