The plot development. When I got to chapter 6 I lost inspiration. I couldn't decide where to go from there that I abandoned it for over three months, but I was able to pick it up early last year and completed it in October 2019.
I enjoyed the developing love between Lee and Chris. It wasn't rushed.

It was supposed to be a series, but I changed my mind and made it a standalone. I can't say if it will be in the future though.

I want them to understand that honesty, patience, trust and endurance is really important in every relationship. Also, you can love again, don't be put down by your past disappointment.

Too high and you were a threat to those interested in keeping the status quo, a weed to be nipped before it could grow and take root. Too low and you were nobody, fated to be a bit more than a simple farmer. What if someone, somewhere, came up with a zero for their level cap? Unable to use Essence, unable to level up. On all of recorded history, it never happened. Until it did. In a small village of fur-less and tail-less ape-beastkin, a boy found out he was uniquely handicapped. Nero's level cap was Zero. But he'd never let that stop him from reaching his goals. ------------------------------------------------ All stories have already been told. We merely reuse elements from them. From Joseph Campbell's Monomith to Stephen King's advice, and that encyclopedia of tropes you've visited, fiction has been dissected and reassembled countless times. One will surely find elements inspired on other works here. Just like cooking from basic ingredients, the recipe and presentation is what really matter. This is a fantasy adventure, of someone that goes from a zero to a slightly bigger zero. It will have romance but no harem. Cruelty but with hope dimly shining ahead. First and foremost, I must apologize as this story is currently on an indefinite hiatus. School, my main project, and writer's block have gotten in the way. I was rather unprepared when I began posting this and kind of just did it on a whim. Thus, I shall ensure I am thoroughly prepared before posting anything else, but I plan to return to this someday to conitnue it. What better retirement plan for a scumbag than to become a demon? Whether he likes it or not, that's Berrick's only choice. Heaven thinks hell is getting a little lukewarm and Berrick is just the guy to heat things up again. Vital lessons, and more importantly, warnings. Because even though humanity and it's allies had taken to the heavens and prospered like never before, their actions had caused sleeping dragons to stir. Across the universe, a bitter war between mortal and spiritual forces is being waged. Humanity now faces extinction, and if we don't play our cards right, extinction is all but certain. But even though their adversaries have veritable gods among them, humanity still has a few tricks up it's sleeve...
