Phoenix sadly trudged his way behind his brother whose wife was going on about her yoga instructor.

The young male sighed heavily staring at his sneakers boredly. "I miss the twins. "

Desmond overheard. "I feel so bad for Phoenix. "

"Same here... Hopefully we can cheer him up. "Eira looked up towards his husband. "Maybe bringing him up on this hike wasn't a good idea. "

"Don't worry, we'll talk about our childhood stories, that will definitely cheer him up. " The older male glanced back only to frown. "Damn."

Meanwhile, the twins quietly drove back to the pack house that they left for 7 years.

"Zander?" Luka glanced at his brother who was driving.

"What is it, Luka?" The older twin questioned slightly annoyed.

"What if father punishes us for leaving the pack?" Luka twiddled his thumbs nervously.

"He can't punish us, we have the authority to take over his rank. We can just challenge him, and will instantly since there's two of us and one of him. "Zander sighed softly pulling off of the road and parked deep inside the forest.

The twins climbed out of the car and stripped their clothes off.

"This reminds me of something~" Luka smirked checking his brother out like he always did.

"Shut up horny dog. " Zander rolled his eyes before shifting into Kayde, he glanced over Luka who shortly shifted into Chris.

Chris signaled Kayde to walk on and they did, they made their way towards the pack house, racing each other there.

Phoenix sat by their cabin for the night, he stared at the fire inside the fire place.

"Phoenix, want something to eat?" Eira asked watching the younger male from where he was sitting.

"No thanks. I'm fine. " Phoenix responded tiredly.

"Don't be like that... I know it's hard to be away from them but don't worry about it. I'm sure your brother has a plan. "She sat next to him, smiling softly towards him.

"I miss my cat. "He mumbled to himself hugging his knees tightly before starting to cry.

"Phoenix... Don't cry. " Eira pulled him into a hug. "We're here for you. "

Desmond walked in staring at the two. "Poor Phoenix. "

Luka glared towards their father who continued to talk to himself about his sons leaving him.

"What do you want son?" Emmet growled loudly pacing up and down the lounge area.

"Can't we visit our father?" Luka asked quietly looking at the floor anxiously, his twin had left him to talk with someone.

"Luka... Why are you two here?" Howlan, their father glared at his youngest son.

"I told you already! We felt bad for leaving so we came back to visit you, father!" The younger male snapped.

"Don't raise your voice!" His father growled towards him, his dark green eyes darkening from annoyance.

Chris, Luka's wolf let a soft whimper out in distress, just in time Zander walked into the house growing loudly.

"Leave Luka alone, father... What would mother think of you?!" Zander glared towards their father, walking towards his brother protectively.

"Your mother would be disgusted in the both of you. You two are weak and don't deserve the title Alpha!"

"Neither do you!" Luka snapped back.

"You two were mistakes... "Howlan growled at his sons, he regretted saying such cruel things but he knew the twins were ready.

"Alpha! There are rogues at the border!" One of the other Beta's ran inside the house anxiously waiting for orders.

"Protect the others, I'll deal with the rogues. "Howlan replied before stepping away from his sons. "We'll talk later. "

"Like hell, we will. "Zander snapped towards their father, their father growled in return before leaving outside quickly.

"You okay?" Luke asked quietly glancing at his older brother.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Are you? I swear if you hurt you, I'll tear him apart I three seconds. "Zander faced his brother, leaning into his touch.
