Mr. Li spoke highly of Qi Le An as they walked to the backstage, he didn’t even spare Yan Lang a look until they met the organizer.

“Good job, both of you!” the organized smiled, “So great!”

“That’s so kind of you, Mr. Wang, they are still pretty green.” replied Mr. Li promptly.

Mr. Wang laughed and looked at Yan Lang, “Lang, how’s your father? Say hi for me.”

Mr. Li was dumbstruck for a second, he had no idea that Yan Lang’s family had connections with this Mr. Wang. Qi Le An was taken aback as well, he was worried that this episode wasn’t going to affect Yan Lang at all considering that Mr. Wang knew him personally.

Yan Lang’s face lightened up as Mr. Wang talked to him, “Uncle Wang, my father has been well, thank you for asking.”

Mr. Wang’s assistant whispered something at Mr. Wang’s ear, then Mr. Wang nodded with satisfaction, “Lang, and Mr. Li, please join me for lunch.”

Mr. Li’s eyes sparkled on hearing that, it was quite flattering that the big boss himself invited them to lunch, he was more than willing to go. Yan Lang chimed in, “Uncle Wang, my friend Qi Le An here isn’t available, I’m afraid we can’t make it.”

Qi Le An was surprised that Yan Lang was going to lie blatantly in front of everyone to get back at him. But Mr. Wang appreciated what Yan Lang did for his friend, “That’s easy, you and Mr. Li can join me and we can invite your friend next time when he is available, you are still as caring as when you were a little boy!”

Mr. Li squinted his eyes, ‘it looks like they have known each other for a long time.’

Mr. Li shot Qi Le An a warning look, Qi Le An took the hint and said, “Yan Lang, please don’t do this just for me, don’t worry, I can take care of myself.”

Hearing that, Yan Lang nodded and beamed with smiles.

Mr. Wang asked them to wait for him for a few minutes as he needed to do a speech on stage.

Mr. Li showed a fawning smile as he talked to Yan Lang, “Lang, you know this Mr. Wang? How come you haven’t mentioned a thing earlier?”

Yan Lang just smiled like it were no big deal, he cast Qi Le An a glimpse and said, “Uncle Wang is one of my father’s good friends, I have known him since I was a little boy.”

Mr. Li nodded, he knew how wealthy and well-connected this Mr. Wang was, he was kill for the opportunity to get to know Mr. Wang and leave an impression on him. He soon raised his head and asked Qi Le An to go back to hotel first, “An, just get some rest, our flight is later tonight.”

Qi Le An found it amusing, the way Mr. Li changed his attitude towards Yan Lang as soon as he found Yan Lang useful was ridiculous, but he just nodded and left them alone.

Mr. Li was satisfied with Qi Le An’s attitude, he approved a boy who knew when to get of out his way. Qi Le An said goodbye to them and left the backstage in a good mood.

However, someone tapped him on the shoulder as he just walked out of the gate, “Qi Le An!”

Qi Le An turned around, the guy looked familiar, then it dawned on him, that was Wei Chang Feng’s assistant Gary!

“Ha, Wei Chang Feng is waiting for you, come with me! I have been waiting for you right here since I saw you walking off the stage, it’s all right they are taking you to lunch, come with me!” obviously Gary had heard what Yan Lang and Mr. Wang just said to Qi Le An.

Qi Le An was totally dumbstruck, ‘What’s going on? Wei Chang Feng? He is here? He is waiting for ME?’

“Ha, what? Are you going to turn Wei Chang Feng down?” Gary chuckled as he saw Qi Le An’s reaction.

Gary took Qi Le An to a cafe in the mall. There was no guest in the cafe at the moment for it was not open to the public yet. Qi Le An saw Wei Chang Feng as soon as he entered the room, Wei Chang Feng was sitting by a table with someone right across him, they would smile and laugh from time to time. Wei Chang Feng looked so relaxed, he was casual attire as well, a simple hoodie and jeans, Qi Le An saw a cap lying on the table as well. Plain outfits like that had made Wei Chang Feng’s features stand out more, ‘Wei Sama, a cap like that isn’t going to hide your beauty as you wish.’

The man who was sitting across Wei Chang Feng looked slightly older than him, unlike Wei Chang Feng, he was wearing designer suit and tie, and he looked kind of serious. But he looked at Wei Chang Feng with affection, Qi Le An had noticed that right away so he stared at the man for a few seconds.

The man turned around abruptly like he had noticed Qi Le An’s gaze, Qi Le An’s heart gave a jolt for the man’s look was quite imposing. He averted his gaze immediately and somehow he felt so stiffened.

The man soon withdrew his look, he leaned towards Wei Chang Feng and said something to Wei Chang Feng, with that Wei Chang Feng turned around and smiled at Qi Le An.

Qi Le An still stood transfixed until Gary tugged at him, “An, what are you doing, you silly.”

Qi Le An smiled apologetically and walked to Wei Chang Feng who had already rose to his feet, Qi Le An heard the man asked Wei Chang Feng to come home early for dinner that night as he walked towards Wei Chang Feng.

Wei Chang Feng nodded to the man and walked him to the door.

Qi Le An felt a complex knot of emotions forming inside him, ‘Who is he? Why... why would he talk to Wei Sama like this?’

“An, how have you been, long time no see.”

Qi Le An pouted, ‘It’s not that long, we’ve just met each other on the night when you were drunk... ... you don’t even remember... ...’

“Want a drink? I will make it for you.”

Qi Le An was surprised that what Wei Chang Feng said was ‘I will make it for you’ instead of ‘my treat’.

Wei Chang Feng winked at Qi Le An and said, “I need to repay you for your kindness last time we met.”

‘Ha! He did remember!’ Qi Le An almost jumped for joy, and he beamed with smile as he thought about that night.

Wei Chang Feng walked to the counter and said, “I will make a speciality just for you, kids love that flavor.”

Qi Le An swallowed back the words ‘I ain’t no kids’ on the tip of one's tongue after a second thought. He just nodded and looked around the cafe, there was no one else but Gary who was playing his phone by a table. Wei Chang Feng said jokingly, “Please come to my cafe when it's officially open.”

So this was Wei Chang Feng’s cafe.

Qi Le An had never heard about that Wei Chang Feng had a cafe before, his heart melted as he heard that, he felt like this was like their very own little secret. Wei Chang Feng looked quite adept behind the counter, soon Qi Le An’s drink was ready. It was a a pumpkin spice latte with such nice aroma.

“Try it.” Wei Chang Feng handed it to Qi Le An.

Qi Le An took a sip, it was so smooth, but it had got a slightly sweeter finish over velvety steamed milk, it was beyond great!

“How do you like it?” Wei Chang Feng asked, there was touch of excitement in his voice.

Qi Le An took another sip, “It’s so dreamy!”

Wei Chang Feng chuckled, Qi Le An’s heart skipped a beat as he was fascinated by Wei Chang Feng’s bright smile.

Wei Chang Feng’s laughter had attracted Gary who was playing his phone, but he just smiled at them after he saw what was going on.

Wei Chang Feng put everything in the sink and began to clean the machine, Qi Le An said promptly, “Please let me!”

Wei Chang Feng shook his head, “Hey, you sit back, how can I ask my guest to do the cleaning.”

Qi Le An didn’t continue his protest, he just sit back like he was told and enjoyed his latte.

“What would you like for lunch?” Wei Chang Feng asked after he was done.

Qi Le An suppressed the urge to say ‘I want to have lunch at your house’, he just took a deep breath and said, “How about roast duck, we are in B City after all.”

Wei Chang Feng nodded, he asked Gary to make a reservation for them and then he said, “I didn’t know you were such a good singer.”

Qi Le An blushed crimson as he heard that, “I’m... I’m okay... ...”

Wei Chang Feng didn’t say anything, he just smiled at Qi Le An.

Gary made a call and asked, “All done, are we going now?”

Wei Chang Feng checked the time, “Sure.”

“Cool, I will call you when I got the car from the parking lot.”

There were still some latte left in the cup, Qi Le An gulped down the rest like a squirrel.

Wei Chang Feng was amused by that, “Just leave it there.”

Qi Le An gave a loud hiccup before he could say anything, Wei Chang Feng put on a serious face and said, “I’ll add some nuts in your drink next time, Mr. Squirrel.”

Qi Le An blushed red tomato, and Wei Chang Feng took the cup to the sink.

Wei Chang Feng’s phone rang, but his hands were full so he asked Qi Le An to take the call for him. Qi Le An did it happily, he felt so close to Wei Chang Feng when he heard Wei Chang Feng asked him to take the call.

Qi Le An noticed Wei Chang Feng’s phone was iphone 1, which was quite luxurious and trendy back then.

It was Gary, he told Qi Le An that the car was ready.

“We are good to go, Wei Sama.”

“Great, I’m all done as well.” with that Wei Chang Feng walked out from behind the counter.

Qi Le An grabbed Wei Chang Feng’s cap from the table and handed it to him, Wei Chang Feng put it on with a smile.

There was still a large crowd in the mall, the two didn’t take the elevator to avoid being recognized.

Gary waved at them from the car, Wei Chang Feng took the back seat directly, Qi Le An didn’t want to be rude to Wei Chang Feng by taking the shotgun, so he took the back seat as well.

Qi Le An felt it so sweltering in the car even though the AC was on.

Wei Chang Feng burst into laughter as he saw how ill at ease Qi Le An was, “Hey, am I that scary?”

Qi Le An gave a start, “Pardon? No! Of course not!”

“Why are you so nervous about then?” a smile lingered on Wei Chang Feng’s face.

Qi Le An felt it more sweltering in the car.

Gary bantered Qi Le An, “I know why, it’s not because you are too scary, it’s because you are too gorgeous.”

Wei Chang Feng’s phone vibrated, Wei Chang Feng replied slowly as he checked his phone, “An is still a boy, don’t tease him like this.”

Gary smiled and changed his target, he started to banter with Wei Chang Feng... ...

Qi Le An felt more and more relaxed as he heard them joking around.

The day had definitely taken a turn for the better for him, Wei Chang Feng made him a latte and now he was taking him for the famous B City Roast Duck... he felt so close to Wei Chang Feng... ...
