Hell broke loose on Twitter the next morning. People were freaking out about the picture that George tweeted, in response to Nick, and they were also freaking out about the radio silence on Clay's end. More people got on board with the idea that something happened with Clay and Quinn, but now they think something is going on between Quinn and Nick.

"We have to do something about this," Quinn put her head in her hands, a little more stressed than usual, this was the unfun part about being a streamer.

"Are you sure we have to?" George mindlessly scrolled, "Clay doesn't seem too concerned, so why should we?"

"Yeah, where even is he?" Nick stood from the couch and went to the front room, this morning when they woke up, Clay's car wasn't in the driveway. He had left with no word of when he'd be back.

This only worried Quinn a little bit.

"He's fine, probably had to run errands or something. George, are you sure we should just let them speculate? It seems dangerous." Quinn decided that she wanted water, so she went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle.

"Yes, it's fine, they'll stop freaking out about it sooner or later. The more attention we draw to it, the more they give to the situation and that's not what we want," George made his way to where Quinn was standing and offered her a hug, "You've been dealing with a lot lately, you don't have to give explanations for your actions all the time, you deserve to relax."

"Hey are you guys hugging without me?" Nick joked as he walked back into the kitchen and joined in on their hug, "George's right though, you don't have to constantly explain yourself, I promise." Nick had a mischievous look on his face, Quinn picked up on it instantly.

"No," she said pointedly, not even wanting to know what he was going to suggest.

"You didn't even let me speak!" Nick crossed his arms, "Not fair, I had a good idea."

"Doubt it," George said under his breath, "Good ideas are foreign to you."

This caused the boys to get a little rowdy, Nick threatening to dropkick George, and George threatening to pour salt in his sock drawer. It was mostly playful, this happened more often than not, where their competitive nature gets brought out in an instant of them just messing around, and then it escalates.

"Okay, okay, Nick what did you want to do?" Quinn knew she would regret asking.

"Okay so you know how I bought that pet-safe dye..." He did the stupid finger thing, pressing his pointer fingers together trying to feign sweetness.

"No. No. And No. We are not dying my cat," Two months ago, Nick did a video in which he let his followers decide what he was going to buy from Amazon, and one of the things on the list was pet-safe dye, because everyone wanted him to prank Clay by dying Patches pink. He has not attempted to dye Patches once, but every two weeks or so, he asks to dye Tiki.

"Why not? She would look so pretty pink! " Nick flattered the cat as if it would make him win, "Plus it would be great, we could stream it!"

"Absolutely not, Nick, if you want to buy a cat and then ruin its fur with dye, be my guest. But if you get anywhere near my cat with fur dye, I will pour water all over your PC," Quinn threatened, trying her best to be scary, but Nick just laughed.

"Yeah, right," he said, "Like I would let you anywhere near my computer."

Quinn began to book it in the direction of Nick's room. However, everyone in the house knew that she wasn't fast enough to get there. This proved to be true when she felt Nick's arms wrap around her picking her up off the ground. George was doubled over in laughter.

"Put me down!" Quinn thrashed as he slung her over his shoulder like she weighed nothing.

"Hell no," Nick scoffed, "I like you much better up here knowing that you can't cause any damage this way."

"Nick put me down, I mean it! George this isn't funny!" Quinn yelled at him as Nick carried her back into the living room, throwing her down onto the couch. She landed with an 'oof' and in seconds was back on her feet, ready to pounce on Nick and give him payback. She was stopped by a female voice walking through the front door.

Nick, Quinn and George all froze in their places, looking to where they heard the voice. Clay was back, and it looked like he had brought Vanessa with him. Quinn was suddenly, very self-conscious.

She surveyed the girl quickly. Her hair was long, longer than Quinn's at least, and she was a little shorter than Quinn. The thing that Quinn clocked quicker than she wished was Clay's hand in Vanessa's, their fingers intertwined. Ouch.

Quinn looked at her own outfit, and compared it to the girl in front of her. Vanessa was wearing a black skirt, with a sweater and a collared shirt underneath it. She looked like she came straight from a Tik tok. Quinn, on the contrary, was still in her pajamas, plaid pants and a sweatshirt. This was a little awkward.

"Oh, guys, I didn't realize you would all be up, well this is Vanessa," Quinn was doing her best not to look at Clay, "I figured you guys should meet her."

Quinn put on her best fake smile, "Hey I'm Quinn," she waved friendly-like, calming the anger that slowly built in her.

"I know," Vanessa nodded, also wearing a fake smile, "I see you in Clay's streams."

"Oh, so you're a fan?" It slipped out. The boys looked at Quinn with wide eyed expressions, in shock that she actually just said what she said. It wasn't supposed to come out rude, but it did, "Wait that sounded bad, I'm so sorry."

"I'm not a fan of yours," Vanessa said with a sweetness in her voice, and it went over the boys head that she was being territorial, "But I am his."

Quinn just nodded, biting her tongue to keep from getting sassy with Vanessa this early. Part of her wanted to restart the morning and have a sick day where she didn't leave her room, and the other part of her wanted to deck Vanessa in the throat.

Quinn stayed quiet for most of the morning, George and Nick both noticed this, George texted her first.

You okay? I know this is weird.

Nick doesn't either. I'm on the fence.

She seems to make Clay happy, it's nice to see him smile again.

Quinn stopped answering his texts and instead checked her message from Nick.

I don't like her.

You're jealous, i can see it in your eyes.

It's okay i think she is threatened by you.

Idk but if she is a fan then she would bee

the people have shipped you guys for a while

Quinn tucked her phone into her pocket and swallowed hard. She had escaped to her room, telling everyone that she was gonna get ready for the day, but she really just needed a second to step away. Quinn had to keep herself from spiraling in her own thoughts. It wasn't working well.

"Oh my gosh," She whispered, taking her hair down, her mind caked with possible scenarios.

What if Vanessa moved in with them? Could she handle being around them all day every day? Would she start being in streams? Would the fans like Vanessa, would they like her better than Quinn? What happened when people started asking her in chat about Vanessa, what would she say? What would she do if they were together long term? Would she ever get over Clay?

"Knock knock," Vanessa was on the other side of Quinn's door.

"One second?" Quinn felt her stomach drop and not in the good way, she dressed herself quickly, pulling on something that would be considered suitable for an occasion like meeting your crush's girlfriend.

She opened the door to Vanessa, who welcomed herself in.

"Your room is a lot darker than I thought it would be," Vanessa commented, and noticed Rose who was lounging on the bed, "Awe you have a cat?"

Tiki had perfect timing, because as soon as Vanessa said something, Rose jumped up and sprinted out of the room.

"Yeah, that's Tiki, she likes hiding in Clay's room, because that's where Patches normally is," Quinn was reading the room, Vanessa wasn't coming to hang out, there was something she had to say, "So... What's up?"

"I think we should talk," Vanessa took a seat on Quinn's bed, and Quinn was a little shocked, "About Clay."

Quinn wished that she could faint on command in this moment. Because Vanessa's sweet expression faltered a little bit. But Quinn nodded, standing entirely still.

"I know that you and Clay are friends. But you should keep your distance," it wasn't a threat, but it didn't sound nice either, "I know fans are crazy, and I don't know when he wants us to go public, but I know they think you guys are together. So I don't think you should stream with him for a while."

Quinn hoped this was a joke. She knew that Vanessa wasn't trying to tell her what to do right now.

"I'm sorry?" Quinn started, taken aback by how bold Vanessa was being, "I don't think you understand. Clay is more than just my friend. But not in the way you're thinking. We're business partners. We make content together for our jobs. And I don't want to overstep my boundaries, but I'm not gonna stop streaming with him."

Quinn felt a weight come off her chest. It had to be said, Vanessa wasn't allowed to come in and walk all over Quinn's life.

"I think that's a little rude," Vanessa crossed her arms, "He's my boyfriend."

"Oh, is he?" Quinn felt herself catch an attitude, "because last time I checked, he just mentioned you to us, and he tells us everything."

"Well we've been talking for like two weeks, and he asked me to be his girlfriend this morning, so I imagine his feelings are very strong for me," Vanessa was entirely too cocky, but it knocked Quinn down a few pegs. Two weeks? What an asshole.

"If his feelings for you are so strong, then it shouldn't matter if we stream together, for work." Quinn walked out of her own room, feeling a little hurt and angry. She stomped across the house and into Nick's room.

"Where's Clay?" Quinn refused to be upset right now, she shoved the hurt away for just a moment, letting the frustration take over.

Nick noticed immediately. One thing the boys learned quickly, was that when Quinn had a temper, it was better to comply and not ask questions.

"He's in George's room," Nick pulled his phone out, trying to make it seem like angry Quinn wasn't making him nervous.

Because they lived on opposite sides of the house, Quinn didn't really hang out in George or Nick's rooms, they all normally met in the middle somewhere. But Quinn took note of how neat Nick's room was. She appreciated it, even in her anger. When she pushed open George's door, both George and Clay looked up to see her, and George realised her anger before Clay did.

"What's up," Clay asked stupidly, as if he had no idea what was going on.

"Get your girlfriend out of my room."

George's jaw dropped a little, looking back at the code that him and Clay had just been working on. Clay however, let his face fall, looking defeated.

"She told you? Quinn, I'm sorry," Quinn wanted him to shove his apology up his ass.

"Get your girlfriend out of my room." There was such a sternness in her voice that Quinn almost scared herself.

"We probably should talk," Quinn could not understand why Clay wasn't reading the room.

"I don't wanna fucking talk to you. I want you to get your girlfriend out of my room before I do it myself," This seemed to get the message across, because he left without saying anything else.

When he was gone, Quinn let out a sigh, she closed her eyes for a moment, willing herself to get control back, to calm down.

"Are you okay?" George asked quietly, and in seconds Nick was there too. Quinn just nodded, she didn't want to talk about it, she just wanted Vanessa gone.

"You can hang out in my room, if you want, so you don't have to see them right now," Nick offered, and Quinn smiled at him, "I might stream on my alt, but I won't use face cam if you're in there."

"Okay," Quinn followed Nick into his room, and climbed into his bed. It was cool under the covers, Quinn felt very relaxed. She laid down listening to the sound of Nick getting ready to go live, as she scrolled on Twitter.

"I think," Nick looked back at her from his desk chair, "that we should dye Patches."

Quinn laughed a little bit, "No freaking way, his girlfriend would kill me."

"Quinn, are you okay? I know this is hard," Nick's voice softened, he wasn't live yet, but his starting soon screen was displayed.

"Yeah, it's just all happening at once, and she came out of nowhere," Quinn allowed herself to confide in Nick, "she mentioned that they had been talking for like two weeks. It wasn't even three weeks ago that Clay and I..." She didn't finish her sentence, but Nick knew, "Do you think they were talking when we? Did I get played?"

"No way," Nick was quick to respond, "I knew Clay liked you, like for real, he wouldn't do that to you. Not if he cared about you as much as he told me he did."

"I don't know... It just sucks," Quinn returned to her phone, checking the trending tag. #Dream'sGF was trending, again. What now? Quinn clicked on it. And her mouth fell open.

"Nick? Come look at this," Quinn felt like she was gonna throw up. Someone had screenshotted a tweet that a username NessaVa had shared. The screenshotted tweet was from ten minutes ago, and had a picture of Clay smiling with Vanessa, with the caption isn't he handsome? :) and the date, a signifier of a relationship.

"Holy shit," Nick held Quinn's phone and back traced to Vanessa's original tweet, he got real quiet real fast, "Quinn..."

She clicked on the picture from Vanessa's tweet, it was a screenshot from her camera roll, the date of the photograph visible, and Quinn's throat went dry.

"He met with her two days after we were together." Vanessa had done this on purpose, of course, gloating that she had him. Quinn frowned, but that's all she could do. There was nothing from Clay yet.

"Vanessa just mentioned that she didn't know how long they would wait to go public," Quinn turned her phone off.

"Unless he doesn't know she did it," Nick offered and Quinn gasped.

"That's exactly what she did. I don't know if she did it to rub it in my face, or to show off that he was taken, but I don't know if he knows." Quinn was interrupted by a call from Ellie.

"Hello?" She answered and listened before she went completely pale, "Nick?"

"What? What happened?" He saw the concern in her face.

"Nick you're not muted." She spoke so quietly, chat heard everything. They heard about Vanessa and the tweet. Quinn thought she was gonna throw up, they heard about her feelings for Clay and that they were at some point together.

Things were about to get a lot worse.
