《Uninvited | Jikook Smut |》Chapter 38: Drowning

“What happened to Suyong, Doll?” Jimin suddenly asked the boy from around the corner of the hall where his bedroom was close by. “Don't you want to talk to him?” With the sound of Jimin's sudden voice surprising the boy, Jungkook flinched and switched Jimin's phone off. “You did realize that you can call Suyong back… Right?”
“I-I… Uh…” Jungkook stopped himself from communicating further. Of course, he wasn't stupid. All those smiles over contacts and even within the messages ‘TH' sent him, Jungkook knew this had to do with the many deaths of those kidnapped people who had smiley stickers over their Band-Aids and cryptic tattoos. Jungkook knew Park Jimin's company must have been affiliated. “Suyong… Was playing over the bed and he hung up after….”
“Call him back. He doesn't know how to do that. That's why his caregiver lends him the phone to talk to me whenever he wants to.” Jimin pointed out to the boy as Jungkook turned his head back to call the boy once more into facetime. As silence followed the room, Jimin threw on his dress shirt and set in the buttons while glaring at Jungkook. Only questioning, what did Jungkook know? Apparently, Jungkook's mind began to put so much together as he tried to remain calm and eat. No wonder there were many smiling people. It seemed to him that Jimin was in contact with people like this and with that, brought in the note Jung Hoseok wrote over the book and potentially wrote over the bag Jimin claimed to bring.
These thoughts scared Jungkook and only now, he realized why Jimin was so lonely. Could he have been supporting their gang? Eventually, Suyong answered and dried his tears before letting out a cute giggle to see Jungkook finally come back. “Koo!”
“Hi, Suyong! W-Why is Suyong crying…?” Jungkook asked and couldn't pry Jimin's eyes off from his back. Park Jimin knew Jungkook was nervous and stood there; adjusting his white dress shirt underneath the black suspenders with a stare that left Jungkook just choking on his own air.
“Suyong miss Koo and Pa!” The little child confessed and set the phone on the bed to look down at it. “Suyong wants to see Koo!”
“Suyong, very soon I'll come back to Japan and bring Jungkook as well. Just so you wouldn't be lonely.” Jimin claimed as Jungkook felt his heart pound in fear. However, he didn't make it obvious now since he was still unsure with who he was dealing with. Even then, one huge question filled his head and that was, who was Park Jimin? The man kept many secrets and as the seconds went by, Jungkook was discovering much more. “He'll be there with you, won't you, Jungkook?”
“Yes, of course! I can't wait to meet you, Suyong.” Jungkook replied and hearing the happy tone to Jungkook's voice, left Jimin doubting everything the boy did. With the voices he heard in his head, his strange behavior, and constant doubts from his Schizophrenia, Jimin found it difficult to believe every sentence Jungkook said. On the other hand, the sad part was the fact that Park Jimin was right all along. “Suyong, did you eat yet?”

“Suyong ate a lot! Suyong ate rice, egg, beef, kimchi! What Koo eating?” Suyong jumped in and moved his eyes closer to the screen so he could see what Jungkook was eating. This led to Jungkook slowly feeling a little at ease after his own thoughts bombarded him with so much beliefs and theories… Could there have been a misunderstanding? Jungkook ignored his thoughts and focused on Suyong as Jimin couldn't dare to keep an eye off Jungkook. It looked as if Jungkook knew too much by getting at nothing… And this was the thing that seemed to let the air out of Jimin's lungs.
Jungkook flipped the camera and showed Suyong his tray of food as he then showed Jimin's. “That's Jimin's… But he's busy staring at me while getting ready for work.” Jungkook teased and looked back to assure Jimin that everything was fine with a light grin over his face.
“Suyong will eat it!” The boy sounded as if he was threatening Jimin as he heard the older let out a chuckle. “O-Oh Suyong has playtime! Suyong will go!” Suyong claimed and waved at Jungkook happily. “Bye, Koo! Bye, Pa!”
“Goodbye, Suyong. Let's talk again soon.” Jungkook told the boy and that's when his scary caregiver picked the boy up and then hung up the call. Only leaving his creepy and eerie smile over the screen right after. As much as Jungkook didn't want to end the call there, he did and locked Jimin's phone instantly after. Remaining in silence as he continued to eat.
“Such a good kid...isn't he?” Jimin's voice reached a dark tone as if Jungkook was in trouble with him now. “You can tell he really loves you…” The voice of the man continued as he slowly tied his own tie and made his way to Jeon Jungkook. “Suyong is such an innocent boy. I feel bad that I don't spend proper time with him… I'm the one who's going to adopt him soon. Of course, once his mother agrees on it. She's so used to making me take care of him forever instead of giving him over to me…”
“Is his caregiver… His father?” Jungkook asked as he slurped the noodles from the bowl. “I remember you said his father was at least in the opposing company and Suyong is living near him as well… He just doesn't know yet… Right?”
“Right. His father is too busy for him. Busy handling business to know that he has a child. No parents want him, but I do… Do you?”
“Yes… He's very adorable. Am I really going to Japan to stay with him? Won't you stay with me too?” Jungkook questioned the older. Slowly raising his eyes up to see the man walk before him and crouch down to look him in the eyes clearly. Only now, Jungkook noticed that it took two whole minutes for Jimin to blink. This side of Park Jimin, scared the young student.

“Of course I will. I still need to help you with college work, get you to your dream job as a doctor, and stay by your side and love you unconditionally.” Jimin spoke softly and then moved Jungkook's bowl away from his hands before crawling up to cage the boy against the couch. “Baby, you don't look too good… Have you been overthinking?” The low and soft rasp to Jimin's voice left Jungkook in a trance as he slowly rose his hands up Jimin's arms.
“What have I been overthinking, Jimin?” Jungkook asked and trailed his hands up to rest over the points of Jimin's shoulders the man had over Jungkook's body. “Everything is alright…”
“Doesn't feel like it, Darling.” Jimin told the boy and leaned in to kiss his lover against his neck. “Mm… tell me what's on your mind… you can tell me anything… Right?” Jimin asked and continued to kiss the boy on the neck until he had Jungkook huffing and smiling underneath him. “Talk to me now…”
“I-I… I just think… it's better to raise Suyong… If he had two parents involved…” Jungkook spoke out. Of course, the boy wanted this more than anything. But, knowing what he suspected about Jimin; made him put a pause into that fantasy until he was able to prove anything further. “You… and me…”
“You want to raise him with me?” Jimin asked and stopped to press his forehead against Jungkook's “Oh darling. I'm glad!” Jimin spoke into a chuckle as Jungkook knew he had to lie for now. He couldn't tell what Jimin was capable of and the love he had for Park Jimin; still grew… But it was also covered over a shadow of fear that was colliding against each other like a pile of ships going against the stronghold of the current. “We'll raise him together… Like a married couple! We'll be together forever and Suyong wouldn't have to be alone anymore. Ah, I can't wait to have you with me when we go to Japan.”
“I love you, Jimin. You won't ever hurt me, right?” Jungkook asked to assure himself and just seeing the smile lighten up his lover's face, made Jungkook feel a little safe. But, that didn't mean Jungkook dropped all guards around Park Jimin. He was still puzzled about the man and only longed to look around the penthouse once his boyfriend leaves. Until then, Jungkook wanted to embrace this sweet hour when he still believed Jimin was as perfect as any of the different waves along the shore of a sandy beach; falling perfectly as the ocean pulled the waves back and then clashed onto the sand. Even then, Jungkook believed that oceans seemed as a perfect comparison to Jimin since every ripple of the water; showed Jimin's imperfections.
“I would never, Jeon Jungkook…” Jimin promised into a whisper against Jungkook's ear as he then traced his gentle kisses down to the jawline of the younger underneath him. “If I wanted to, I would have already done so… But I won't. I love you more than anything… More than myself… I love you too much to the point where I just can't live without you.” Jimin's words repeated from the first time he whispered them to the boy. Assuring Jungkook that he would never hurt his Jungkook and love would always blossom between the two. On the other hand, there stood the fear of seeing what Jimin hid.
“Jimin…” Jungkook whispered. Guiding his hands up Jimin's chest and smiling down to adjust his lovers tie. “My love for you is unconditional… Only for you. Just thinking of living such a calm life as we raise Suyong will be like… we're his real parents… Right? Everything will be peaceful.” Jungkook painted a perfect living just the three of them and it was enough to make Jimin exhale and avoid eye contact with the boy longer. “Peaceful… We deserve that, don't we?”
Jimin softly guided his fingertips up Jungkook's shoulder and caressed the side where Jungkook had his tattoo. “Of course we do. You… me… Suyong… We'll have that soon, won't we?~” The sound of the man's voice against Jungkook's ear left the younger longing for a calm life with Jimin and for once, he just wanted to set aside all the issues that made him jump to conclusions and slowly fear his lover. Deep down, Jungkook didn't want to fear his boyfriend but his thoughts gave him no other choice. Jeon Jungkook was finally drowning.
Once Jimin finally left that morning, Jungkook searched everywhere; he searched underneath the bed, underneath the mattress, within the dressers, and even through every drawer. But there was nothing to trace towards Jimin. It was like he made sure nothing was left behind before Jungkook was to step foot into this penthouse. Jungkook raced to Jimin's office, but the steel door was locked shut like the many secrets remained. “If he loved me… There wouldn't be any secrets to hide…” Jungkook whispered to himself and stepped back to have a feeling that if he was to find a way into the office Jimin locked securely, he may end up running away from Jimin and that was something he was even more scared about. This was going to hurt him more than loving Jimin.
“Tonight… I'll see this all for myself and see what he hides… Only then, I'll know.” Jungkook whispered to himself and backed up before looking at the clock above him. “But when I find out… What will happen to us then?”
