《Obsession, Madness & Love (#6)》Chapter 7 | Officially Mine

seriously hates me.
I was going to kiss her, there was no way I was going to miss such an opportunity.
But she looked so terrified and disgusted that I kissed her forehead instead.
Fuck. Dad was right. I should have been nicer to her.
I agree I should blame myself for this but I felt so hurt seeing that expression on her face that I didn't talk to her anymore.
We had a small reception where we had dinner, cut a small cake (just for the sake of it) and by the time everything ended, it was ten at night already.
I didn't want the wedding to take place in the afternoon like it usually does instead it was late in the evening.
A car was waiting for us as I lead her outside with my palm resting on her lower back.
When she saw the car, she paused. "I didn't know you even have a car. I thought you would be driving your bike even tonight." Her tone was playful and she was trying to lessen the tension between us.
I spoke dryly without looking at her, "I have more cars than you can ever imagine."
She hummed in response became silent as I opened the car door for her and she slid inside and I sat beside her.
The privacy screen between the driver and us was up. And leaned back and sighed softly.
"Do you have a gym at your house?" She asked after a minute.
I kept staring out of the window. "Hmm."
"And a pool?"
"Hmm."
Realising I was not in a mood to talk to her, she stopped asking anymore questions.
I pulled out my phone and started to scroll through it and posted the picture of me and Althea of the wedding on Instagram.
It was a simple picture of us just standing beside each other, our fingers intertwined together and her head resting on my bicep.
"Calix?" She called.
"Hmm?"
"Stop giving me this silent treatment!" And then she said in a soft tone, "Please."
I turned off my phone and looked at her, an angry pout on her lips.
"I am not giving you a silent treatment." I spoke.
"Yes, you are. You are not talking to me." She pointed out.
I raised a brow. "I thought you didn't like talking to me."
She pursed her lips. "Don't be ridiculous. If we are going to stay married for the next six months then we need to talk, okay? Or else I will go insane."
My eyes flickered down to her lips where there was some frosting of the cake on the corner of her mouth. She had grabbed one last piece of the cake when we were coming out.
I leaned forward and very gently wiped the frosting from the corner of her lips and then sucked it off my thumb.
Her eyes zeroed on my lips as I sucked my thumb and much to my surprise, a blush crawled up her neck.

When she saw the amused expression on my face, her jaw clenched and she looked away. "Don't do that again."
"What?"
She started to fiddle with her fingers. "You could have told me that I had something on my mouth, you didn't have to do it yourself."
"Why?"
Her head snapped to me. "Because I said so. Now, shut up."
"You only asked me to talk."
She gritted her teeth. "Yes, because you were angry with me but now you are not so you can shut up."
"I guess then I will stay angry until..." I trailed off.
"Until what?"
I shifted closer to her and she eyed me suspiciously. "Until you give me a kiss." And I extended my cheek towards her.
"Do you want a slap instead?"
I chuckled remembering how she said a similar thing when I asked her to kiss my cheek for the first time, years back. "I am waiting, Al."
She sighed and eventually pressed her lips to my cheek and I did a mental victory dance. I was feeling better already.
She pulled back immediately and cleared her throat and I grinned. "Thank you, Mrs Andrews."
Her eyes narrowed. "Don't call me that. I am not changing my surname."
"I don't care. For me, you will be Mrs Andrews. You are officially mine now."
She groaned and threw her head back. "I have been saying this for years and I will say it again. I am not yours. Get that inside your head, idiot."
"That's where you are wrong, baby." And I whispered huskily in her ears, "You have been mine since the moment I held you in my arms."
She placed her palm on my chest and pushed me away. "You were just three then. I am not yours."
I took her hand in mine and rubbed circles on the inside of her wrist. "We will see."
.
.
.
"Don't you think it's a bit extra?" She said pointing to the small pond right infront of my house and a marbled path leading up to the front door.
"Nope." I answered and I scooped her up in my arms making her yelp, her one arm automatically going around my neck to support herself.
"What the hell are you doing?!"
"Carrying my wife inside our house."
She slapped my shoulder. "You don't need to, I can walk perfectly well."
I ignored her protests and carried her inside the house and all the way up to my, no our bedroom. It was our bedroom now.
Once inside the bedroom, I set her down on her feet and point to the walk in closet. "Your clothes and everything else is already here."
"And where is your room?" She asked completely unaware that we are sharing a room.
I smirked. "This is my room, baby which now is our room."
"What?" She took a step back as her eyes widened. "I am not sharing a fucking room with you!"

"Yes, you are. That way I can keep you safe."
"I don't see how that makes sense."
"It doesn't have to. You are my wife now and you will share a room with me. End of conversation."
I proceed to shrug out of my suit jacket and placed it on the armchair in the corner of the room and started to unbotton my shirt.
She kept standing there on the door looking around the room as if looking for some threat.
"This is the only room available, Althea. I have locked all the other rooms and hid the keys so you can't sleep anywhere else." I told her.
She was about to argue but at the same time I slid off my shirt leaving my torso bare and her mouth remained opened but no sound came out.
I fought the urge to flex my muscles and bit down on my lips to stop myself from smirking.
Her eyes trailed down slowly from my face to my chest and my abs before they trailed upwards again and I loved the way her cheeks flushed.
"I am all yours now, baby. You can enjoy as long as you want." I teased her making her snap out of the haze.
And her eyes narrowed at me while her cheeks turned red. "Shut up! I was...I wasn't..."
I chuckled loudly at her reaction which made her blush harder so I gave her a break and went inside the bathroom, whistling to myself.
The way her eyes trailed all over my body made me take a cold shower, an extremely cold one.
After drying myself with a towel, I pulled on a pair of grey sweatpants and walked out and saw her taking out the number of pins from her hair, standing infront of the mirror.
I stood behind her as her eyes met mine in the mirror and she paused. "Need help?"
She shook her head. "I can do it, myself." And when she realised I was shirtless, she added, "And wear something."
"I sleep like this only, Al."
She rolled her eyes. "There's no point arguing with you." And she proceeded to pull out the pins from her bun but she was clearly failing at that.
I grabbed her arms and pulled them down and then bending down, I pulled out a small stool from under the dressing table and gestured her to sit.
She complied and sighing, sat down on the stool and I started to pull out all those pins.
I worked silently and a few minutes later finall, all the pins were out and her bun loosened and she sighed softly and I opened the bun letting her hair fall over her shoulder.
I picked up a hair brush and started to gently brush her hair. Her hand shot up and grabbed my wrist. "You don't have to do that."
"Shh..." And I continued brushing her hair.
My eyes were focused on her hair but she kept watching me curiously as I untangled her hair.
After I was done, I put down the brush and started to tie her hair in a loose braid and took out a scrunchie that was lying in the drawers.
"Why do you have a scrunchie in your drawer?" She questioned.
"Maria forgot it the last time she was here." I tied her hair and stepped back.
"Oh...um...thanks."
I kissed the top of her head. "You are welcome, wife."
If she didn't like it she didn't say anything, she just got up and nodding went inside the bathroom.
Later when she was done changing into a comfortable pair of pyjamas she stood near the bed unsure.
"C'mon, Al. It's not a big deal." I stood on the other side of the bed.
She folded her arms across her chest. "It is a big deal to me. I am not sharing a bed with you."
"Would you rather sleep on the floor?"
"Aargh! Just let me sleep in a separate room!" She whined.
"Not happening. You will share a bed with me." And I decided to add, "And I am not going to touch you inappropriately if that's what you are worried about." I hope that's not what she is worried about because by now she must know that I am not going to fucking sexual harrass her. Ever.
"That's not what I meant!" She rolled her eyes and exhaled loudly before finally, giving up and getting on the bed sliding under the covers with her back to me.
Thank God.
I did the same and laid on my back, staring up at the ceiling with not a trace of sleep.
When I couldn't sleep for another ten minutes, I poked Althea's back.
"What?" She groaned.
"I can't sleep."
"So?"
"Sing me a lullaby."
"What are you? A kid? Try to sleep and don't trouble me."
"You are so rude." I whispered sadly in a dramatic way. "Can't even sing me a lullaby."
She turned around and gave me a stern look. "Seriously? A lullaby? You are twenty eight!"
I propped myself with the support of my elbow. "So?"
"Did you ever got yourself checked? Did the doctor ever tell you that you have a problem with your brain?"
My lips twitched even though I narrowed my eyes at her.
Before she could turn her back to me, I shifted closer and grabbing her hand, I placed her palm over my heart and closed my eyes.
"What the hell, Calix?"
"I am sleeping."
"But--"
"Sleeping, Althea." And I started to snore in a fake way.
I'm afraid she would feel how fast my heart is beating but at the same time, her touch comforted me and I felt myself slipping into a sleepy state.
And she removed her hand from my chest, so, without saying anything I shifted even more closer and rested my head on her shoulder.
I didn't remember what happened next as I fell asleep soon, breathing her comforting scent.
