《Uninvited | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 43: No Escape

Jungkook was broken as he got off the bed and began to gather his luggages. A piece of him died and was completely left over the bed where Jimin laid. Jeon Jungkook only hoped to lay in bed with his lover like that once more, but Jungkook held himself back. He couldn't stay even if he wanted to. It was now Jungkook plugged in the many deaths and kidnappings tied into the word ‘pet'. Everything made sense and now Jungkook was no longer blind. Of course, he was still madly in love with his lover, Jungkook wanted more than anything with Jimin but their love fell short once Jungkook knew everything that happened last night. His memory still wasn't clear, but he only recalled the important things that was enough to give him a taste of reality.
Jungkook has never taken the time to fold his clothes and set them into the drawers his lover emptied just for him, and now he was glad he didn't do so. It was quicker for him to gather his things and slip on shoes; Jungkook just planned to leave without Jimin knowing about a thing. The boy just felt that leaving while he still had the chance, was the only option he had now. Surely, staying to love Jimin more was going to end up hurting the boy deep down when he least expected it. Jungkook just had to understand that leaving Jimin at this moment was for the best.
“I-I promised him I'd stay…” Jungkook thought in his head and dragged his luggages out of the room while he began to tear up. “I love him so much… But he's bad for me… Park Jimin is affiliated with these crimes and I can't save him. How could I have been so blind to it all? I love him too much to say goodbye to his face.” Jungkook whispered to himself. Once Jeon Jungkook dragged his luggages to the elevator, he heard the bedroom door close behind him and his heart drop so suddenly.
“Where's my Baby going so early in the morning… and without me?” Jimin asked as Jungkook slowly dreaded on turning around with tears rolling down his face from the fear of having Jimin find out on his own. “You're leaving me… aren't you?”
“Jimin…” Jungkook silently teared up as he looked back to see his lover already wearing a red sleeved shirt over his loose, black joggers, along with his black socks over his feet. Jimin stood still with perfect position as his face carried no emotion; falling into a scary head-tilt. “Just… Take your medications… That's all you have to focus on now…” Jungkook concluded and right when Jungkook was about to make it to the elevator, Jimin looked around and suddenly picked up a glassed plate and threw it to the direction of the boy. Instantly, the plate met with the wall as it shattered and that left Jungkook to stop and stand in fear.
“Stay.”
“Jimin-”
“Don't say anything…. Just stay. Why are you leaving me?! You promised me… You said you loved me! You don't want me anymore?! Did you even want me from the start?” Jimin hissed as he stepped forward and watched how his lover stepped back in fear. At that moment, Jimin just knew Jungkook found out one way or another.

“Don't talk like that, Jimin! You know I love you more than anythi-”
“You know… How much do you know?” Jimin suddenly questioned as Jungkook felt tears rush down his eyes. “Talk to me, Jungkook…”
“I know… You did this to me… The tattoo is nothing but our lives being matched together. I'm your pet, aren't I? And… You're my master…” Jungkook confessed and couldn't even dare to look up at Jimin in the eyes. “I was nothing but a pet to you… a-and if I disobeyed you, I bet I'll be the next one on the news! You put me into sex trafficking… I wonder how many other people you've said you loved and marked them with the same tattoo… I even wonder how many of them you killed before you got to me…” Jungkook then broke into more sobs with the thought of being used. However, Jimin just didn't want Jungkook to focus on this alone.
“I've only loved you. You're not just a pet to me! I've only had you marked to my tattoo… Jungkook, I have never met anyone in my life that I love more than I love you. Jeon Jungkook, I love you more than anything else in this world. There was no one before you and I promised I was never going to hurt you! What makes you think that I'll ever disappoint you like that?” Jimin asked and desperately tried to take Jungkook back under his wing but, the boy grew far from that now.
“You've… Killed people… You're affiliated to bad people, what's wrong with you? I never thought you would be behind this… Now that I think about it, I now know the many things you've done before that I always wondered. I had a tracking chip in my arm and instead of you taking me to the hospital, you hurt me and did it yourself! How could you?! Jimin… did you send all those people after me? Do you know them?”
“Y-Yes…. I sent them. But, only to protect you from the others! You won't understand, Jungkook. I'm not affiliated with them, I run the company that takes part in human trafficking. I am one of them. Jungkook… Please let me explain…”
“I think… I think we should break up…” Jungkook spoke with tears he couldn't stop flowing from his own eyes. “I won't tell anyone if you leave me for good. I think it's better if we walk out of this relationship now.”
“J-Jungkook! No… No, don't leave me! You said you loved me! I love you too, we can ignore this and still stay by each other's-”
“ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY?! Jimin… I don't even know anything about you now. You run a company that sells innocent people and call them pets?” Jungkook asked and dropped his luggage before walking up to his Jimin and shoved him back. “How much did you fucking sell me for?! Huh?”
“I didn't… I didn't sell you, I kept you! I didn't want them to hurt you, so I had you as mine! The other company was my opposing company. They're the ones that always smile, the ones that cause the murders and kidnappings. My company sells them and we work together! My people wear masks with black outfits, their company carries smiles and play mind twisting games. The company Suyong's father is in. I-I saw you on their list and I just knew I couldn't let them get to you…” Jimin continued as tears suddenly began to fall from his round eyes.

“Oh so you just looked at me and only went through everything to save me? No one else?! Jimin you're hurting people for money! I never thought you'd do this… I always thought you were perfect… But knowing that this hides under your mask, I don't know if loving you is going to be good for the both of us…” Jungkook continued as he stepped back once more as Jimin walked forward and just wanted to keep him from leaving. “DON'T FOLLOW ME!”
“Y-You can't leave me… You said you'd never leave me…”
“Jimin, if I keep loving you, you'll end up thinking that whatever you're doing, is a good thing. It's not! You're hurting people and making money from it. You… You took me away from everyone… You… Lied to me countless times. You had contact with Hoseok… He's in the opposing company and you called him to scare me into your arms! You're possessive Jimin… Manipulative… And you're hurting me with this truth I had to find out on my own.” Jungkook then covered his face and couldn't stop his endless sobs. His heart still clung onto Jimin, but leaving him just became harder and harder to do so. “I gave up my public university for you, I left the neighborhood I loved because I was scared of getting killed, I even neglected Yoongi, and I don't know where he is now! I lost everything… But not my mind. I'm scared if I stay here with you longer, I'll lose that too…”
“Jungkook, stay… stay here with me. You can't leave me here like this… I'll lose my mind without you.” Jungkook heard Jimin's begs and never expected to hear this out of everything. “I made them put that tattoo on you, I made them set that chip into your arm, I made them protect you and I made Hoseok scare you into my arms. I even tracked you down to make a tutoring account to catch you in my arms once you jumped, to my surprise, I began to love you and feel the need to protect you. Jungkook, I didn't mean to let you find out about me like this. All I wanted to do was protect you from them… That's why my company and theirs faced many flaws. They wanted you and I didn't grant them permission.” Jimin told Jungkook everything, but even that didn't seem to suffice. “Oh, why can't we just go back?” Jimin cried and moved in to bring Jungkook into a tight hug in his arms. “We could love each other without thinking of this…”
“H-How can I? How can I live without thinking about this every day? Thinking about how you will hurt more people and sell them off to rich perverted women and men...I can't love you if I know you're not who I thought you were…” Jungkook uttered and slowly pulled himself back from Jimin's grasp. “I need to go while I still can.”
Just when Jungkook pulled away and turned to leave, Jimin gripped onto his lover's wrists to stop him from leaving. “I still love you…”
“I love you, but… It's going to hurt me more to leave you than loving you…” With that whisper Jimin's eyes gleamed with a final tear falling from his eyes once Jungkook completely detached his hand from Jimin's. There was no hope to continue their relationship because of this… They loved each other so much, but if Jungkook was to show Jimin love for something that wasn't right, it was going to end up hurting them both mentally; let alone the fact that Jimin was already suffering through his mental illness. Jimin allowed Jungkook to leave as he watched the love of his life approach the elevator and press the button with silent tears rolling off his gloomy face.
Jimin didn't want to hold Jungkook against his own will and hurt the boy when he wanted to leave. No matter how bad Jimin really was, hurting Jungkook was the last thing he'll ever do and that's the promise he stuck to from the start. Jimin allowed Jungkook to take his things and go… For now. As Jungkook stepped into the elevator, he looked back to hear his Jimin's sobs echo in the dimmed living room. Forcing himself to watch in pain on a rainy day. Jungkook knew that if he was to leave Jimin, it would at least give him a thought to turn his life around if he truly loved the boy. So, Jungkook knew how to save his tears until the actual end.
The elevator doors soon closed and their hearts broke from exchanging glances like the first time they did before. Jungkook was finally gone and the boy only shed more tears on his way down to the lobby. Not wanting to leave at all even if it was for the best. With his heart, he had to hold himself back from pushing the penthouse button, with his heart, he had to learn to let go, and with his heart… His fragile and lonely heart, he had to let the one he ever loved, go from his dark life now. Hoping that maybe soon they'll meet once more and start a new love together without Jimin's illegal business of human trafficking.
Meanwhile, Jimin's eyes stopped shedding tears as he stared at the elevator with a blank expression. “I said… don't follow me...or else you'll end up in my arms with no escape…” Jimin whispered to himself and started to laugh like his heart didn't break seconds ago. Even if it really did, Jimin thought of ways to fill in the cracks of his mirror-like heart. “Let's see how you like me when I'm off my rockers. I only gave you a head start, Jeon Jungkook…” Jimin then stood up and took his pills out from his pocket and uncapped them before flinging the whole bottle across the living room. Happily watching the medications jump out of the bottle with a twisted smirk. “Now… I'll give you exactly… Forty-two hours to let that sink in… And only then, I'll let the real games begin.”

The Simulacrum
"He who fights with harem tropes should see to it that he himself does not become a harem protagonist. And if you gaze for long into a narrative, the narrative gazes also into you." --- Friedrich Nietzsche (probably?) How would you react if one day you woke up inside an environment running on tropes and clichés? For allegedly average high-schooler Leonard Dunning, this question became quite relevant when one day he woke up in a pristine city on a strange island in the middle of the Atlantic, without any memories, surrounded by classmates who are barely more than characterless placeholders, and with a classic indecisive harem protagonist and his impossibly beautiful love interests for friends. That would be hard to deal with already, yet his investigation into the tropes governing the world, trying to avoid harem shenanigans, and his odd blend of outside-context knowledge, unique abilities, and a penchant for causing trouble wherever he goes ends up dragging him into the center of the action anyway. Disclaimer: This is a tongue-in-cheek, slice of life romantic comedy, with occasional sprinkles of combat and mystery to spice things up. Please do not expect a straight up deconstruction beyond some in-universe meta-commentary by the characters.
