After I and Sean leave the restaurant, we both head on back to his place. From the way Sean was holding the steering wheel, I knew he was not thrilled over what had happened. Who was that Paisley girl? She and Sean have to be close to one another, right? Should I ask him? I don't want to make him upset. Sean did say he's never dated so she can't be an ex of his. The only thing I can think of is that she's a friend of his. Back at the mansion, all the lights were out. Everyone must be asleep by now or someplace else. Inside Sean lead's me up to his bedroom and shuts the door behind him before laying back on his king-size bed. I could hear him growling lowly. I slowly walk towards him sitting on the bed next to him placing my hand on his cheek rubbing it gently. His gaze softens looking at me it's as if I can understand what he's feeling. This mate thing is kind of scary and cool at the same time.

"I'm sorry you had to see that Serenity."

"Hey, it's all good. But I have to ask who is that girl to you?"

Not going to beat around the bush and just think he'll tell me. If I want answers, I'll ask for them any chance I get. Does that make me a bad person?

"That girl's name is Paisley is a member of the Dark Moon pack and she's a good friend of mine since I was in high school. Her father and my father are good friends."

So, I was right on them just being friends. However, I can see being friends doesn't sit well with her.

"It looked to me that she has feelings for you."

Sean sat up from his position rubbing his temple.

"The day she told me she was in love with me I rejected her feelings on the spot because the only one who can be at my side is you, my mate."

A blushed formed on my face making my heart suddenly beat fast from his words. I have never felt this feeling before. No words can describe just how much I'm falling for this man. I've only known him for a couple day's and I'm already head over heels. I don't want to rush anything in this, but I know one thing for sure. I do want to be with him.

"Dose Paisley not have a mate of her own?" She's a werewolf so she should have a mate.

"I'm not sure if she's found her mate yet. I'm looking forward to that day so she could finally get over me."

My poor Sean, he has it rough with all this craziness that goes on. This will take some time to get used to it.

"Speaking of mate's Serenity, David invited me and hopefully if you agree to go with him visiting his mate's grave."

Oh my god. I had no idea about David's mate past away. I feel so sorry for him.

"I would be honored to go. How long has it been since his mate's death?"

"About a hundred years," Sean said with a straight face.

Hundred years!? That's so flipping long ago that it's insane. Right. I forgot that David is a vampire and vampires live for a very long time. So, David has been living with the pain of losing his mate for over a hundred years. Talk about deep sorrow that I don't think I'll ever understand. I rubbed my eyes feeling sleep wanting to take over.

"Time for sleep my love. We'll talk more in the morning."

Sean is right. I get up from the bed to head back to the guest room till Sean stopped me pulling me back to the bed.

"Stay here tonight. Don't worry I won't do anything. I just want you by my side tonight."

Well, I guess staying the night here won't kill me or anything. Also, a part of me does want to sleep with him.

"Okay. Though what will I wear? My pj's are in the guest room."

I watched Sean undress and him now just in his boxers! Dear Lord, please have mercy on my soul his body is so well-toned! I want to run my hands down his eight pack! Looking further down he has a nice v-line that leads to...Oh shit! Eyes back up girl! Turning around fast I had to stop looking or I'll be the one to attack him. Sean's laughter filled the room knowing he saw me checking him out.

"You can look all you want to love. This body is only for you." Sean said walking over to me undress me slowly. I didn't mind for his touch felt good. Once undressed Sean leads me to the bed wrapping the covers over us. His strong arms held me close while I lay my head on his chest listening to the sound of his heartbeat slowly putting me to sleep. The last thing I remember is Sean kissing my forehead telling me sweet dreams. Now, this is the kind of love I been always dreaming of having.

With the morning rolling in I slowly open my eyes to see Sean already awake looking at me lovingly. How long has he been up?

"Morning sleeping beauty."

I giggled. "Morning my handsome beast. How long have you been up?"

"Not too long really. Just about five minutes ago." He said taking a lock of my hair twirling it around his finger.

Slowly leaning up getting close to Sean's face leaning in to give him a good morning kiss. The kiss was sweet until his arms wrapped around my waist as the kiss becomes heated. A soft moan escapes my lips only turning Sean on even more from the sexy growl. He bites my bottom lip causing me to gasp as his tongue slips into my mouth. Our tongues battled each other for dominance until I was easily defeated. Who cares if I'm moving too fast my body is screaming for him to take me at this very moment. Though with cruel luck this moment was hopelessly interrupted by a certain best friend who has no chill in barging in other people's rooms. Sean growled annoyed as I calmed him down.

"Sorry to interrupt your little love session here, but Serenity we have been called into work. It's bad." Melody said, her tone was very serious to the point I knew something bad had happened.

"What just happen?" I asked getting out of bed while Melody hands me my work clothes.

"I'll let you know when your done getting dressed so hurry." Was all Melody said before leaving the room in a rush. I have a bad feeling about this. What could have happened at work?

Not long after Melody left, I was already dressed and so was Sean. We both head on down to the dining room were Melody was with Darren and David.

"All right Melody what happen?"

"I just got a call from our boss saying that a truck shipping farm horses to a brand-new barn crashed. Many of the horses there are badly injured."

Hearing the part about badly injured horses set me into overdrive. If it's one thing I can't stand it's an injured animal in need!

"What are we waiting for let's go!" I said grabbing Melody by the arm practically picking her up as I head straight for the door!

"Hold on! Melody's car is still back at the hotel. Let Sean drive you, ladies, there." Darren pointed out.

Damn it. He's right.

"I want to come too!" David jumped acting like a five-year-old kid wanting to go to the park. I believe in bat form that would have been just adorable.

"Now hold on here. This is not a joy ride we are going to be dealing with injured animals. If you're going to come when you're going to help out. Is that clear?"

"Yes, ma'am!" David saluted.

"I was right. You will make a great Luna my love."

With a kiss on the cheek, Sean leads everyone out to the car. Looks like Darren is coming along too. If I had to guess it's to make sure Melody will have help. Hell, I'm happy Sean's coming along too. With more help, things will get done faster. I'm also pretty sure that there will be lots of lifting so having the guys come along may not be a bad idea.

Along the way, Melody kept teasing me and Sean about how much we make a cute couple and that our wedding will be one to remember. This girl is enjoying my embarrassment way too much to the point I fire back at her with David coming to help out. All Sean and David did were just laugh out our silliness while not getting into mine and Melody's teasing. Once we made it to the crash site all I could see was the crash truck and some of the horses laying on the ground. One of the young horses seems to have a broken leg.

I rushed out of the car with Melody following behind. Our boss was already here giving orders to the other workers.

"Sorry, for being delay boss!" Melody shouted.

"It's all right just get to work fast. We managed to get all of the horses but one out of the truck. The poor little foal is scared to come on out."

"What the heck is a foal?" David asked.

"A foal is a term used for a baby horse," I said walking over to the truck seeing the poor foal acting very shaken from the event that just happened.

"Who are you, people?" Our boss asked looking at Sean, Darren, and David.

"This is Darren, my boyfriend. Sean who is Serenity's new boyfriend and David our friend. They came with us to help out with any heavy lifting that may be needed until the animal paramedics come by to take the horses to the vet hospital."

Hearing Melody sound all professional like really surprised Darren. There is more to Melody that he will soon be seeing. While everyone else deals with the other horses I had to do my best in getting this little foal tamed. Won't be as easy as I think since every step, I make getting closer it would startle him. What should I do?

A gentle hand on my shoulder snaps me out of thinking when I turn my head to see Sean looking at the foal with his intense electric blue eyes.

"Come here. No one will hurt you." Was all Sean said holding out his arm to the foal. To my amazement, the little foal listened walking towards us slowly till his muzzle touched Sean's hand. How did he do that?

"How did you get him to come over?"

"I used my alpha command on him. Using it means no one can defy my orders, not even animals."

Lucky. I wish I had a power like that. Now I'm really glad Sean came along. If he hadn't It would have taken me longer. We both lead the foal out of the truck slowly. I noticed that his right back leg was injured and needed to be treated right away. The wound needed to be stitched up however I didn't have my medical kit with me. All I could do for now is to stop the bleeding and wrap it up till we get to the hospital.

"Serenity! Were all set over here!" Melody called out.

In about five minutes the vet ambulance arrived taking all the horses to the hospital. I and Melody had to go with everyone to help tend to the horses. Sean had to head back to work because something came up. Darren and David had to leave as well to take care of some business.

"Call me when everything is all good. I'll pick you up." Sean said giving me a sweet kiss on the lips before taking off. I even saw Darren give Melody a quick kiss. My time to tease her. Both Melody and I saw some sadness in David's eyes so we both ran over and gave David a big hug making Darren and Sean growl with jealousy. Jeez, what drama kings they are.
