“Imagine… Being just nineteen years old. Figuring out the world from the palm of your parents hands while juggling a mental illness called Schizophrenia. Then having to be shoved into an illegal business where killing, drugging, kidnapping, was involved. It fucked me up so many times, I just wished it was just a dark imagination I made up. But it wasn't.” Jimin whispered as Jungkook teared up after hearing all of this. “It turned me into a monster and I clung onto you… I've ruined your life, haven't I? But letting you go is something I can never plan on doing. You're the only one who loves me for me. You don't care about how bad my mental illness has gotten, you don't care about the amount of money I have and you only wish to raise such a family with me. I love you for that, Jungkook.” Jimin confessed and that’s when Jungkook slightly moved into tears and looked at his lover once he sat up.

“Jimin… Let's leave.” Jungkook spoke out and this caused Jimin's eyes to widen and bolt at the younger. “Let's run away together, you don't have to suffer like this! Take your medications, we can take Suyong and leave this all behind!” Jungkook found himself running in circles with Jimin. Arguing with him about the fact that they could always have a new life, but Jimin refused. Knowing well that this was his life now.

“Why can't you understand that this is what I am?! I'm the villain here… I'm no good and I try.. I try to keep my rose against my heart, but it never works because that rose I keep so close to me, hurts me with it's thorns. Ah, Jungkook… now I wish I've never told you how much I've suffered in this, now you won't leave me alo-”

“You want me to just ignore what happened to you?! Is that it?! The years of mental abuse they've given you, and you think someone that loves you, will just let it slide? They've hurt you too many times and you can't quit?”

Suddenly, Jimin turned over and cupped Jungkook's chin with his right hand, squishing the boy's lips to pucker so suddenly. “Drop… It…” Jimin hissed into a whisper. “You talk any more about it and they will hurt you… I don't want them to hurt my, Jungkook. Do you understand?” Asked the older in a scary tone to his voice as Jungkook's gleam in his eyes rushed down with every tear that followed with his eyes batting close and open once more. Jimin saw Jungkook's tears run and the only thing he did was watch it fall to build the boy to be strong. “I don't want to hurt you, Baby… So stay like this. Stay like a silent and beautiful little fool that you are… And no one gets hurt.”

“Jimin… But the pills-”

“Close your eyes, lay down, and sleep. I think we're done talking for the early morning. The sun will rise soon.” Jimin ordered the boy as Jungkook closed his eyes while tears fell down his face. Feeling upset that he couldn't help his Jimin at all. Out of everything, helping the man was something Jeon Jungkook could never do. He learned more about the man that moment. He learned that Jimin never chose a life like this, he was abused in his head multiple times until it awfully shaped him, Jimin did his best to save the one he wanted from the start, allowed Yoongi to go undercover to make sure Jungkook was safe at all costs, and even worked hard until he knew Jungkook would be safe. At the end of the day, it was just the thought that counted, right?

Once the sun rose, a little into the afternoon was when Jungkook woke up. Throughout the hour he spent with Jimin on the bed, they didn't hug each other and this left Jungkook to hug a pillow all night. Even if he had a big blanket over his body, he still felt cold and lacked the warm cuddle from Jimin. Jungkook woke up in silence and blinked; feeling that there was someone next to him in bed and just believed it was Jimin fast asleep. The boy then noticed that there was a sticky note attached to his bare chest. In seconds, Jungkook picked it out and read while he laid facing the opposite side from Jimin.

Jungkook eyed the note until a smile slowly appeared over his face. His eyes were slightly puffy from crying himself to sleep after missing Jimin's touch. The feeling left him hurt, but he knew Jimin didn't mean it at all. This was a job he couldn't escape from at all but, Jungkook just didn't want to believe it. As Jungkook rose his head to the nightstand beyond the veils, he noticed a tray with warm and soft waffles, syrup in a small container to pour, hot green tea with a sticky note that read: Jungkook scoffed looking at the tray and just before he could say anything...he heard a youthful giggle just behind him.

“Koo!!” Shouted the familiar voice into a sweet giggle as Jungkook's eyes blew wide and fixed over the boy who laid by his side. The gift Jimin left Jungkook right by his side, was Suyong himself! The one-year-old boy, wore white footed pajamas to bed as he kept his adoring smile fixed over Jungkook. His silk hair was thrown back and messed with, his round and happy eyes closed into the cute giggles as his pouty lips curved into a smile. Jungkook's heart nearly stopped by seeing the young boy right by his side and it was all he could ever ask for at a time like this.

“Suyong! I finally get to meet you.” Jungkook spoke carefully and noticed that his throat was raspy after yelling for Jimin hours ago. “Give your best friend a hug!” Jungkook said gleefully as Suyong wrapped his small arms around Jungkook's neck to hold him close. The boy was small and very soft just like a pillow. The happy embrace of the boy he longed to see, left Jungkook wanting to hug him for hours. “I'm so happy to see you…”

“Suyong like Koo! Suyong miss Koo…” The child spoke to Jungkook as the two finally pulled away from the hug. “Suyong… Hungry too…” The boy added and looked over at the tray sitting over the nightstand. The child happened to wake up at this hour as well. Not even waking up earlier to eat.

“Don't worry, Suyong. I'll share with you.” Jungkook said and pulled the veils apart to grab the tray and sit down once more. Getting a better look at what was on the wooden tray, Jungkook laid his eyes onto a bowl of fresh and perfectly cut strawberries, blueberries, apples, peaches, orange slices, along with round and juicy grapes. Alongside the bowl of fruits was two muffins that sat alongside a small bottle of orange juice for the boy. “It looks like Jimin made sure there was more for us to share.” Jungkook added as Suyong giggled happily and couldn't help but to continue hugging Jungkook close. Feeling as if he finally met someone he could talk to and play with.

Jungkook pitied the boy who hugged his body. He knew the painful things Suyong has been through while he stayed there and couldn't believe how heartless these people were to inflict pain onto a little boy like him. He was only innocent and young. Right when Jungkook began to hand Suyong the bottle of orange juice, he felt the young boy's tears against his chest. Realizing that Suyong was crying over his skin. This alone made Jungkook stop what he was doing just so he could roll the boy's hair back. Instantly, Jungkook felt Suyong's little heart beat in sync with his and that painted a sudden connection between the boy and Jungkook himself. The older felt something, as if he should have known Suyong for all his life and guilt, not knowing about the pain the boy had.

“Suyong… Don't cry…” Jungkook whispered and that's when Suyong pulled back and covered his own face desperately.

“Suyong… No cry!” Uttered the child, almost as if he was traumatized to tell what he was feeling. He was such a young boy and something like tears rolling down his face, was a nightmare to him. “Suyong… No like the dark… Please Koo, no hurt Suyong…” Sobbed the boy until Jungkook brought the boy into his arms and hugged him carefully.

“No, I'll never send you to a dark room. It's okay to cry… Cry here and I'll hug you close. I won't let those people take you from me..” Jungkook whispered and showed Suyong that it was okay to cry. This alone left Jungkook emotional, just knowing that Jimin must have been harmed just like the way they've shoved the little child into a dark room until he stopped crying.

Meanwhile, Jimin was walking down a dark hall with his black and white suit. The halls of this building was dimmed and the only pale light that shined was through the clock of his phone. As Jimin walked down the hall, he soon reached a meeting room where lights were exposed from glass windows up ahead. There, a woman stood in a black coat, black fishnet leggings, along with a black, floppy, sun hat, that carried a see through, black veil over her face. The woman wore black gloves and stood with a purse over her own right shoulder. As she stood looking out the window, Jimin locked the door and closed it behind him before loosening his tight tie.

“You again.” Jimin spoke out and opened a flap to his coat before pulling out a checkbook. “I almost forgot about you.”

“Of course you did.” Spoke the woman and looked to the side where she caught a glimpse of Jimin stepping closer.

“How is he?” Spoke the woman as Jimin scoffed and walked over to a desk with a pen in his hand to pay her. “You stopped sending me pictures of him… I thought they killed him.”

“Not on my watch. He's perfectly fine. He's with someone special.” Jimin answered and filled out the page.

“Did you get yourself a girl? Is she going to be his future mo-”

“Don't be stupid Kim Juyon. You were at the club that night, you know who I'm with… Don't deny it.” Jimin replied as the woman made a smile before turning around to face Jimin. Her eyes carried regret within the gleam of tears she longed to let go; her lips were painted red, and her skin was as pale as snow. Her black silk hair was tied up into a bun underneath the hat and her coat hugged her body perfectly. She was beautiful and this was where Suyong got his Mother's beauty from.

“So Suyong is with his father as of right now… Did you tell Jungkook that Suyong is his son yet?” The woman asked and approached the table before taking off her hat to show most of her beautiful face hidden behind the black veil.

“Not yet… Or else he would want more of an explanation and I'm not ready to tell him anything.”

“You're off your medications, aren't you?” Whispered Juyon as she rose her gloved hand over Jimin's shoulder. “Take them… No one is going to take Jungkook from you if you do.”

“It's not about who will take him, it's the fact that I'll let him go. The guilt will eat me up and-”

“You don't want to repeat history with him right? You had me locked in because you wanted me and you took Suyong under your wing because you cared too much about me. Now? You let me go and went for Suyong's father, Jungkook.” Chuckled Juyon and patted Jimin's shoulder. “I know you love Jungkook more than you ever did to me. He cares so much about you… And I know for sure that if you come clean to him, he'll accept you. Sadly, I wasn't so honest with him and here I am… Trying to get back on my feet and avoid telling him he's Suyong's biological father.”

“A truth like that… Is heavy enough to hurt him. I can't hurt him, Juyon. He'll get upset with the fact that I-”

“Jimin, even love hurts sometimes. You can't avoid that.” As Juyon said those words, Jimin finished signing off the final digits and handed it over to the woman. “My last payment for Suyong…”

“That's right. You don't have to come back here now and risk him seeing you. Just, send me his papers and I'll finalize the adoption back in Korea where he was born. I just need to tell Jungkook first…”

“Suyong is under Jungkook's name. You don't need to adopt him… That's why I gave him the name Jeon Suyong, right? Jungkook has custody of him and he needs to know it now. You can't hide the evidence anymore. Tell him, Jimin.” Kim Juyon concluded and cleared her throat after. “I'll pass by just to give you Suyong's birth certificate and passport papers and… All the love I should have given him a long time ago.”
