Tip 1: Join a club, martial arts club is better. Trust me, you're going to be needing it in the future.

Your footsteps bounced off the walls of the empty hallway, exploring down the hall and looked around to find something that would catch your attention. After all of your classes ended, you decided to join a club, or any extra curricular activities to pass up some free time, that you would most likely going to have after school.

Your lips pressed into a thin line, your eyes scanning every open rooms and posters glued on the doors. In one of the opened doors you saw were students chopping vegetables and meats, you immediately knew it was a cooking club. Then there was one room that the inside was a dark and creepy with strange writings on the floor with lit candles around it, you heard that it was an occult club.

Then there was a drama club, that you saw a poster on its door, photography club, art club and even gardening club. Switching your eyes from left to right, you spotted something that took your interest and you didn't hesitate to enter inside the room.

You see a boy standing in the middle of the room by the large windows, wearing a loose white karategi top and bottoms with black round belt around his waist, a red band on his upper left arm and a white bandana around his head, under the fringe of his black hair.

You approached the boy, opening your mouth to speak but he interrupted you. "Welcome to the Martial Arts Club! My name's Budo Masuta," He greeted enthusiastically with a wide smile. "What brings you here?"

"Hey, my names Y/N Y/L/N. I wanted to join your club, are there any requirements?" You replied, eyes traveling around the room, studying it.

"None, the martial arts club is pretty much open for anyone." Budo said, he turned around and walk towards a desk containing a pile papers and neatly lined folders. "Let me get you a brochure so we can start."

You silently nodded. Looking around, you notice that the club was quite empty comparing to the other clubs, especially the cooking club. The thought of cooking made you remember about Ayano, did she join the cooking club?

"So..your club," You slowly begun, trying to find a word that wouldn't offend him from the lack of people. "Where are your members?"

"Oh, the others took a break for today," He explained, carrying a piece of paper, brochure and a card. "Here's the brochure, you can see the list of things you'd be needing here. And I just need you to sign this."

Budo handed out a pen and a piece of membership contract attached on a clipboard. Signing the paper on the bottom right part, you gave it back to him and in return he gave you a card.

"This is your membership card you just need to write your name and attach one of your pictures, signature on the back and you're good to go," He informs, resting the clipboard on his hips. "You must always bring your card at every club meetings, just stick it with your school ID so you'd never forget."

You nodded in understatement, inserting the card in your pockets. "Okay, thank you." You told him, preparing to leave.

"Oh, practice starts tomorrow!" Budo yelled at you once you neared the exit. "I suggest you prepare your things right away."

"Okay!" You yelled back.

"Fantastic! You are now an official member of the Martial Arts Club! I'm looking forward to teaching you everything I know!"

You closed the door behind you and sighed, grateful that it's finally finished. Walking down the hallway, you look towards the window, watching the sun finally beginning to set behind the mountains, and the hall begins to glow in a bright orange color while the darkness slowly crawled out from the corners.

Your Eye/C orbs instinctively rolled around, the gut feeling of being watched returning back again. Ever since the class begun you cannot help but to feel like someone is following you, at first you ignored the feeling because you didn't want to assume on things.

Pushing the feeling aside, you fixed your bag on your shoulders and head towards your locker and took out your shoes before exiting the school.

Today was a very good day, and you expect more things in the future.

-

A week passed by so quickly, you've made a few friends in your class. There was one named Taro Yamada, he was quite an interesting guy, being fawned over by girls from the lower levels and in even the class but he doesn't seem to care, or maybe he's just to oblivious to notice.

You never know.

Speaking of friends, you've gotten close to Ayano -actually you just assumed that you've gotten close- greeting her every time you passed by her in the corridors and even wave at her when you walk across her classroom. After your lunch with her last week, there's nothing special happened between the two of you, you weren't even able to hang out with her since then.

And you wished that something miraculously happen so that you could spend time with her.

Meanwhile you're queued up in the canteen waiting for you turn to buy some lunch. You slept late last night due to a club meeting and you practiced after to pass time but you forgot about it and end up coming home late, so you didn't have the time to prepare your lunch in the morning.

You repeatedly click your tongue, trying to see if it'll help you distract yourself from the boredom that is slowly overtaking you. Looking around, the canteen was packed with students, you can see some of your classmates and club mates sitting in one of the tables.

Your attention was caught by a certain raven haired girl sitting alone in the very corner of the room, her head hung low as she slowly busied herself eating her lunch.

Ayano-chan..

Hearing the cashier call your name, you quickly averted your attention and begin to choose what you'll eat.

Ayano quietly chewed her lunch, her mind swirling with thoughts of Taro Yamada, the boy who she had been crushing on for a year now. She had been spending her time getting rid of her rivals, the ones that had a crush on him and even those who just spend time with him.

Ever since she saw Taro, her dearest senpai, she suddenly felt emotion that she didn't think of attaining, that's when she knew that she have to do something to make him hers. That's why she would do anything to get him, she would never hesitate to eliminate the ones who's in the way.

Every girls who were a mere inches near him gets killed.

But then you came in the picture. Days passed by after your lunch with Ayano, you've acquainted yourself with Taro, she always see the two of you together after school walking home when you don't have practice.

Technically you, him and your friends. But in her eyes, she could only see you and Taro.

Oh how she wanted to get rid of you, but a part of her didn't want to, she doesn't know why and it's making her mind go crazy. You were something else, you made her feel things that wasn't common as how Taro made her feel.

It was too foreign for her that she pushed those aside and focused on what Taro made her feel. Her thoughts were interrupted when she felt a presence popping beside her.

You freely sat yourself next to her, placing your tray of lunch in the table and turned your head towards her, greeting her with one of your charming toothy smile.

"Ayano-chan!" You beamed. "Mind if I join you?"

Ayano gave you a surprised look. "N-no, uh..I don't mind.." You grinned at her, turning your head away and begin eating your food.

It was silent for a few minutes after your conversation, you just kept stealing glances at Ayano, noticing how she would zone out as she ate her lunch. You silently curse yourself, trying to find courage to talk her.

You weren't like this before, the hell, you're the most friendly and a bit talkative person. But when it comes to Ayano, all of those went out the fucking window.

This was your chance talking to her. Maybe the only and last chance you'll be spending your time with her since next week would be a one busy week.

It seemed that you spent the remaining time in your own thoughts that you didn't notice that Ayano had already finished her lunch. She stood up, snapping you out of your thoughts.

"I'll be heading out first." She mumbled, preparing to leave.

In panic, you immediately stood up grabbing Ayano by the arms. She turned around with wide eyes, and you swear you saw something in her eyes. And it was not good.

"A-ayano-chan, I.." You stuttered, looking at her gray orbs made you more nervous. You closed your eyes, sighing deeply.

Now or never, you thought to yourself.

You then bowed your head, confusing the raven haired girl in front of you. "Let's go out!"

Ayano's mouth hung open. "Se-senpai?.."

Standing right up. "I know that..uhm..we've only knew each other for a few days, Ayano-chan..but I cannot hide the fact that I am starting to like you.." You were now beet red at your sudden confession. "Will you go out with me..Ayano-chan?"

-

You silently leaned against a wall under an awning of a coffee shop a few blocks away from your school, waiting for a certain jet black haired girl hoping that she would arrive. You've heard from your fellow classmates that the shop makes really good coffee, especially one of your favorites: iced coffee. But since the weather is this bitter cold, you'll stick to hot coffee or hot chocolate.

Sinking your head in your shoulders, hiding your neck in your thick jacket for warmth. You dig your hands deep into you pockets, already feeling the cold spreading around them. The sky was darkish gray from the weather, and the clouds were rumbling, a light glinting from within.

To be honest you don't even know if Ayano would show up, you just waited.

"Y/N senpai.."

Around you were a crowd of students, their loud inaudible conversation and laughs swirling around the two of you. But it was as if they all just vanished into thin air and it was only you and Ayano standing in the middle of the room staring at each other.

"You don't have to decide right away, Ayano-chan.." You told her with a sad smile. "I'll just wait for you to come. This weekend, Saturday at Ryuki's Kohe coffee shop."

You pressed your lips into a thin line. "Whatever your choice are, Ayano-chan, I'll understand." You told her before standing up and exiting the canteen.

You sighed, raising your wrist to check your watch. It was already past lunch time, you've been waiting for her about an hour and a half.

Maybe she's not coming..

With a deflated look, you pushed yourself of the bricked wall, tugging your jacket tightly around your body while you stepped down the stone stairs of the coffee shop. You stared down your feet as it bounced on the ground. You were utterly disappointed, not because Ayano didn't show up, but because you expected her to come, and expectation hurts.

You stopped in your tracks seeing a pair of feminine feet blocking your way. Looking up, your lips parted at the mesmerizing sight in front of you. Ayano stood before you, her jet black hair flowed down her shoulders framing her beautiful face. She wore a thick pastel pink sweater that complemented her flawless white skin, a high waist denim shorts while a bit of skin of her legs were shown as it was covered by her long socks -above the knee- and her feet rest comfortably on a pair of white shoes.

"Sorry I'm late.." Ayano muttered shyly, playing with her fingers that she always hug on her chest. She then looks up at you to see you already staring at her with wide eyes. "Y/N-senpai?"

Blinking dumbly at her. "You look so..beautiful, A-ayano-chan.." You uttered.

Ayano felt heat creep up her neck, her cheeks burned and she immediately covered her face with her hands, you chuckled at her adorable reaction. Reaching one of your hands out, you pulled her hands away releasing the other while you pulled the other hand closer to your lips.

You placed a soft kiss at the back of her hand, gazing at her warmly and smiled as you pulled away. "You don't know how much you made me happy being here, Ayano-chan.."

You stared into each others eyes as if memorizing each other. Ayano's gray orbs always sucked you to oblivion and you don't even mind. As much as how Ayano gave you that effect, you didn't know that you gave her so much more than that.

Ayano gazed at your Eye/C orbs, her heart gunning wildly in her chest. What was this, she thought to herself. Why were you making her feel this way. All she knew that only Taro, her senpai, would only make her feel this way. It was making her mind more insane that it was.

She briefly averted her attention down to her hand that you were holding and looked back up again. Maybe, just maybe, it doesn't hurt to take risk. She then made choice, letting go of Taro Yamada and give you a chance.

Ayano felt a soft squeeze on her hand, she looks at you as you gave her a warm smile. "Let's go?" You asked, tugging her closer to you as you shift both of your hands and intertwined them together.

A small smile erupted on her face, nodding her head. Together hand in hand, both of you entered the cafe, marking this day as the start of something new from both of your relationship, a friendship and bloomed into something more.
