Oh my inspiration was that inner voice you get some times when you are reading a story and the characters are stupid. Like you are reading a werewolf story and the big bad alpha guy is just terrible and horrible to the main character and your inner dialogue is just straight up savagely tearing him apart. That's where this book came from. I just took that voice, made a character for it, and stuck it in a world of werewolf story cliches!

Honestly it was how far was too far with the sarcasm. My sense of humor and sarcastic nature is a lot different than that of someone else's so I really needed to temper that with what would be considered acceptable while still being true to main characters rambling internal monologue about everything around her.

Also it was very hard to not make her look insane with the level she sometimes jumps from happy to angry. So it was hard finding a balance with that.

Very positive. People loved having that internal sarcastic monologue voice have its own book filled with cliches from a genre they loved. Which was great for me because it meant I did my balancing act perfectly between what was bland and what went too far.

Oh the humor. I loved letting that savage inner monologue have free reign to go ham on the cliches. It was the best part of the story. I enjoyed it so much!

It is the first book in a series but you don't need to read the others. You do if you want to catch up on Sasha and her beau but its not necessary

That sometimes its okay to laugh at your situation or to find humor in dark things. That laughter can be the best medicine and that those cliches about relationships aren't necessarily something to aspire too.

Take it one chapter at a time. Some chapters will take forever and will feel like pulling teeth but you just need to get through them. Also plan your book out. Create and outline and stick to it as best as you can.

Oh yes. She is just as sarcastic as I am and I love that. Its a side of me my readers dont necessarily get to see so Im glad I was able to show that side to everyone using Sasha.

Having a good community and writing for yourself. Fads change and if you write for them you might find yourself lacking passion and readers can pick up on that. Write foe yourself and what makes you happy. You will gain readers who can feel that in your writing and who feel the same way.

Oh yes. I have 2 more book in Modern Cliches to write. I've started book 3, then I have the Twisted Dark series to write as well as a big series Forgotten. I also have some stand-alone books floating in my head to write. So I am far from finished!
