Rachel's POV

I got out of bed and put on a t-shirt and shorts. I went into the kitchen and grabbed some donuts and water. I went into the office and started working on business.

I read pack requests for help, I read about rogues who wanted to join our pack and I got tired of reading. I looked at the clock and saw only ten minutes passed by. I groaned and hit my head on the desk.

"Mom, you okay?" I looked up and saw Tiana walk in with Mike.

"Hey guys. What's up?" I asked.

"We just came in here to tell you that we wanted to have the ceremony of us acknowledging that we're mates."

"Oh! Yeah, of course! We'll have it when Karen comes back."

"Yay, I can't wait." Tiana exclaimed. She was happy and I loved the way Mike looked at her.

"Hey Mike, could you help with this? It's pack work and I don't know how I'm supposed to get through all of this paperwork."

He chuckled and replied, "Yeah. Hey baby, I'll meet you in a little bit, okay?" "Okay." Mike kissed Tiana and she blushed and giggled.

I awed in the background and they laughed and Tiana gave me a hug before walking out.

"I don't know how you and Karen do this all the time." I said reading over some documents.

"We don't really think about too much. Once you start it's kinda hard to stop." He said. "Plus, we skim over most of them. The main reason is in the first paragraph. If not there, the last one. And if we can't find it then we decline them." He made three stacks and explained that each stack was a maybe, yes, or no.

I nodded and did what he did. After two hours of reading, my stomach growled and my head was pounding.

"Ugh, I need food." I said outloud.

Mike nodded and continued reading. "Come with me Mike, your mate may want to see you." I told him.

He stopped and his head snapped up. "Tiana is hurt?"

"No fool, just take a break and go see her." I replied rolling my eyes.

"Okay." He put the paper down and got up to stretch. The phone rang and Mike answered it.

"It's for you." He handed the phone to me and I answered.

"Hello?"

"Rachel, honey, why didn't you answer your cell?"

"Because I don't have it beside me?" I replied.

"Rachel, I have some gossip."

"Spill the tea."

"There's something wrong with Austin. He looks depressed and no one is telling me anything."

"Sounds shady."

"It does! But it's okay cause I'm gonna expose his ass."

"How?"

"By throwing a party."

"What for?"

"Cara's mate is Michael!"

"Oohh! Yay I'm so happy for her!"

"Me too, I almost cried."

"At the party I know I will cry."

"Our babies are growing up so fast."

"I know, it seemed like yesterday we found them in the woods screaming at each other."

"Well yesterday, we were in the woods and they were screaming at each other."

"I know, it's just their way of showing sisterly love."

"Haha! Like you did with Michael?"

"Like you did with Austin?" I didn't hear anything on the other side until Karen responded with, "Shut up."

I laughed and she growled. "Aww baby, don't be upset."

"Whatever."

Rachel, come to the training field.

Alright, on my way.

"Karen, I gotta go, I'm needed at the training field."

"Alright. Bye Luna Rachel."

"Bye Alpha Karen." I told her giggling. I hung up and walked to the training field.

When I arrived, there was a group of people standing and Lucy was standing in front of them.

"Honestly, I'm getting tired of playing nice. If any of you don't start giving me answers, I'm going to kill all of you myself." Lucy growled out.

"Lucy!" I called out walking to her.

"Oh thank the Moon Goddess." She met me halfway and gave me a hug. "They were getting on my nerves. I kept asking why are you here and they kept saying we'll only speak to the person in charge. And I told them you'll do what the fuck I say cause I'm the one asking questions."

I had to stop her because her wolf was starting to come out and an angry Lucy is not someone you cam calm down easily if you aren't mates.

"Hey, it's okay, I got it. You can stay here with me while we find out why they're here."

"Ugh, I know Mike found his mate but he really needs to start doing his part around here more. With Garrett out doing work and Mike distracted, I'm stressed because I'm doing my job, Garrett's job and Mike's job at the same time."

"I know Lucy and you have no idea how much I appreciate everything you're doing. You are an angel, seriously. Now come on, let's find out what they want."

We walked to the people and they all stared at me.

"Can I help you guys?"

"We'd like to speak with the one in charge."

"We'll, you're looking at her." I replied.

"No, there's one more above you."

"And what if there wasn't?" I asked tilting my head to the side.

"There has to be, a woman can't run the pack."

Right when I was about to reply, a voice came through and said, "Think again asshole."

Karen walked over to us and kissed me. "Hey." "Hiya."

We looked at the guy and his face was full of disgust.

"Now what do you want?" Karen asked.

"We were going to ask for help. My son is being seduced a man and sadly they're mates. But seeing as you two are just the same, we are going to leave."

"Buh bye." Me, Karen and Lucy said. They scowled and started walking away.

Karen kissed me again and buried her head in the crook of my neck.

"Karen, I am stressed all the way out right now." Lucy said.

"Okay, what's wrong?" She asked.

"All of these roles I'm doing right now. I know Mike wants to be with his mate but he cannot neglect his duties. May you please talk to him?"

"Yeah, of course. But I need you to do one more thing for me?"

"What?"
