CHAPTER NINE
seungcheol heaved a large sigh before unlocking his door, work was a rush today and jeonghan did not leave his mind since the early afternoon they had spent together.
he unlocked his door, ready to discard most of his clothing and jump into his bed and curl under the warm blanket. and let his body rest.
but, as soon as he opened the door, the lights flicked on and the end of seungcheol's jaw was met with a soft, but strong fist.
"OW WHAT THE FUCK JISOO?" he did not see the person standing in front of him so clearly, and assumed it was his roommate.
his hand flew to the pained area, when he pulled away his hand was covered with small bits of blood. when he looked up, standing in front of him was a very heated seungkwan.
"seungkwan?"
"awe come on now," jihoon was standing in front of seungkwan, holding him back from throwing another punch.
"let me hit his ass one more time," seungkwan's fists were balled as he tried to push past his shorter friend, who was pretty strong.
seungcheol looked at the two of his friend, he knew seungkwan had told jihoon about today.
"it isn't even what you think you asshole," seungcheol wiped the fresh blood with the sleeve of his sweater. "can you please just let me explain."
seungcheol clenched his teeth together, his heart beating quick and his mouth was dry. he did not even want to look them in the eye, let alone speak about jeonghan.
because he really had become precious to him.
"what that you're a cheating fuck, I swear on my mom I'm gonna fucking murder you," seungkwan was too hot headed to listen to seungcheol.
his statement felt like a bullet straight through his heart, he did not really think of it that way. but suddenly shame washed through his whole body and he did not even want to look at the two in the face.

"it isn't. fucking. like. that," he gritted through his beautiful white teeth, "I care about him."
"what about her?" jihoon questioned, still in between the two boys.
"fuck that two faced crazy bitch! what about jeonghan, he's too fragile for this," seungkwan exclaimed.
seungcheol felt his gut fall. he had pushed her so far out of his mind, he almost completely forgot about her. but he forgot, they did not forget.
and seungkwan's words were nothing but truth, if jeonghan knew he would never trust seungcheol.
without realizing it, tears were starting to weld in his eyes. the pain was still present, and once on slid down his cheek and onto the dry blood that is when the other two shared a confused look.
"cheol," jihoon walked closer to his taller friend and placed his hand on his shoulder. he pushed his hand off of him while biting the inside of his lips.
"how long have you guys known me? since grade school and you know I'd never do what you're all fucking accusing me of!" he swallowed harshly, his brain aching from all the thoughts running though it.
he went and sat on the couch, gesturing for them to take a seat. seungkwan still heated about the whole thing and jihoon a little more optimistic now, they each took a seat in front of their friend.
seungcheol began to explain the situation to them, that the girl the boys had hated for so long, he was finally over her. seungcheol did love her, at one point, until she kept constantly hurting him.
the first time he caught her, he did not know what to do, she told him that the other came onto her. he forgave and he kept forgiving her from then on because she told him that she would be the only one who would ever really love him.

she was his first everything, and he did not know if he would be able to find someone else. although she hurt him, he dealt with it by using her as well, as a cover.
until he met jeonghan, then everything changed. he wanted to be in public with him, he wanted to love him, and he wanted to make him see all the good about himself.
"but you haven't broken up with her," jihoon stated. "don't you think it'd be wiser to that?"
"I was going too, I really was, but I just forgot, after spending so much time with him, and so much time away from her it spaced me," he said.
seungkwan soon felt bad for hitting him, "sorry about your face," the light haired boy stood up. "but I still think you should tell jeonghan, he deserves to know. I don't wanna see him hurt again."
"mm mm," seungcheol shook his head. "I'm gonna just tell her, and not tell jeonghan, I'm barely earning his trust now and I don't wanna ruin that."
"just don't hurt him, last time he was a wreck," seungkwan scolded while they headed for the door.
meanwhile, soonyoung was on the other side with half of his face pressed against the door. he had heard every single word they spoke.

Instead, she curses him with cowardice, limiting his combat and magical potential. Little does the goddess know that nothing can stand in the way of Perry's sheer will. If brute strength and arcane might won't get him the justice he desires, wit and creativity will. Perry's first target? A goblin shaman. Then, the world. And so begins, the bard's ballad. Trickster's Tale (Book 1): Is That A Lute In Your Pocket will release on Kindle Unlimited on the 10th of May.Due to KU's exclusivity rules, I've had to take most of book 1 down.Book 1 Bard's Ballad takes place in the same extended Universe as my other story, The Houndsman. It's set on a distant 'disk', though. As a result, the magic system is unique in comparison and has a harder LitRPG system. While the story utilises stats, it doesn't take them seriously and occasionally makes fun of regular LitRPG mechanics.

Bon Week-end
He runs the underground. She’s made it her playground. Their time together--the stuff of pulp fiction. When a corrupt corporate conspiracy threatens to tear them apart, they blast back with their offbeat brand of crime and chaos. This story is just one from the pulps. Film critic Roger Ebert once described them as ‘cheap, disposable entertainment that you could take to work with you, and roll up and stick in your back pocket.’ So do just that--and read it on the weekend. Bon Week-end is a novel written in the tradition of Jean-Patrick Manchette’s neo-polar, existing now as what shall be known as the neo-serial. This is Nippoten’s second serial following the superhero epic Entirely Presenting You. This novel will have a rather unique release schedule compared to others.
