《Red Whispers || Wanda Maximoff X Reader》Chapter 6 || The Mind Stone

I explain all of the memories of Hydra and what my experience was, Strucker's plan for world dominance and now Lascombe's. I tell them about the experiments, my training, the minuscule missions I was sent on, but that the first real one was when they caught me so clearly I still need some training.
I leave out the part of my visions from the stone but I do tell them the quickest summary of me touching it and that's how I got most of my powers in the first place.
"What stone was it? What did it look like?" Banner asks as he sorts through a bunch of stone images. I tell him to stop when I see it. He tilts his head curiously and says, "but that's the-" "The mind stone."
Wanda looks at me knowingly, telling me she knows that experience all too well. It's what me, Pietro and her all experienced differently.
"Hydra made us all go up to it, it's how I became...me."
"So the mind stone made Little Witch...Little Witch, and turned my sister into a mixture of Little Witch and Pietro?"
"It seems like it," Banner says but I shake my head.
"No. I don't have all that Wanda does. Neither with just Pietro's speed. It gave me both but it also gave me more. Plus I don't have the little mind games that she has, at least I don't think I do. I can run faster than anything, I'm stronger than probably most of you, agile, I can fly and I can move things with my mind. I am pretty sure that's all of it."
"Pretty sure?" The archer asks.
"Pretty sure isn't sure enough," he huffs as he approaches but Natasha grabs him, "Clint, easy. There's no doubt that Hydra didn't give her all the information. They were using her as a weapon. Bucky took her for a reason, he saw potential and so did Strucker."
"Great, then let's just ask Bucky."

"It's not that easy Bruce. Bucky won't really know, the only one who does is Strucker." Natasha explains and another voice comes into the room.
"That'll be hard to do since he's dead."
Steve, I think. The one with the shield and tights.
"Rogers, glad you could join us. Won't you come sit in on my family reunion. One of which your little boyfriend so kindly left out that he didn't actually kill my entire family."
Steve sighs and scratches the back of his head, "Tony I told you it wasn't Bucky it was-" "The Winter Soldier I know. Whatever. Look, she's not dangerous, she has her memories, she's normal. Let's just set up Y/N with a room. Welcome to the Avengers Kid." He pats my arm and I chuckle while he walks away, Bruce and Clint following.
"And he's not my boyfriend Tony! We've been best friends for decades!" Steve follows them out of the room, leaving just Natasha, Wanda and I alone.
Natasha scoffs at the men and nods at me,
"I can show you around the compound. There's an open room. on the second floor. I'm sure Tony already has Friday getting it set up for you."
I nod my thanks as Wanda helps me up from the bed. I go to follow Natasha out of the room but feel Wanda's grip on my arm tighten. I turn towards her and she looks down at the ground, then back up at me. I know she's thinking of my vision with the mind stone, and keeping it from everyone. But before she can say anything I beat her to it.
"I don't need everyone knowing that when I got my powers I saw you. I still don't know what it means or why out of everyone I saw you, okay? Just...I need time."
She stares at me and our faces are mere inches apart when her palms cup my cheeks, eyes darting from one to the other.

"The mind stone is in you, as it is in me."
Her skin is soft on me and the way she looks at me, it reminds me of the vision, the feeling of warmth and safety. I let my lips curl up into a smile and I start to feel myself leaning down towards her until I hear Natasha shouting from another room,
"Stark! You coming or what?"
Wanda pulls her hands from my face and nearly pounces back from me as if my face was made of flames. I break our eye contact and clear my throat, tossing a clipped nod at her.
"I-coming!"
I slowly back away from Wanda who just stares at me with a confused tilt to her head. I give her one last look before finding Natasha.
We walk around the compound and she shows me every room. I find the training room to be the most intriguing of them all. I stand inside it while she watches.
"Pretty neat, right?"
"Beyond. It's...incredible...who build this place?"
"Nick Fury, but your brother was the brains behind it. Designed it, added all the tech to it."
I chuckle and shake my head, "he always was one for luxury. I'm impressed."
"He's a smart guy."
Scoffing, I turn back to her with a smirk.
"Yeah but...I'm smarter."
I finally get a laugh out of her. She crosses her arms with a playful shake of her head.
"You're definitely a Stark."
"And that's a bad thing?" I question while I let myself fly up to observe the tech lining the ceilings, observing every inch.
"Only the opposite. Although if you're anything like Tony I'd say that your head is too big to sit on those tiny shoulders."
"Pff, tiny? You underestimate me Natasha...Romanoff, is it? That is your last name?"
She nods while I lower myself down, meeting her at the doorway as we continue to walk around. When we finally get to the second floor she opens a door and gestures me inside.
"And this would be your bedroom. Try not to break anything, alright? Place ain't cheap."
I smile and look around, seeing that Tony already had some accessories added. Pictures of us as kids with Mom and Dad, then some of just Tony and I. I pick them up and trace over my younger face. I look happy.
"You were cute. Wonder what happened."
"Funny, Romanoff. Wonder if you ever were in the first place."
I can feel her smirking behind me, I don't need to turn around to see her enjoyment of our little banter. She's fun. Not as bad as I originally thought. Just rough around the edges. I like that though, makes her more interesting, mysterious even.
"Do you need anything else before I let you go?"
I think for a moment and nod, "Actually, yes. The mind stone. Where is it? After I touched it I never saw it again. The power it has...it shouldn't be in the wrong hands."
"I agree. We have it safe. No need to worry."
That's a very broad answer.
"That gave me ultimately nothing seeming as I barely know who you are."
She snorts out a laugh and grins at my words.
"The mind stone is with The Vision."
"The who-now-what?"
"Vision."
We turn to see Wanda behind Natasha, leaning against the doorframe. She stands with her hands across her chest, nodding at Natasha who just looks at me, then smiles before leaving. Wanda enters more into the room and explains who Vision is. When I hear "Ultron" I look up and frown, "Ultron's alive?"
"No. Not exactly." When she gives more insight into it, I understand but am still lost. So the mind stone is what gave Vision life but Ultron is the one who created him.
"And where is this 'Vision' now if he has the mind stone? He shouldn't just be walking about, if he ends up in the wrong hands-" "I assure you Y/N I am in the right ones. My own."
