Siva came down and did her pooja before going into the kitchen to instruct "Maniamma! Make dosa, idli, Vada and also upma" as she drank her morning coffee.
"But Sivamma you don't like upma" Maniamma reminded.
"But RK uncle likes it so much so cook it with more tomatoes" Siva said before walking out of the kitchen.
"Siva mam you already started walking you should rest" Alex said.
"I'm okay I heal real quick so don't worry" Siva said and opened the news paper to see ASR picture with takeover of Veerapuram village and raised her eyebrow mumbling "He must love that girl a lot.." before putting it back.
Everyone sat in the living room few busy with their mobiles and others with their chit chats when Karim came in and bowed saying "Sultana! The frame you asked for had arrived" making Siva smile and took it out from the wrapping.
"Hang it to that wall" Siva instructed making Karim bow again and immediately went to his assigned work.
"What is it Siva?" RK asked making Siva smile and say "You'll know once it is hanged to the wall uncle" making everyone curious.
Once Karim completed his task he wiped the photo frame glass clean and slowly got down revealing Rani Gayatri Devi's picture in the middle of all the other deceased family members making everyone widen their eyes.
"What do you think?" Siva asked folding her hands making RK look at the picture with tears in his eyes as he remembered his god given sister and looked at Siva patting her shoulder.
"That's so thoughtful of you dear" RK appreciated her and tried to control his tears.
"Boss will be thrilled" Noel said making everyone nod.
"Now I get where boss gets his looks from" Alex said in wonder looking at the picture.

"Oh come on his father is also handsome..." Veronica said.
"Father?" Everyone stilled hearing Deva's voice and turned to see him walking out of his study and stood directly infront of the photo frame as if remembering something.
"She use to dance everytime it rains" Deva slowly said making Siva look at him and smile sadly.
They heard voices breaking their moment making Deva go back to his usual self as the royal secratariate voice was heard talking to someone else as they neared the front door of the palace.
Everyone turned around to look at the royal secratariate bringing few people making Siva still as she saw her uncles and her father coming inside smiling. But soon their smiles disappeared as they saw Siva there in the palace out of any place.
"Raja vaaru! The zamindar of Veerapuram Suryanarayana Varma is here to meet you" The royal secratariate introduced Siva's father as Siva's uncles expression changed looking at Deva who was the one that took Siva with him back at the airport.
Deva sat back on the single sofa showing his hand towards the opposite couch making them behave normally and took their seats as he said "If you are here this soon there must be a reason for your visit".
"Yes your highness! As you know Mr.ASR took over our village and purchased all the lands now his eyes are on our assets I am here to ask your help in dealing with him" Suryanarayana Varma explained.
Maniamma bought the coffee for the guests who took the cups and started drinking it as she informed "Breakfast is served Raja vaaru" before leaving.
"No" Deva answered making the royal secratariate and Siva's family look at him in shock at his direct answer as he continued "I was the one who gave him full access to your village why would I take it back?"

They looked between Siva and Deva as she stood silently void of any expression looking at Deva as Sai Ram asked "Is it because what we did to Siva?"
"It's because what Mr.Varma did to my wife" Deva icily said.
"What she did was wrong. Her eloping with you brought disgrace for our family" Keshava said.
"Eloping?" Deva smirked continuing "If a husband takes his wife with him how can it be called eloping?"
"What?" Suryanarayana Varma questioned looking between Siva and Deva.

The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.
