《My Fake Boyfriend》Gloves and Bruises

"You're right, I am a cheat." He said simply with a shrug to which Avalon stared at him in confusion. This, I didn't blame her for because I didn't get what he was speaking of either.
He ran a hand through his hair yet again before speaking.
"I cheated a girl, not figuratively, but in the way that I didn't do right by her. She deserves better and I cheated her by not giving her all that I could...." Aaron drawled off and I thought he was finished. That was until his eyes settled on me and he opened his mouth to speak.
"But, I'm gonna fix that."
With those final words, he made his way over to me and pulled me into him.
And, then his lips were on mine.
*****************
Nothing.
At first, I did nothing as his soft, but firm lips moved on mine. He closed the small gap remaining between our bodies and an arm encircled my waist, while his hand held my face gently as though I would break from the touch.
The touch of his lips evoked such euphoric emotions within me. It felt crazy to say I felt fireworks, but electricity was a far more fitting word. Yes, electricity was definitely a better description for this.
We could probably heat up a small cup of tea with this kiss.
I dismissed any thoughts of a probable scientific experiment that we both could conjure up together and turned my focus on the matter at hand.
Wait, what was the matter again?
Oh, I remember. Aaron kissing me with those god-like lips of his. Oh, and the fact that his god-like lips were not receiving any response or encouragement from my side.
Oh boy.
The feel of his lips against mine brought back memories of the other times between us and my body heated up, at the thought. Just the way his mouth moved on mine was enough to melt me to the floor. I couldn't resist.
And, with that, I moved my lips in pace to the passionate rhythm created by my counterpart.
If the feel of only his lips moving on mine created electricity, then right now, I was being struck by lightening. And, oddly, I was okay with that.
Heck, we could probably power a small city.
I felt Aaron smirk against my lips as I joined in on his little 'mouth waltz' and I resisted the urge to knee him in the stomach. I didn't, however, because the urge to kiss him was far greater than the need to see him in pain.
Well, maybe not far greater...
I moved my hands to encircle around his neck. My eyes widened when I was slightly lifted off the ground with the arm that was strewn across my waist, my feet hovering above the floor.
Aaron laughed against my lips from my reaction and I punched his chest, in response. I moved a hand to stroke through his hair, enjoying the feel of his soft dark locks in my hands. He was perfect.
We pulled back, finally, our faces just inches apart. His sea-blue gaze was fixated on me as he caressed my cheek with the back of his hand, a breathtaking smile on his face.
"God, you're beautiful." He muttered, more to himself than me, but I heard it and I couldn't help but blush at his words. This made the smile on his face widen. He lowered me to the floor, slowly, his eyes never leaving mine.

Only then was it that I realised there were others, in the room. Anxious and embarrassed, I turned my gaze directly to the floor, sparing no glance to the three pairs of eyes that had witnessed what had just occurred between Aaron and I.
Well, until a voice spoke up.
"No, go ahead, carry on. You've already broken my heart; what more could you do?" Avalon whispered, the hurt evident in her tone. She wasn't looking towards our direction, but rather to the wall on the other side of the room. Tears streaked down her face, creating an evident line in her foundation, giving her the appearance of a cracked porcelain doll.
Porcelain doll? More like Chucky.
I dismissed the nasty thoughts that ran though my head about the woman that stood before me. Yes, she was many things. But, in the end, she was a human being and- right now- she was hurting. After all, one must never kick a person whilst their down.
Aaron sighed, but not in frustration; it was more in desperation. He moved away from me and closer to Avalon.
"Avalon, whatever happened between us; what you did, I forgive you for it. I really do. We don't need to cling on to whatever happened between us. At the time, what we had, was good. But, now, we need to move on. You need to move on." He stated gently, putting emphasis on the word 'you'.
His eyes scanned Avalon's face, almost as though he was trying to search for some understanding in her. But, such a thing never came.
She sneered in response to his words, raising a finger to point at me.
"I know, you'll regret it, choosing her over me. But, when you come to that realisation, I won't be your shoulder to cry on. Don't think of coming to me, I won't be there." She replied, a warning in her tone.
Danny scoffed, all of a sudden, at her words.
"Oh, I think he'll live, but thanks for the advice, Dr. Phil." He taunted, the sarcasm heavy in his tone and I had to clamp a hand over my mouth to the stop the laughter escaping.
Justin's gaze was directed towards the floor, but the smile on his face could not be mistaken. He shook his head slightly at his companion's words.
Avalon glared pointedly at Danny before shaking her head as though her 'sass tank' had run dry. She offered no response to his words, but- rather- turned her gaze back to Aaron, a bitter smile on his face.
"I thought you'd wait for me, you know? Whilst I was in Scotland, you were on my mind 24/7. Just you. I thought it'd be the same for the both of us, but- turns out- it wasn't. That's okay though. I guess, life goes on. You can't control these things. But, I'll never love anyone as much I love you, Aaron. That is the truth." She sobbed out and I feared she might faint of dehydration from the amount of water she cried out of her body, in such a short period of time.
Aaron nodded his head, a serious look on his face. He folded his arms as he spoke.
"Yeah, you're right. Your life will go on, with or without me. In this case, without me. You will be missed." He said in a serious tone, but I didn't miss the amusement and sarcasm hidden, in his tone. I don't think Danny or Justin did either. Only Avalon seemed oblivious to this and she nodded before speaking.

"I know, I will. You're gonna miss all this." She said with a smirk before strutting to the door in an attempt to make a dramatic exit. Well, a dramatic exit it would have been, if Danny hadn't gotten involved.
He trailed behind her, a hand raised towards her back.
"Begone, she-demon! Return to the dark hole from which you came!" He bellowed to which Avalon glared at him as she walked out the door.
He followed her out the door as she made her way to the stairs. Justin looked at their retreating figures with a blank look before turning to Aaron.
"I'll see her out. I don't trust Danny not to throw a punch." He stated bluntly and, with that, he was out the door.
I smiled at his words before realising where I was. In the room. With Aaron. Just the two of us. I gulped loudly and kept my eyes glued to the floor. Only for a while though because curiosity got the better of me and I raised my head, slowly, to look at him.
Well, looked at him to see him already looking at me. I smiled slightly and he smiled back, but the silence still pursued.
He opened his mouth to speak, but closed it again as though he couldn't find the words.
Danny's voice boomed from downstairs.
"In the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, I condemn you back to hell!" His voice boomed.
And, the silence was broken with the sound of our laughter.
*******************
"Aaron, seriously?" I said, glaring jokingly at him.
He held his hands up in surrender, a smirk on his lips.
"Hey, calm the anger, gorgeous. It's an opinion, not a fact." He replied, leaning back against the headboard of the bed we were currently sat on.
I nudged his arm with my elbow to which he winced exaggeratedly. I rolled my eyes before speaking.
"It may be my opinion, but it's right and overrules yours. Face it, white chocolate is the best, no question about it." I said with a shrug.
Aaron raised an eyebrow at my words, the smirk still on his face.
"Better than milk chocolate?" He questioned to which I nodded.
He nodded slowly in response as though he was processing what I said. He bit his lip in thought and it took everything in me not to kiss him again. Thankfully, he spoke before I put my thoughts into action, a smile on his face.
"White chocolate is better then." He finalised, a cheeky smile on his lips.
My eyes narrowed in suspicion at both the tone of his voice and the expression on his face.
"Uh huh... and what's with the sudden change in your opinion, may I ask?" I questioned, knowing fully well that Aaron was up to something.
Aaron shook his head, the cheeky smile still playing on his face. He rocked back and forth as he spoke.
"Can I not agree with you, without you thinking I'm hatching a devious plan?" He questioned, his tone too innocent for it to be genuine.
I scoffed at his words, folding my arms.
"Really? So, your motives are?" I asked, the accusatory tone evident in my voice.
Aaron's smile widened at this, his eyes alit with a blue fire. Suddenly, his hand was on my wrist and I was pulled towards him. I blushed at my current position on Aaron's lap, avoiding his gaze. He didn't seem to like this, however, and his hand reached out to lift my face up. He scanned my face with fiery eyes, his voice a gentle whisper as he spoke.
"My motives are to do what I've been failing to do, this whole time. I want to make you happy, Lexi. I want to be the reason for the smile on your face." His eyes were set on mine as he spoke while his hand stroked my hair.
I smiled at his words, bringing Aaron's attentions to my lips. His hand moved to my face and he touched my lips with a finger.
"Just like this." He muttered to himself, adoration clear in his eyes.
I cleared my throat to response, but stopped upon hearing the door open. Danny walked in the door with two pink oven gloves, on his hand and a grin on his face.
"Pecan pie, anyone?" He asked excitedly, completely ignoring the fact that I was sat on Aaron.
Sometimes, I tend to forget that he is deemed as a 'player'.
I laughed internally at the thought. Yes, Danny was attractive. But, to see him as something other than a cute little manchild was far beyond my reach of thinking.
Aaron didn't make a move to push me off his lap but, rather, drawed an arm lazily around my waist. He raised an eyebrow at Danny's words.
"You mean the pecan pie I brought that comes in a box, Danny? Those gloves aren't fooling anyone." Aaron said, motioning to the oven gloves on Danny's hands.
Danny seemed confused for a moment, but then his eyes lit up and he motioned towards the gloves.
"Oh, these gloves? No, I wore them because I was cold and Justin wouldn't let me turn up the heat." Danny explained , with a pout.
Suddenly, Justin appeared behind Danny, smacking his head to which Danny squealed.
"Yeah, that's because the dial you were turning was the oven heat and it doesn't apply to the rest of the room." He said, a dull annoyance in his tone.
He spared another glare towards Danny before turning to Aaron and I.
"Get downstairs, guys. I've ordered pizza." He stated, pushing Danny out the door.
Aaron and I laughed at this as I made a move to get off his lap. I skipped towards the door, scoffing when Danny began to skip as well. Not being careful enough, I banged my hand on the side of the door, a loud whimper leaving my lips.
Aaron moved in to inspect, but Justin quickly took ahold of my hand, concern evident in his eyes as he examined it. I winced in pain when he touched the red area, near my knuckles. Justin tutted at this.
"Can you try being a bit more careful?" He asked. The question was rhetorical but i answered, nevertheless.
"I'm sorry, Justin. But, it's fine. It's just a bruise." I murmured to which Justin's dead grey eyes settled on me. His voice harsh as he spoke.
"No, it's not just a bruise, Alexis. It kills me when you're in pain." He said, blowing softly on my hand.
And, Danny could have broken his neck from how fast it whipped to look at Aaron.
