“Nightmare System, the user could control and fabricate someone’s dream upon activation.”

The system explained how it worked like it could see through Qi Le An.

Qi Le An couldn’t help but ask, “Who are you?”

“I am the system.”

Qi Le An found it absurd, so not only had he reincarnated, but also he could control and fabricate someone’s dream through this system.

“You have no access to the system yet given you haven’t bound to the system.”

Bound to the system? How?

Silence.

Three seconds later, a throbbing pain came from Qi Le An’s head, with that data and information flooded into his mind.

It turned out all Qi Le An needed was someone’s hair or nail to control and fabricate their dream. The system fed on people’s negative energy. The more negative energy induced by the system in their dream, the more powerful the system would become. The more scary the system made their nightmares, and more negative energy they would produce, thus it became a perfect vicious circle!

However, the host couldn’t shut the system once it was activated, the host would end up having nightmares if the host couldn’t fabricate a nightmare for someone else.

Qi Le An didn’t hesitate, he chose to become a host. As young as fifteen, he wasn’t as capable as he would like to be yet. But he was able to fight back now that he had this system.

Qi Le An fell asleep after he chose to become the host of the system, he didn’t sleep well though, with a lot of stuff flashing in his mind. It was almost seven o’clock when he woke up next morning.

Most trainees in Glory Entertainment were under eighteen, they signed unjust contracts with the company and worked day and night for their dreams. They had general knowledge course in the morning and specialized courses such as singing, dancing and acting in the afternoon, they only had two days off each month.

The trainees were in different classes according to when they signed the contract with the company, about thirty trainees in one class. Two trainees shared a dormitory and there was a head teacher in charge of a class.

Qi Le An’s head teacher was Mr. Li who used to be a manager and was demoted to the post of head teacher in Qi Le An’s class because he had offended the leadership. Mr. Li favored Qi Le An in the whole class, he always thought both Qi Le An’s parents had passed away and Qi Le An had no one to depend on except his own teacher, so he was just being nice to Qi Le An because he was counting on riding on Qi Le An’s coattails one day.

Qi Le An didn’t see that through in his last life, he was grateful to Mr. Li and he was so depressed after Yan Lang had stolen his part and Mr. Li acted like a changed person towards him since that.

Thinking of that, there was a cold smile appeared on Qi Le An’s face. Then he put on his uniform and blow-dried his hair, he checked his meek smile before he left his dormitory.

Qi Le An had become more timid and sensitive after his parents had passed away, he didn’t have any friends in the company, luckily there was no one trying to give him a hard time due to his good personality, he stayed low profile in the class.

They had Chinese, English and vocal physique lesson this day, Glory Entertainment had a high standard for their trainees.

Other trainees had already started training their voices when Qi Le An arrived at the classroom, Yan Lang waved at Qi Le An, “An, here, sit next to me today!”

Everything was the same as Qi Le An had remembered.

Qi Le An walked to Yan Lang, he acted like he was so flattered. Yan Lang was a pretty boy and he was from a rich family, he was a popular kid in the class, Qi Le An wasn’t close to him even though they lived in the same dormitory.

Yan Lang was content to see Qi Le An’s reaction, he handed Qi Le An a yogurt with a chuckle.

Qi Le An took the yogurt and lowered his head. Yan Lang showed a triumphant smile as he saw that.

Mr. Li walked in the classroom about half an hour later, he swept across the classroom with a smile and said with a big smile, “Everyone, I have some news.”

Qi Le An noticed Yan Lang sat up straight immediately.

“A casting director will do a casting in our class tomorrow, here’s some materials I want you to read before the audition, I hope you all can cherish this opportunity and do your best in the audition.” with that Mr. Li cast a glimpse at Qi Le An specifically.

That had provoked an uproar in the classroom, this was the first time that a casting director came to them for an audition, such a great opportunity!

“Qi Le An, distribute the materials to your classmates.” Mr. Li asked Qi Le An to do it as usual.

Qi Le An’s heart started hammering because he knew the casting director was looking at them outside the classroom.

Qi Le An took the material and distributed it to his classmates, he did it with so much faith this time.

Mr. Li left the classroom soon, and the trainees couldn’t wait to express how exciting the news was. Qi Le An, on the other hand, started to read the material carefully.

The casting director was looking for the role of the Male lead’s Spirit Beast who was timid well-behaved, loyal and clever, it was not a small part, and it sacrificed itself for its master in the end.

Time passed quickly when someone’s mind was occupied, it felt like Chinese and English classed finished within a second. Yan Lang asked Qi Le An to join him for lunch, but Qi Le An turned him down under the pretext of he wasn’t feeling well.

Yan Lang of course hadn’t suspected for a second, he left Qi Le An alone, feeling sorry for himself.

The first thing Qi Le An did after returned to the dormitory was looking for Yan Lang’s comb. He wrapped the hair with a tissue and buried it deep inside his drawer before he went to lunch.

The contract Glory Entertainment signed with the trainees, or more specifically, with the trainees’ guardians were somewhat like an indenture, the company would pay the guardian a handsome amount of money on condition that the trainees would get train and then work for the company in the next following twenty years.

The trainees live and train under the same roof, they even wore uniforms, the outsiders would think they all got equal treatment. But that was hardly the case, they could only get a small portion of meals every day because they needed to keep thin, but the trainees could get a bigger portion as long as they were willing to spend money.

And Qi Le An was a victim, he was always strapped for cash so his belly was always rumbling. However, he was grateful for that period of time, the casting director saw him a fit to the role because of his figure.

It was physique lesson in the afternoon, all the trainees worked even harder in the class because now they more motivated.

Mr. Li held a routine class meeting after class, their company saw them as potential money spinners so they had high standards for everyone. The routine meeting was to let everyone know who was doing well and who wasn’t, some punishment might be in store for those who weren’t doing well.

Qi Le An was a good boy, he wouldn’t be on the black list. But Mr. Li asked him to stay after the meeting.

“An, join me for dinner.” Mr. Li said with a pleasant smile that he couldn’t hide.

Qi Le An acted like he was so flattered, “Mr. Li... ...”

Mr. Li’s smile got brighter, “Join me, Director Cui would like to know you.”

Qi Le An’s eyes were wide open as he heard that, that was such a surprise! Seeing that, Mr. Li nodded with satisfaction.

All the trainees were require to wear uniforms in classes, but their uniforms were designed in a fashionable way, unlike other high schools in China. As a matter of fact, their uniforms were quite flattering to their countenance and figures.

Director Cui was glad to see Qi Le An came to dinner in his uniform, he was more certain that Qi Le An must be a good boy, meanwhile Qi Le An looked very timid, Director Cui was even more pleased.

Everyone was satisfied, so was Mr. Li, he even patted on Qi Le An’s shoulder and encouraged him to do his best the next day in audition.

Yan Lang soon bombarded Qi Le An with questions as soon as Qi Le An entered the dormitory door, “Why are you so late? What’s going on?”

Qi Le An remembered what he had said in his last life, “I went to dinner with Mr. Li, don’t worry.”

“I’ve just run a few laps.” Qi Le An smiled.

“Good one.” replied Yan Lang, then he handed Qi Le An a bottle of lemonade, “I had one at dinner, it’s quite refreshing, I bought one for you as well, try it!”

It was this lemonade that had cost him the first precious opportunity in his last life!

Qi Le An took the lemonade with full composure, “Thanks, I will save it for tomorrow.”
