In the beginning, the Ancient One created two beings. He loved them both equally, and the two beings he created became his children. He bestowed supreme powers to each of them; the woman was given the power of witchcraft and illusions, while the man was given strength and telepathy. Sadly, the siblings did not get along. They both wanted all the powers for themselves and fought every day trying to kill each other and absorb the dead one's powers.

The Ancient One had enough and separated his children permanently, never to meet again, and named them as the Sun god and the Moon goddess. He placed a curse that the Sun god cannot survive under the moon, and the Moon goddess cannot survive under the Sun.

The Ancient One then created a third being: mortals without any powers but with the ability to live under the Sun during the day and under the moon during the night. The only ability he never gave his two children.

The Sun god created the Elementals and the Originals. The Moon goddess, not to be outdone, created the Elders and the Shadows. For the first time ever, the two siblings—thinking as one and in an effort to acquire this power humans have to live both under the sun and moon—ordered the Elementals, Originals, Elders, and Shadows to breed with humans to gain this power.

The Elementals, the Originals, the Elders, and the Shadows all bred with humans.

The Elementals hybrids are Witches/Warlocks; the Originals are Vampires; the Elders are Weres, and the Shadows or Weins are the Others.

The Sun god and Moon goddess, still trying to overpower each other, created hierarchies in these hybrids based on the power and strength of each group. And with hierarchy came severe abuse of power that even the god and goddess did not foresee.

Callum 'Cal' Yorke is an omega and a recipient of constant abuse due to the hierarchy. After much physical and emotional abuse, Cal decided to bypass his goddess and change his destiny with the help of another god. Cal had enough and dared to go head to head with the Moon goddess. Cal fights to forge a new way for his wolf and himself, changing the status quo along the way.
