《Broken- Kolena》Chapter 11

Evie was sitting with Hope in the compound all the triplets had separated. Although they were triplets that didn't mean that they always had to be together and all times.
"I'm about to go to the quarter do you want to come?" She knew that Evie and Liv had both liked the tour of the city. She knew that this was all a lot for her cousin, and she was trying her best to keep her as distracted as possible. She knew that she didn't know about what had happened to Davina.
"Nah i think that i seen enough for today." She knew that she should love to go around but she had to much on her mind right now. As soon as she got their she hadn't even really gotten to see her father. Although she knew exactly which one he had been. But that wasn't the point she wondered what it was going to be like the first time she met him.
"Alright well I'll see you later." She knew what Evie was trying to say that she just wanted to be left alone with her thoughts she really couldn't say much on that. She knew the feeling all to well.
"Ok." She was happy that Hope was going to leave her be she had spent enough time with her cousin to last a lifetime. And it wasn't like the two didn't know each other they grew up together the triplets knew there cousin better than anyone. "Do you think if i look around someone will get mad?"
"Not really." Hope got up grabbing her jacket and walking out she didn't see anyone getting mad at her for exploring. Especially not in this family she knew that she did it all the time and no one ever had anything to say about it.
Evie stood up walking around no one was their everyone was out. She knew that someone was eventually going to come back but she wasn't sure who it was going to be.

She walked around seeing the different things she wasn't surprised when she walked in the parlor knowing that they were vampires so that meant that their tolerance was well above average.
"Evie." Kol had figured that it would be best to talk to them in order starting with Evie.
She turned towards her dad she was surprised to see him and had imagined the first time that she met him differently. And more of her going to find him and not the other way around. She had wanted to be prepared for the first time that she met him. "Hi, why are you here?"
"Blunt." He wasn't really surprised she had every reason not to like him. He hadn't really proved that he deserved to be their father.
"Very don't you have a wife that tired to kill me when i was born." She wasn't exactly sure if he was aware of that or not but she didn't care. She wasn't prepared to meet him so she had to stand her ground.
"I had no clue about that." He didn't know until recently that she had tried to do that although he knew that if she found out about them that she would do her best to make sure that they died and that it was not drawn back to her.
"Had now you do?" She could already feel her eyes betraying her filling up with water that she dared not let spill. She refused to show her vulnerability in front of him.
"I want to get to know all three of you." He knew that he ruined everything when he had decided to believe his fears rather than the girl that he had always loved. And if he could take it back truly he would but he couldn't. "I know that i haven't been there and i should have been."
She was trying her best to hold back her tears it was clear why he was here he wanted to make amends for his actions. But she wasn't sure if she could forgive him she wanted to but after hearing how he treated her mother she couldn't betray her like that. She was a bitch but she wouldn't do that to her own mother the women that raised her against all odds. "Yeah you haven't we needed a father growing up but you weren't there because you didn't believe her she had no reason to lie to you. I get my trust issues i understood the not wanting to be hurt. But she had no reason to lie. She told you the truth and you made her leave."

"I realized my mistake 5 years after she left." He realized that he had let his fear get the best of him and made the worst mistake of his life. One that he might never get the chance to come back from. He knew that he should have believe her when she told him she was pregnant. He knew that it wasn't possible for it to be someone else when she was always with him or at their house. And he knew that she was never that type of girl she would never have done that but his fear of betrayal had gotten the best of him.
"If you knew that you were wrong, why didn't you come and find us. Why didn't you bring us here? Why did we have to grow up with a distant mother." She loved her mother more than anything, but it was no secret she acted the way that she did because she didn't have a father in her life. She hated growing up with a mother that was distant even when she didn't want to be. She hated the fact that all the other kids had two parents and she only had her mother. "Every time she looked at us all she saw was you. I'm the worst one because i act exactly like you. I am the defiant child that did whatever i could to get attention. I did everything that i did with hope that one day you would show up. Where were you when i needed a father. Where were you when any of us needed a father."
"I know that I should have did more than just hid in the shadows but i didn't know what to do." More like he didn't know how he was supposed to not after everything had went down.
"Hid in the shadows?" She was confused by what he meant by that she was under the impression that this was the first time he was ever seeing them.
"I have been watching over you guys since you were four." He knew that it was something Elena had probably not told them figuring if he didn't want to approach then the kids didn't need to know.
She turned around wiping the tears that had started to fall the moment that he had said it. "You're here for good this time?" She didn't want to betray her mom by forgiving her father, but she really wanted to. Especially hearing that he had been in fact watching over them.
"I'm not going anywhere." If this turned out the way that he hoped he would never leave any of them again. And he would work to get the relationship him and Elena once had. But this time it would be better. "I already talked to your mom she told me it was up to you three."
She turned back towards her father she knew that her face was red, and tear stained but at the moment she couldn't bring herself to care. "You promise."
"I'm not going anywhere Evie." He promised he would never leave his kids again he would always be there from now on.
She flashed to him hugging him never wanting to let go of her father.
He hugged her back finally getting to hold his daughter.
