Hey everyone👋
As you're reading, you might start thinking noooo I hate spoilers!
Don't worry, I've got you. You're still good to go because majority of what's written down there 👇👇👇 is not exactly what you think.
Still, you can skip this chapter as a whole.
SUMMARY: Deven sees a lot of weird stuff during the vision and things becomes a bit real.
You're welcome.😂
The vision,
I opened my eyes slowly. The first thing I noticed was that the ceiling was different. Instead of the wooden ceiling of the coven leaders house, I was staring at a domed ceiling similar to the one in my room but not quite the same.
Then I realized I was lying on a bed. I tried to sit and found out that my wrists were encased in metal cuffs and I was shackled to the bed ...and very naked.
I felt panic begin to seep in ...and then something else. A light fluttering kiss on my thigh. The kisses moved upwards and soon a mane of black hair came into view. Rhydian. He stopped with the teasing kisses and instead knelt over me, boring his eyes into mine.
Was this what the future held for us? If so, yes!
He turned my face to the side, baring my neck. Then, he leaned closer.
" Mine." He whispered as his fangs pushed out. " All fucking mine."
Then, he sank his fangs into my neck to mark me and I screamed out in pain. The pain ...it was unbearable. I couldn't take it and I twisted underneath him unable to push him away because of the shackles. He didn't pull away instead, he sank his fangs in even deeper drawing blood.
" Stop!" I pleaded, spurting blood from my mouth.
The pain was suddenly gone and so was Rhydian. I sat up. I wasn't shackled to the bed anymore but I was still naked. There was no bruise on my neck. I wasn't even in the room anymore. I was surrounded by darkness.
Someone behind me pulled my hair away and nuzzled my neck.
Rhydian.
I turned to face him and my eyes widened in shock. It wasn't Rhydian. It was ...Carrison Gray, Rhydians beta. But I didn't care. I felt a strong need for him. I pulled him quickly into my arms and we kissed, hard and passionate.

I needed this. I needed him and no one else. He returned my kiss, muttering beautiful against my lips. He plunged himself into me and I arched my back, meeting his thrusts.
We rolled over in each others embrace and then ...he was gone. I stared into the darkness startled.
What. The fuck. Was that?!
I wasn't naked anymore, thank goodness. I got up quickly and looked around. I heard a whimper and turned sharply in its direction. More light diffused in and I screamed at the sight of a bloody hand.
Someone came into view crawling on his belly because his bones were all broken. Some jutted out painfully from bloody wounds on his flesh. His clothes were ragged and he was covered in blood.
It was Cayden.
" Cayden!" I screamed, tearing up at the sight of him. He said nothing and continued to crawl desperately, using his arms for leverage. I tried to go to him but I was rooted to the spot. I strained against the invisible hold on me to no avail.
Rhydian came into view, his eyes trained on Cayden. The hate in them was evident and made my gut wrench. My blood ran cold when I realized his intent.
Caydens eyes were on me now, full of pain and fear.
" You should have just let me go." He choked out as Rhydian moved towards him.
" Rhydian!" I begged. " Rhydian please."
Without a glance at me, Rhydian raised his booted leg and brought it down on Caydens head, crushing his skull.
I screamed as Rhydian and Caydens lifeless and mangled body faded from view.
I feel to my knees, able to move again. I was shaking horribly, sobbing into my palms. I kept seeing that moment when Caydens head was reduced to a mess of blood and bones.
Not Cayden, please not him.
" Stand up!" An authoritative voice said and I scrambled to my feet still shaking. It was the Dowager Luna. She stood eyeing me for a second then, she shook her head dismissively. " Not good enough."
Someone barked out laughter beside her. It was Quinn.
" You will never be Queen Luna, slave." Her smile was filled with hate as they began to fade away. " I alone will please the master."

I expected Juneau or Niylah to show up and add to my misery but I remained alone.
Quickly, the scenes changed and I felt disoriented. I was in a forest now. A heavy red mist hung around, clouding my vision.
" Devenity." Someone whispered.
I knew that voice.
" Mother!" I screamed but the forest faded away again and I was left feeling scared and even more disoriented.
Nothing happened for a few seconds but I felt a strange feeling, like I was being watched.
Suddenly, my head was yanked back by my hair.
" You just wait." A male voice whispered. It was vaguely familiar but I couldn't place where I'd heard it, especially because he had wrapped his hand around my hair and was still pulling it ...and it hurt. This was supposed to be a vision but I was feeling so much pain.
" Very soon, I'll make you scream my name, over and over again." He laughed, a blood chilling laugh. " Very soon, I'll make you my mate." He promised.
The hold on my hair disappeared. When I turned, he was gone.
" Mother Diana?" I called out hoping she could somehow hear me. " I want to come back." I wasn't eager to see what would come next.
Something small and white fell to the ground slowly. I watched it. It was snow. The scene changed and I wrapped my hands around myself shivering in the cold.
I was in a forest. The trees were heavily laden in snow and more came down accompanied by a chilling wind. My feet sank into the snow filled ground and I struggled to move.
" What sorcery is this?" Someone asked.
A few feet away, a man stood looking at me warily. His skin was so pale that it blended in with his surroundings perfectly. His hair was a bright auburn, his eyes, a vibrant red.
A vampire.
I shrank back at the sight of him. There were no vampires in the West. Where in the world was I?
Suddenly, he was standing right infront of me and I screamed more in surprise than in fear.
" Why did you summon me?" He demanded, baring his fangs. I didn't dare move.
" I didn't." I managed to say.
" I can smell him on you." He said. " You ... you've been with him. Who are you?." He asked.
Wasn't this a vision anymore?
" Speak!" He roared and I fell back, sinking deeper in the snow as my clothes became soaked.
The ground began to shake, several trees were released of their snow burdens. The blare of a horn rented the air. I froze. That horn ...I'd heard it before. The Aradian war horn.
The vampires turned in the direction of the sounds, moving so quickly that he was out of view in a matter of seconds.
I followed quickly, trying to ignore the numbing cold, telling myself all this wasn't real.
I stumbled into a clearing and my jaw dropped. The greater part of the forest had been reduced to a war zone.
I watched as armies of the beings of the west clashed with those of the east in the age long dance of war.
Good goddess.
A pair of angry green eyes watched us from the war zone.
Rhydian.
The vampire snarled at the sight of him and took a step in his direction and the scene faded once again.
I found myself in a cell.
Not again.
I rushed to the bars, feeling panic grow in my chest. I couldn't stay in a cell again even if it was just a vision.
" Deven." Someone coughed out. It was Rhydian but he sounded nothing like himself.
He was in the cell with me, shackled to the wall. His skin was pale like he'd lost a lot of blood and there were bite marks all over his chest.
" Rhydian." I whispered, rushing to his side.
" Deven." His words were slurred and his eyes, unfocused. " Deven please..."
But I couldn't ignore the blood lust. I was hungry. So very hungry. I leaned closer to him ...and sank my fangs into his neck.
