Rachel's POV

I rolled over and felt the sunlight hitting my face. I squinted and realized that today is the day my family and I leave our pack, the Red Claw Pack, to the Blood Moon Pack.

Our alpha and the alpha over there were having some land disputes and they agreed that if we gave up a family of werewolves, they would leave us alone. My dad, being the amazing Beta that he is, volunteered to go over there. Let's just say I was pretty pissed off.

"Rachel, honey, it's time to go." My mother called from outside the door.

I groaned and got up and washed my face and brushed my teeth. I didn't really wear makeup, it was annoying to deal with.

I grabbed my bags and suitcases and walked downstairs.

"Yeah, it's not like I didn't need help or anything." I muttered to myself.

"Everyone, quiet." Alpha Jack yelled.

Everybody stopped talking and I stood over by my parents and older brother. My brother is a nuisance so I don't even talk to him.

"Beta Rian and his family volunteered to move to the Blood Moon Pack. I wasn't expecting it but, he's willing to do this for the sake of our pack. Today, after they leave, our Gamma, Rob, will become Beta and I'll see who's worthy of being Gamma. Rian, you're my best friend and I wish you the best of luck." Alpha Jack said.

Everyone was telling us bye and a few of the women were crying because they're going to be missing my mom.

I didn't really have friends. I mean I did but I wasn't close to any of them. I preferred to stay in my room.

After about five minutes, we finally left.

"Rachel, wake up." My brother said pushing me.

"Bro, chill the fuck out!" I yelled.

He rolled his eyes and my mom yelled at me for using vulgar language. I don't know why she's throwing a big fit, she talks the same way.

We all got out of the car and my dad met this big guy. He looked really scary but, he smiled at my dad and they started talking and laughing then, the alpha hugged my mom.

"These are my children, Rachel and Michael. Come on up here you two." My dad said.

Michael and I walked up to my dad and the alpha shook our hands.

"I haven't seen him since he was a baby!" The alpha boomed.

Michael laughed and scratched the back of his head.

"I take it you haven't found your mate, seeing as you're with your family and no girl." The alpha said.

"Yeah. I'll find her though." Michael replied.

"How are you my dear?" The alpha asked me.

"Pretty chill, you?" I replied.

"Rachel!" My mother snapped.

"She's fine Cass." He assured my mom chuckling.

I shrugged and the alpha looked at my brother and I.

"I'm Alpha Alex. Our Beta, Zack, is out with a few of our warriors training. He should be back any minute now." Alpha Alex said. "My mate and your Luna, is inside checking everything for your rooms. She picked the best three rooms for you guys."

"Ooh, I can't wait to see her!" My mom exclaimed.

I rolled my eyes and Alpha Alex led us inside. Their pack house was much bigger than ours and I just stood there looking.

I took a big whiff of the air and caught the most delicious scent ever. It was faint but it was there. I followed the scent and my parents were shouting my name but I didn't listen. I kept walking until I got to a room. I knocked on the door and got no answer. I opened the door and the scent was strong.

Mate! That's our mate! My wolf yelled.

Yeah that's our mate but where is our mate?

I don't know. My wolf was sad and I turned around and walked downstairs.

"Rachel, you alright?" My mom asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just sniffing the air." I replied.

My eyes got big and my mom smirked at me telling me that we'll talk about it later.

I sighed and followed her around.
