"GEORGE! There's a skelet-" Quinn didn't get to finish her sentence.

GeorgeNotFound was killed by a Skeleton.

She could hear George's frustration in the breath he let out. They had been testing a new mod, Minecraft, but every piece of food they collected replenished half of what it was supposed to. This meant a lot more time killing animals. But the seed for the world was awful, spawn was in the middle of a spruce forest, meaning the only food found right off the bat were sweet berries, which did more harm than help.

Quinn ran back in the direction of the base they set up, maneuvering her character out of the birch forest she found and through the grassy field. Upon approaching the house, she found George running in the opposite direction. There was a wooden axe in his hand, and a piece of bread in his off hand.

"This is getting a little frustrating, this seed is weird," George admitted tiredly.

"Yeah," Quinn agreed, "I mean we're not doing bad, we could go to the nether if we wanted to. What do you think, chat?"

Quinn turned her attention to the flood of messages that filled her twitch chat, some of them were sub notifications, some were channel point redemptions, and some were just plain old chat messages. Most of them said the same thing, CREEPER.

"What?" Quinn turned her character quickly and sure enough there was a creeper in the base.

"CREEPER!" She yelled, trying to switch to her sword, but she wasn't fast enough.

Its_Quinn was blown up by a Creeper.

"DAMN IT," If that wasn't bad enough, the message that appeared when she re-spawned only made her more frustrated.

Your home bed was missing or obstructed.

"Fuck," Quinn sat back in her chair and crossed her arms, before noticing that Nick was standing in her doorway.

"I can hear you from across the house," Nick said standing in Quinn's doorway, "you're so loud."

Quinn saw a donation pop up on her screen, a robotic voice read allowed, "AW they're in their roommate arc."

"Sorry, Sap," Quinn tabbed out of the game for a second and checked discord, she saw the notification pop across her screen. It was her chat with Clay.

Quinn felt heat rise in her cheeks. She knew that Clay was in the room right next to hers, just laying there with his twitch open. She thought about the fact that he was probably critiquing her skills, and she felt embarrassed. Although it was nice to know that he was even watching. She didn't respond to the discord message, but instead checked back in with George.

"Should I try to find my way back? Or are we gonna end it here?" Quinn was asking George, who complained about being hungry fifteen minutes ago.

"End stream, I think we should revisit this later. Plus you said we were gonna get something to eat," George wasn't whining, but he was a little miserable, he hadn't been sleeping well, and it was starting to seep into his personality.

"Okay, alright, lemme just find someone to raid real quick," Quinn opened discord and messaged Niki, who mentioned doing some Dream SMP lore stuff.

Still planning on going live?

Quinn shot back a quick response before closing discord and looking at the stream chat again. She noticed a bunch of twitch prime subs, and began to thank a bunch of people who were gifting.

"Guys, I have something really big planned for this week, and I think you guys are going to be pumped about it, so if you wanna catch the upcoming streams, hit the follow button so you can get notifications when I go live! Also go follow George, because he coded this mod and even though it was frustrating to find food, it was fun." Quinn clicked a few buttons, getting ready to raid Niki, "Alright, I'm gonna raid Niki, she's doing some lore stuff on the SMP, so stick around to watch her. George and I are gonna go eat, and I'll talk to you guys later!"

As the stream ended, Quinn felt herself release a deep breath. Streaming was always so much fun, but having so many eyes on her, felt a little weird. She got up from her chair, and went into the kitchen, where Nick was leaning against the counter, most likely on twitter. Upon her arrival, Nick spoke.

"You know that creeper bit is getting clipped, right?" He chuckled a little to himself, without looking up.

"Yeah, yeah," Quinn shrugged, "Are you coming with us to eat?"

Nick nodded, and George walked into the kitchen, a sleepy expression written across his face, Nick took note of this, "You really need to be getting more sleep at night."

George waved him off, "Is Clay coming?"

Quinn shrugged and offered to go get him, their rooms were the closest to each other, sharing the same hallway with a bathroom in between the two. She knocked on his door, but got no response.

"Clay?" She pushed the door open slowly and found him under his covers, with Patches and Tiki snuggled up next to him, "Tiki, is this where you went to hide?"

He was almost asleep, and Quinn found herself staring, there was something mesmerizing about seeing Clay this at ease, this still. She almost wanted to tweet a picture of him, but decided that was too weird, even if she knew his fans would enjoy it. Ever since the face reveal from a year ago, his fans love just seeing him and his life, which had vastly changed since then.

It was four months ago that Quinn moved in with Clay, Nick and George. It was mainly a work related decision, since Quinn's best friend, and previous roommate, Ellie, couldn't afford to lose her sleep schedule for twitch. But it was also just a fun idea, because now making videos and streaming was so much easier, and there was more availability for in-person streams, which fans loved.

"Quinn?" Clay's sleepy voice made Quinn's stomach flip on its head, because that of course, was another thing. She may or may not have moved in so she could see him every day.

"Did you wanna come get something to eat with us? If not we could bring you something back," she suggested, fighting the smile in her voice.

"No, no, I'll come," He insisted, starting to get himself out of bed, "I can't believe I fell asleep, I was watching your stream and I guess I drifted off after I messaged you."

Knowing that he fell asleep to the sound of her voice wasn't making her current situation any better, she felt her face go red. She tried to play it cool and switched the conversation.

"Nick mentioned wanting to drive, so hurry because he will leave without you," Quinn joked before trying to make her escape to the kitchen.

"Wait," Clay whined, "help me up... please?" He added the please for good measure.

Quinn fought her heartbeat the picked up in her chest as she approached the sleepy blonde who extended his hand. As she tried to pull him up, he tugged harder, causing Quinn to lose her balance and fall flat on top of Clay.

He laughed heartily, his voice low. Quinn was incredibly flustered as she scrambled to her feet.

"Sorry," she mumbled, it wasn't her fault, Clay was just trying to be funny. It failed on her end.

"It's okay," the smirk on Clay's lips was undeniable.

Quinn retreated to the kitchen, trying to calm her stomach, that had flipped on its head. She stopped ignoring her feelings for Clay, but now every little thing that he did made her extremely flustered. Nick and George were waiting for her, George looked like he was going to fall asleep standing up.

"Is he coming?" Nick questioned grabbing his keys from the key bowl. At the sound of keys George's eyes opened slightly, before he yelled.

"Shotgun!"

Clay groaned as he approached the rest of the group, the two cats sauntering behind him. When he saw how tired George looked he didn't put up any more of a fight, but slipped on his shoes that were by the front door.

"It looks like it might rain," Quinn pointed out as the group approached Nick's car.

"That's perfect nap weather," Clay seemed to have a plan forming behind his eyes, "After dinner, we'll come back, I'll nap for like four hours and then I'll probably go live, if anyone wants to join."

"Sorry, I'm Valorant-ing on my alt later," Nick backed out of the driveway with ease.

"I probably can," Quinn nodded to Clay, "George will definitely be asleep, but we can fool around on the SMP if you want? Non-canon stuff, of course."

Clay agreed and the group fell into a comfortable silence, Nick handed the aux back to Quinn, because George was very much unconscious in the front seat. Quinn opened Nick's Spotify, they had a shared playlist, because much of their taste in music was the same, and so she set it on shuffle.

A few minutes into the drive, Quinn felt her eyes drift over to Clay who was quietly watching Tik Toks and laughing to himself.

"Lemme see," she pawed at Clay's hand, who looked at her with a half smile. He patted the seat directly next to him, ushering Quinn to move closer.

Closer. Her stomach flipped again, but still she unbuckled her seatbelt and moved over. Nick looked at them through his rearview mirror.

"No sex in the backseat, please," It was obviously a joke, and Quinn nor Clay could hold back their laughter.

"WHAT-" Clay wheezed, "That's what you're thinking about? You're driving, Jesus."

"Hey, hey, hey, I just have to make sure that my car stays clean, unlike yours," Nick commented back. Out of the four of them, Nick and Clay fought the most, but it was never anything serious, mostly it was just brotherly love.

After everyone, except George who was still asleep, got their giggles out, the comfortable silence returned. Quinn looked over Clay's shoulder watching Tik Toks with him. Every once in a while, they would both laugh a little, and their arms would touch, or their shoulders would bump and every time, Quinn felt herself smile a little more.

They decided on Chick-Fil-A for dinner, seeing as it was one of the easier options. Instead of eating in, they took the route of picking it up and taking it back to the house, seeing as there was a good chance of the group getting caught in the rain.

"George, we're home," Quinn let Nick and Clay bring the bags and drinks in, while she woke up George.

"Quinn?" He looked a little disoriented, his skin was flush and pale, but his cheeks a warm pink, "You didn't have sex in the back of Nick's car right? I was hearing things, right?"

Quinn let out a soft laugh, her maternal instinct kicking in and feeling George's head, it was warm, "Are you feeling okay?"

The brunette shook his head before collecting himself with a yawn, and heading inside. Quinn suggested that he get a lot of sleep tonight, as it felt like he was coming down with a fever. The group ate dinner on the couch, like they normally did, while the cats went from person to person, mewling for scraps of food. Outside, the rain began to pour, dimming the light in the house, making everyone a little more sleepy. After dinner, Clay caught Quinn right as she was heading to her room.

"Did you still wanna go live with me later?" He asked, something about him seemed nervous. It was a little out of character.

"Yeah if that's okay with you," She fought a yawn that was rising in her throat, she might take a nap too before going live with him. Clay nodded at her.

"If you want, we could hang in my room for a bit, take turns taking power naps, so we don't sleep through the night?" It was a dorky offer, but the idea of spending some one on one time with him was too exciting.

"Sure, sounds good, lemme just put something more comfortable on, and I'll meet you in like five minutes."

Behind her closed door, she let out a very controlled breath, she felt her skin spark. She put on a Dream hoodie and a pair of sweatpants, before collecting her cat that laid sleeping on the bed.

Quinn got Tiki about a year ago from an adoption center, it was practically love at first sight. They bonded quickly, and Tiki seemed to like almost everyone she met, but she took a special liking to Clay, and could be found in Clay's room most of the time.

"Hey sweet girl," Quinn cooed, making her way to Clay's room with the cat purring in her arms. With Tiki there, Quinn would be less nervous, it would be like a cat play-date.

As soon as she got into Clay's room, Tiki hopped out of her arms, and under his bed, where Patches played the most.

"Welcome," he greeted tossing Quinn the remote to his TV, motioning for her to sit on his bed. Clay's room was exactly how anyone would expect, a green comforter, a clean closet, a slightly untidy desk, and LED lights that lit his room in color. His room was so him that Quinn became a little self conscious of her own boring room.

She flickered through a few things on Netflix, not really caring what she put on, her eyes getting heavier by the second, the cold air lulling her into sleep. Clay had the coldest room in the house. It was probably because it was so dark here, that there was heat.

She handed the remote back to Clay and just shook her head, yawning. He must've understood what she meant because he took a seat beside her, and began searching for something to watch himself.

"You can put your head down if you want, or you could lay down, if that would make you more comfortable," He offered his shoulder to her. Quinn tucked herself into his shoulder nicely, feeling the weight of sleep overcome her. Quinn's body felt numb and alive at the same time, feeling Clay's arm wrap around her, as she caved into slumber.

When she woke, she wasn't sure how long she had been asleep, but she knew that Clay had also drifted off, his arm still wrapped around her. Quinn sat there for a moment, letting herself pretend like they were more than just roommates and friends. She breathed in his scent and felt her stomach flip, it was a little intoxicating.

Even though she wanted to stay there forever, she knew it would be a little awkward in the morning when they both woke up. So, she begrudgingly got out of his grasp, careful as he stirred slightly in his sleep. Quinn helped lay Clay down in his bed, without waking him, before tiptoeing out of his room.

"Quinn?" Nick caught her red-handed.

"What time is it?" She tried to play off the guilty look Nick was giving her.

"Four in the morning, what are you doing coming out of Clay's room? Did you guys finally..." Nick had a suggestive smirk in his tone, and Quinn could slap him for it. He had discovered Quinn's feelings for Clay pretty early on, when she accidentally texted him something that was supposed to go to Ellie. Ever since then he had been slyly trying to get them together.

"No, nothing like that," Quinn set the record straight, "we were planning on streaming but both fell asleep, and now I'm too groggy."

Nick nodded and the two wished each other goodnight. Quinn felt her face darken with embarrassment as she settled into her own bed. Her feelings for Clay were getting stronger, it wouldn't be much longer before she wouldn't be able to hid them from him. Quinn fell asleep a worried mess.
