Phoenix looked out the passenger's car window as his sister drove, it was a long drive and quiet.

All three brothers sat in the back all quietly, nobody spoke to one another, it was just a quiet awkward atmosphere.

"It's been a long time since I saw mom... She got remarried a few years ago to a guy named Vincent. "Kenna glanced towards her little brother as they drove, his eyes widen.

"She's remarried?" The young male peered at his sister with such disbelief. "After all these years I thought mom would be... Figuring her life out. "

"Don't be small-minded. Mom wasn't happy with... Him. "Kenna mumbled the last part slowly, her eyes squinted slightly as a sign on the side of the road appeared. "We're here. "

All four males looked out the windows, seeing a massive building, almost castle-like, a large black gate blocking them off from the front yard.

Kenna rolled down her window and pressed a button, almost immediately the gate opened with a loud groan.

A chill made its way down Phoenix's back, he felt uneasy from this sudden visit, mostly to see his mother after 19 years.

They drove deeper into the property, Azure clenched his jaw as Kenna continued to drive, the males noticed a woman standing outside on the front porch.

A middle-aged woman with dark brown hair, tired bags under her eyes, and a small figure next to a larger man. Thin figure with a stern face, greyish eyes, and black slicked-back hair.

They both wore formal clothes as they patiently waited, Kenna climbed out of the car with her brother and the triplets in pursuit.

"Kenna, my beautiful daughter. You've grown so much I last saw you. "The woman walked down the stairs with a wide smile, her arms open wide to hug Kenna.

Phoenix watched standing next to the triplets, nervous with thousands of questions racing through his mind.

Why didn't she contact him after all these years?

Why does she want to meet up now?

"Mom, I hope you remember your little boy Phoenix. "His name caught his attention pulling him back into reality, the woman looked at Phoenix for a moment.

"My baby? You're all grown up." Ezlyn, Phoenix's mother pulled her son into a hug which surprised him, he froze in the hug just as his mother's scent engulfed him. Memories flashed before his eyes, although it was little.

"Mom. "Phoenix mumbled out in her embrace, he hugged back tightly, nuzzling his head into her hair.

The three brothers watched Phoenix closely although something felt off, they couldn't put her finger on it.

What now?

The man that was waiting on top of the staircase had made his way down, looming close to his wife as if protecting her from them.

Had he known that those three are werewolves? Or that they would bring trouble?

The man cleared his throat catching their attention, he gave a gentle smile towards Kenna and Phoenix, politely sticking his hand out to be shaken towards the triplets.

"I'm Vincent, Ezlyn's husband. And you must be?" The man now Vincent cocked his eyebrow up with a questioning tone.

Azure was first to shake Vincent's hand, using a bit too much of his strength. "I'm Azure. Phoenix's friend."

The second was Zander, glaring at the man. "I'm Zander, Phoenix's boyfriend. "

And last was Luka, the poor boy was confused. "I'm Luka. Phoenix's other boyfriend. "

They weren't ashamed of being in a poly relationship, they didn't care what society thought of them. They cared about one another and that's what most important.

Vincent glanced towards Phoenix and narrowed his brows. "A polyamory relationship. Quite interesting I'd have to say. "

The triplets all sneered in hate towards Vincent, something is off about this guy.

They all settled inside a living room area, a large spacious room with a lit fire nearby illuminating the room, Phoenix sat between the triplets feeling safe there.

There still was anger lingering around mostly by Phoenix, but he didn't understand why his mother never visited or took him with him.

Kenna sat with her mother and spoke while Vincent stared at the fire, obviously not listening to the conversation around him.

"Thanks for coming guys. "Phoenix mumbled softly towards the triplets so they could only hear him but another pair of ears was eavesdropping.

"No problem Phoenix, we're always here for you. "Zander kissed his mate's cheek, the younger male smiled softly.

"You can always count on me little bird. You're like a little brother to me... Less annoying than Luka. "Azure smirked as he mentioned the last part, Luka shot a glare towards Azure.

"Watch it, Azure. "Luka snarled towards his eldest brother.

"Hey Phoenix, it's getting late. Wanna head home?" Kenna intervened in their conversation, Phoenix nodded quickly towards his sister with a small smile.

"Why don't you stay for dinner? It would be a shame to cut this little get together short. " Vincent got up from his seat and walked towards the fire, the light shining on him, Azure glanced towards the man.

"Sorry, we would love to stay but we all do have things to do before tonight. Thank you for having us over Mrs. Ezyln. "Azure politely got up and the rest followed in pursuit.

"Oh it's no problem, Azure, you are welcome back anytime. "Ezlyn smiled brightly and hugged Phoenix and Kenna goodbye.

"I'll show them out, honey. "Vincent faced away from the fire and walked towards the front of the house, the little group followed. "Thank you for coming over. "His voice a little deep, his arm pressing against the door handle.

Azure watched the man closely, Zander behind his older brother as back up.

"Never come back here you disgusting dogs... Take your pet with you and bitch. "Vincent snapped lowly, his fangs appearing as he turned around facing the group.

Kenna gasped behind the boys and stood back, knocking over a vase of flowers, sending it to shatter on the marble floor.

It almost took three seconds for Vincent to attack Azure, but the eldest brother was pushed to safety.

Zander tumbled to the floor along with a vampire biting the werewolf shoulder, a loud agonizing shout escaped him.

"Zander!!" Phoenix cried out, Luka held him back. "No!"

"Stand back!" Azure growled deeply tackling the man off his brother, Azure held his hands tightly around Vincent's neck slamming him against the front door which opened.

The two went flying down the stairs, Luka watched his horror seeing this all unfold.

How could they have been so blind?!

"L-Luka... "A weak voice panted out, Zander laid on the floor with blood dripping off his shoulder, crimson blood stained the floors.

Both Phoenix and Luka rushed to his side, attempting to stop the blood, applying pressure to the wound.

"It's too deep! Fuck. "Luka cried out panicked, his eyes darting around helplessly.

"Zander, stay awake! Don't close your eyes love... Please don't. "Phoenix cried, his tears dripping down his face, his heartfelt weak, he couldn't do anything but cry. "Luka! To help Azure! Kenna and I will help Zander!"

"B-but-"

"No buts! Just go!"

Luka gave one last look at his brother before running to help Azure, Zander panted out in pain, his body heating up.

"Should I call an ambulance?" Kenna swiftly pulled her phone out, Phoenix shook his head and told her to call someone else.

Ezlyn stood on top of the balcony, watching her vampire husband fight with the werewolf, a smirk playing on her lips.

"Quickly!"

"He's lost a lot of blood!"

"Clear away!"

Zander was carried by Azure, the Alphas eyes a bright gold color. His wolf was frightened by this, his brother was heavily injured.

Luka followed quickly after, along with Phoenix, Kenna stared at the people around, she was around werewolves for the first time.

"Alpha, please follow me. "A pack doctor appeared, slightly anxious under his leader's gaze.

Azure followed after the doctor, his steps echoing the hallway as he rushed to an empty room, his brother almost unconscious from blood loss.

"We need to operate on him immediately Alpha, please wait in the lobby while we operate. "

Azure wanted to protest but gave up and left to the lobby.

"I'm a shitty brother... I should've acted quicker, damnit!" Azure sat on a chair nearby in the lobby rubbing his forehead tiredly, the door opened with Melanie rushing inside.

"Azure! I heard what happened... Is he going to be okay?" She rushed over to Azure, hugging him, and gave one to Phoenix too.

"He's going into surgery now, all we can do is wait for the results.

Kenna sat next to Phoenix, gaping at Melanie. "You're gorgeous. "She said out by accident, Mel overheard and blushed lightly.

"W-why thank you. "

Azure growled loudly and pulled Mel onto his lap, glaring at Kenna, she got the idea and sheepishly apologized.

It was quiet in the pack hospital, Luka and Phoenix were quietly napping together, Azure pacing up and down, Kenna on her phone, and Melanie reading a magazine.

"Alpha... Can I please talk to you privately?" The pack doctor emerged from the surgery room and frowned slightly. Azure followed the doctor, clenching his jaw in worry.

"What is it, doctor? Will he be okay?"

"Im sorry Alpha... But your brother has entered a coma state... He lost a lot of blood and needs time to rest. We can't be sure when he'll wake up. "The doctor glanced towards his Alpha, Azure sighed loudly with a defeated look.

"Thank you, Michael... I appreciate your hard work. All we can do now is wait for Zander. "
