《Broken-(A Loki Fanfic)》Chapter Twenty-Four

I felt something soft beneath me as I stirred. I sat up, unsure of what was going on. I looked around the room and realized it was a bedroom. It was much larger and fancier than any room I had ever been in before.
"Am I dead?" I asked myself.
"No," a familiar voice said. Thor walked in and sat on the bed beside me. "Hello, Lilith." He smiled weakly at me.
"What's going on? What about Malekith?"
"That's all over. We beat him. You're on Asgard now."
"Oh." I looked around the room again. I was more observant this time. There was a book shelf on one wall. A closet door sat close to it. The bed was centered on the back wall. The covers were green, the accents black. "Wait, is this...?"
"It is Loki's room. I thought you'd rather be here than in the infirmary." All the memories came flooding back to me. I saw Loki lying on the ground, his body lifeless. I remembered my last encounter with Thanos and that it should of killed me. I wished it had.
My hands shot to my mouth as the familiar sensation of tears came. "No. Loki. I... I..." Thor pulled me into his chest as I sobbed.
"Shh. It's alright."
"No, it's not. He's... He's gone." I had made myself wait to cry until the ordeal with Malekith was over, but it was too much. All of the tears were balled up inside me until they exploded like on overfilled dam.
"I know it is rather soon," he began. I sat up to meet my tears eyes with his. "But my father wishes to speak with you."
"Is he... Does he still want me dead?"

"No, I do not think so."
"Okay. I just need a minute alone, okay?" He nodded as he stood up. He began to walk out before I stopped him. "Thor?" He paused. "Thank you." He smiled at me before leaving.

"Your highness," I said as I knelt before Odin on his throne. "You called for me?"
"Yes," he said as he shifted in his throne. From what I saw of him last time, he was much more relaxed. "I want to tell you that you have been pardoned."
"Pardoned?" I asked.
"Yes, you can now stay in Asgard as a normal citizen if you wish. You will be granted access to both Midgard and Asgard."
"That's very kind, but... what about my Valkyrie duties?" His eyes became dark.
"Unfortunately, since Loki is gone, you no longer have any duties." I froze. I put on a happy enough face for this meeting, but then he brought up Loki.
You're a useless Valkyrie, that's what he means.
"Oh. I'm, thank you, sir. I'll gladly accept your offer."
"I expected you would. It is my understanding that Thor has let you stay in Loki's room." I nodded. "You may continue to stay there if you wish."
"Thank you. It means a lot to me." He nodded solemnly.
"Alright, child. You may go." I looked him in the eye before I left. Something was wrong. Different. I didn't want to argue with one of the most powerful beings in the universe, so I tried to brush it off.
"Thank you." I left the large room and walked back to Loki's room alone. I shut the door behind me and sat on the bed.
I thought of him as I stared at nothing. If I had just gotten my wings out, I could have made it to him. I could have saved him.

I got up and headed over to his closet. I opened the doors to see if he had anything that might fit me. I didn't want to wear the outfit he made for me anymore. I wanted to wear something else.
I grabbed a simple green shirt and some black pants. They were large but it felt nice to wear something that was his. I put on one of his long black coats on. It barely reached my ankles but it somehow fit me perfectly. It matched my dark hair and made my silver eyes stand out.
"Going somewhere?" Thor asked from behind me. I jumped as I turned around.
"Oh my God, don't do that!"
"Sorry. I just came to check on you. But really, where are you going?"
"To earth. Don't worry, I'm coming back."
"Are you going to see your friend?"
"She deserves to know what happened. I can't just leave her and not let her know where I disappeared to for months." He nodded.
"Yes, you are right. Do you wish me to accompany you?"
"No," I answered. "I'm going alone." I was about to walk through the door when he stepped in front of me. "I'm trying to go that way."
"Lilith," he said grimly. "I know things are rough right now, but please, do not shut down. I do not want to see you get hurt."
"I'm as hurt as it gets, Thor. I don't think it can get much worse."
"I'm just worried for you."
"I know. Thank you. I just need some time." He placed a hand on my shoulder.
"You are strong, Lilith." He stepped aside to let me through. "Asgard will be waiting for you when you get back."
"Thanks. I won't be long."

I stood in front of my old dorm, knocking on the door. "Who is it?" Elisa asked from the other side.
"It's me." I heard a crash as the door opened half a second later.
"Lilith? Oh my God, you're here!" She hugged me tightly. She pulled away and looked at me angrily. "Where the hell where you? Why did you just disappear? And what are you wearing? I like it."
"It's a long story, so we should sit down." We sat on my old bed, and I told her everything. I ended up crying, but I kept on going. She deserved to know the truth.
"I'm so sorry, Lilith. I wish I could've been there for you."
"It's not your fault," I said, wiping my eyes. "I'm going to go back, though."
"What?"
"I'm going back to Asgard. I just don't think I can focus on school anymore. Besides, I don't have to pay to live there. I've just got too much on my mind to stay here." She looked heart broken, and it made me feel guilty. "But I'll come back and visit. I promise."
"Are you sure?" I nodded. "Okay, but you better keep your promise. Take some stuff with you, too." I took her hand.
"Thank you for understanding." I got up and packed a small bag of stuff to take back with me. I stepped out the door, and Elisa hugged me one more time.
"Make sure you come back, okay?"
"I will."

DROPPED: Decided to drop this one, I didn't properly think through a lot and as i started making chapters i found myself aiming for a word count and adding things or characters that i probably wouldn't use later, same with the system, i awas making it convoluted. Sorry! Transported to another world? Maybe to defeat the demon king or defeat a evil god! However for our protagonist he wasn't quite as lucky, working day in day out to pay off the debt his parents left him only to go home and get transported to another world where he is attacked by a unknown creature. Hello! This is my first time writing a story and i most likely won't do the best job at doing so. Some constructive feedback and tips would be fantastic.
