Rebekah sits at the piano, lazily playing a scattering of notes. Klaus enters and she sits up as Raven kicks off her heels with a sigh.
"Well, tonight was an epic failure," Rebekah says.
"On the contrary, sister. Tonight was a masterpiece" Klaus says.
"Are you mad? Katie died before Sophie could complete the spell" Rebekah says.
"Oh, I'm well aware. I killed Katie" Klaus says smugly and Rebekah's head snaps up.
"You what?"
"There's no way our little suicide witch wasn't gonna try and take out Marcel with her. I saved his life, and in doing so, I now have him exactly where I want him" Klaus says.
"Sophie trusted you. I trusted you! Against all my better instincts" Rebekah says.
"Wake up, Rebekah-- the witches are on no one's side but their own" Klaus says. "This girl, Davina? That's all they want, and when they have her, what do you think happens then a truce? Of course not. They will use Davina's power against all of us. Including you"
"Even if you're right, the plan was to find Elijah, and you've failed us," Rebekah says.
"You always did lack faith. By protecting Marcel, I've cemented his trust, so much so that he's agreed to return Elijah to us. And when the time is right, when he has told me everything I need to know about Davina, I will have her for myself"
"I have all the faith in the world that you'll get what you want, Nik. You always do, no matter what it costs the rest of us. You disgust me"
Rebekah takes a sip of bourbon, then sets her glass on the piano and leaves.
"You want to ask me something" Klaus muses, feeling Raven's curious eyes on him.
"Why do you do that?" Raven asks. "Do whatever you want, no matter the cost?"

"It's a learned behaviour," Klaus says. "I wasn't always like this"
"What were you like?"
"I was happy, carefree" Klaus says and Raven sits criss-cross on the couch as he tells her about his times as a human.
In the church attic, Marcel sits in front of Davina.
"Do you know someone called Raven?" Marcel asks. "Raven Stilinski?"
"She's my cousin," Davina says, showing him a picture. "She's the Shapeshifter"
"She's here in New Orleans," Marcel says. "With the Mikaelsons"
"She and my mother didn't get along," Davina says. "Especially when it came to the harvest"
Davina watches as her mother and Raven go back and forth. Raven had come to visit for the summer after defeating a Kanima.
"You are willing to risk your own daughter's life for what?"
"It is an honour to be chosen"
"You go and get your fucking throat slit open then"
"Davina will do this"
"You continue with this and you'll never see me again"
Raven stares at her new phone and dials Stiles' number.
"Hello?"
"Sti, it's me"
"Oh thank god, I thought you'd died"
"No I broke my phone dipshit," Raven says. "You remember Davina right?"
"Yeah, she was our cousin," Stiles says.
"She's still here I think," Raven says. "In New Orleans"
"Why don't you go and see her?"
"What if her heinous cunt of a mother is around?" Raven asks and Stiles snorts.
"Listen, Raven, I've got to go. Don't die"
"Make sure to keep the rest of your toes"
"You're a bitch"
Raven places her phone down on the bedside table before she begins to wipe off her makeup. She then tries to unzip her dress and huffs when she can't do it.
"Fucking thing" Raven sighs.

"Need some help?"
"Please"
Raven stands up as Klaus stands behind her and brushes her hair over her shoulder gently before unzipping her dress.
"Thanks," Raven says, pulling on one of Stiles' stolen sweaters and pulling her hair up, then she shimmies the dress down.
"What is Beacon Hills like?" Klaus asks.
"Well it's home," Raven says with a chuckle. "But it's definitely not somewhere for the faint of heart"
Raven looks at a picture of herself, Stiles and her mother.
"Is that her?" Klaus asks.
"Yeah," Raven asks. "This was before she fell ill"
Klaus takes the picture. In the picture was Raven dressed as Belle, a young boy who Klaus assumes is Stiles was dressed as someone from Star Wars and their mother was dressed as a power ranger.
"Did you love her when she died?" Klaus asks.
"Of course"
"I killed my mother," Klaus says and Raven looks at him. "She had an affair with a werewolf which is how I am the only hybrid. And then she cursed my werewolf side away. Took me a thousand years to break the curse, which is how I had no surprise pregnancies before now"
"From the sounds of it," Raven says. "If you weren't a vampire, you'd have to run your dick through a dishwasher"
"What?" Klaus asks.
"It means you've been through a lot of women," Raven says. "Possibly men too. I don't judge"
"No men," Klaus says.
"Okay," Raven says. "It means you'd be assumed to have STDs"
Klaus squints at the woman to see she was serious and shakes his head in amusement.

Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia
"Why are my hands getting warmer?" As far as Alicia was concerned, she was the daughter of a rich businessman attending high school. Then, she feels off and at the same time, she's not. One week later, her best friend brought her to another world(s). This is Alicia Bell's tale. 1st book written in the Wizards of the Otherworldly series. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a fantasy story about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and called themselves 'Court Wizards'. They are tasked to watch over the many worlds they come across and step into these worlds on 'missions' to preserve the balance, life, order, anything to make said worlds better places in the shadows but may reveal themselves if necessary. However, these missions may partially or even fully oppose their nature, personal interests, and ideals. Yet, most of the Court Wizards are aware and willing to complete even the worst missions that would shatter their true selves that they will never cast aside regardless, either growing or regressing because of it. Basically, it's isekai to multiple worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like Jojo. Crossposted with Wattpad, WordPress, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu.
