《The Alpha's Treasure (EDITING)》chapter 3

"Can we join you guys" a chirpy voice said from behind me. I turned around and came face to face with a smiling girl which made me jump a bit in surprise.
"No you can't join us, there are many other sits available here" Luke replied while gritting his teeth.
"Why not" he replied and I felt chills down my spine as I heard his voice. It was deep and beautiful and I really wanted to hear it again.
"Because I said so"
"That isn't an answer"
"It is a very clear answer Caleb so please walk away from me before I lose my temper". Luke said now clearly annoyed. I couldn't help but stare at the both of them like they had corns growing on their heads. I mean Luke just called him Caleb which means he knows him.
*cough* they both snapped their heads to me with the same angry expressions on their faces and I felt like sinking into the ground but I had to talk.
"You won't stop squeezing the ketch up and I really wanted to finish my chips but now it's all wasted" I said frowning at Luke as I crossed my hands.
"What?"I asked when I saw the look of disbelief on his face.
"Nothing. I_ I'm sorry, I'll get you another one".
"You don't have to. I already lost my appetite because of you two idiots. Why can't we share out table? Ours names are not written on it" I said now very frustrated.
"Yeah. I know but... "
"No buts Luke. You can all seat if you want to. No one is stopping you" I said challenging Luke with my eyes, daring him to reply.
He let out a sigh and went back to his plate stabbing the steak in the process which meant I had won.
They all started taking seats until one of them decided to talk which was really getting on my nerves.
"Are we all going to ignore the fact that this human just called Caleb an idiot" the only blonde guy in the group said pointing at me. Why can't pretty boys keep their mouths shut sometimes.

"Listen to me blondie. I appreciate the fact that you noticed I'm a human being and you are not but I promise you if you don't seat down right now and seal those pretty lips of yours, you'll be leaving school today as a castrated "animal". "
"What the..."
"Daniel" I heard Caleb I'm assuming is his name cut him off, "just shut up and seat down please".
"But.. "
"Now" Caleb said sternly and Daniel sat like a dog would do when its owner tells it to sit.
"Hello. I'm Lily, his sister". I turned to the girl who had earlier asked to join us at our table and put my hands in hers as she stretched it towards me after pointing to Caleb.
"I'm Skylar. This is Emma, Betty and Luke whom I assume you know considering the fact that your brother knows him". I said pointing at my friends.
"Yeah. Anyways these are Ian, Sophia, Sydney, Chloe, Caleb and finally Daniel. Don't listen to anything he has to say, he's a complete asshole." She whispered to me.
"Heyyy!! I heard that".
I already like her, she's friendly unlike the girl with the white blonde hair Sydney who had a look on her face that clearly said "I want to murder" written on her face.
"Everyone's staring" I turned to Emma as she spoke and noticed the lunch room was still quiet with everyone staring at our table.
This is going to be a long lunch.
"Are you okay?" I asked Luke when I saw him staring into space. He hadn't even realized that I was now parked in front of his house waiting for him to get out. I mean I love Luke but I need to get home before it gets really dark.
"Yes, yes sorry I'm fine" he said coming out of his trance.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm seriously fine. You don't have to worry about me."
"is it because of the transfer students??"

Silence.
"You don't have to tell me about it till you want to" I said placing my hands on his.
Turning to me he smiled "i'll explain when I'm ready. Okay??".
I nodded in reply and he gave me a kiss on the head before saying his goodbyes.
I didn't want to leave Luke all alone, something didn't feel right. Since I drove out from the school's parking lot, I felt like someone was watching me, and now I still have that feeling but it must be my mind playing tricks on me.
"You're late" I told Emma as she stepped into my house.
"You should be thanking God I decided to come here because my step-mom almost didn't let me"
"I can't believe she finally agreed to let you go out".
"Who said she agreed??". She replied smirking.
I just rolled my eyes and shook my head without anything to say.
When I got home I realized no one was at home so I decided to call Emma to come over cos i didn't feel like staying home alone. She agreed to be here in twenty minutes but came one full hour later. Typical Emma.
"So what are we doing next?" she asked after we were done with our assignment.
"I am not doing anything next but you are going to sit down take my laptop and watch a movie" Emma's laptop was taken away from her by her stepmother. She hasn't been allowed to watch a movie in six months now and honestly, I don't know how she survived it. I probably would have died if it had been me.
I gave her the laptop and watch as a smile crept up her face and it made me happy to know that she was happy.
"What's this movie about" she asked pointing at the laptop and as I saw what she was pointing to my smile totally disappeared and I stared at her like she has two heads.
"What? Why are you staring at me like I just told you I'm pregnant".
"This has to be a joke". I replied still in shock.
"What!! "
"How the fuck do you not know what game of thrones is about" I practically screamed.
"Hmm"
"I mean I'll understand if you haven't watched it but you haven't even heard of it. How is that possible??".
"Can you now tell me what it's about". She repeated. "Please".
"I don't know. It's mainly about sex and wars and dragons. Just watch it and don't skip any episode cos i know you well".
"Whatever".
Hey, hey Sky. Wake up.
I stirred a bit and opened my eyes to a smiling Emma.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong . I mean i'm leaving now"
"Why? You haven't even stayed for up to two hours". I whined
"Yes I have Sky". She replied laughing a bit "Your parents returned from their date thirty minutes ago which was by eight thirty" I shot up from bed as I heard the time.
"How long have I been asleep for??"
"Three hours to be precise".
"Wow".
I watched as she stopped up and began packing her things inside her bag but I didn't want her to go.
"Can't you stay for the night? I can give you one of my clothes to wear tomorrow".
As soon as I said that she dropped her bag and jumped back on the bed.
"I was scared you wouldn't ask".
"Smh Emma you know I don't have to ask you if you want to stay here. It's practically your house too". I said shaking my head but smiling.
"Whatever. Keep quiet now, I'd like to go back to watching the movie.". She said shooing me with her hands.
I just smiled and went back to sleep with one particular colour of blue eyes in my mind.
