"Did you listen to what I said and got rid of it?" Ahmed questioned giving Egypt the stare down.
"I did." She answered pouring a line for him.
"You better keep that ugly ass sister of yours in check, it ain't nothing for me to send my boys at her head." He threatened and she looked at him.
"What? What I tell yo simple ass about that?"
Ignoring him, she stood up and he laughed pulling her back down.
"Take that shit to the head." He asserted, "What?!" She shrieked.
"Don't make me repeat myself." He gritted, swallowing her pride, Egypt went ahead and snorted the line.
Wiping her nose, she leaned into the cushion and just stared ahead.
"Gotta be the most dumbest bitch in the city." He insulted as he got up to open the door.
Kelly, one of his many flings stood in the doorway in only a trench coat.
"I have a special treat for you." She spoke seductively as she undid the tie.
"Bring it on in." He replied stepping back, walking into his 'business room' she looked over at Egypt and laughed.
"You laced it again didn't you?" She asked snapping her fingers in Egypt's face but she was temporarily out of it.
"She don't know how to shut up some times." He replied closing and locking the door.
Walking over towards the sofa, he sat down and retrieved his personal coke from his pocket.
Placing some on his finger, he rubbed it over his gums then smirked.
"You know what to do." He reminded allowing her to undo his belt.
Giving her a line, he closed his eyes ready for her to take him out of this world.

Present Day
"That's what you're wearing?" King asked Renae as he entered the bedroom with the towel around his waist.
"Something's wrong?" She asked looking over her attire.
"Nah, but you'll be cold in there. We keep da ac on." He informed heading to the closet.
"I'll wear one of your jackets if you don't mind." She replied.
"Yeah, I think you should." He replied and she laid back in bed and unlocked her phone.
Dajon's name came across the screen and she smiled answering.
"Hey DJ!" She beamed and he chuckled.
"My bad for ignoring yo call, I was busy." He partially lied, "Doing what? You got a girlfriend?"
"Maybe." He answered and she laughed.
"Mhm, I wanna meet the heifer." She stated and he laughed.
"I'll think about it, how are you? You alright?" He asked.
"You know me, I'm like the damn hulk or something can't die even if I wanted to." She joked but he didn't laugh.
"What'd you just say?" He and King asked, she looked at her phone then at King.
"I was joking."
"Don't play like dat Nae." King spoke and she sighed.
"Yeah what bro said, why you find death so funny?" Dajon asked.
"I was just playing." She stressed. "There's always truth in your jokes Z."
"I know..." she mumbled. "I'm sorry." She apologized.
"What you up to? Y'all bouta go somewhere?"
"Yeah, gotta rum some errands." She lied. "How's dad?"
"Mm, ok on y'all grown folk shit."

"Hey, watch your mouth." She said and he chuckled.
"Stuff, dang so motherly." He teased and she laughed.
"I sure am, I practically raised you with dad." She reminded.
"Yeah yeah, tell Kingston I'll call him later and Bryson wants to talk to him." He told her and she nodded.
"Ok, I love you." She replied.
"I love you, be safe lil girl." He said before hanging up.
Sitting up, she looked down at her screen.
"What you thinking about?" King asked loading his glock.
"Nothing, you ready?" She asked hopping down from the bed.
"Yeah go ahead and start da car up."
Nodding she grabbed the keys off his dresser and headed out the room.
Picking up his ringing phone, King sighed seeing Keenan's name.
"Helluh?" He answered putting on his sneakers.
"Aye, everything good with y'all?"
"We straight." King answered. "If you're calling to ask if I put hands on yo aunt da answer is yes, I choked her up."
"I wasn't calling because of that, I don't even know where her ass is at. Where's Zuri?"
"Outside." He answered.
"She been dodging my messages."
"I wasn't aware of dat." King replied heading out the room after grabbing his charger.
"Can you tell her to hit me back? I'm just trying to make sure she's ok." He worried.
"She's good bro, but I'll let her know." King replied making his way to the door.
"Aight, aye look you really moving out there?"
"Yeah, Virginia wasn't for me. I'm used to my roots." He answered.
"I don't blame you, don't front on us since you back down there though. You know we still boys." Keenan told him.
"Mhm, big love woe." He replied stopping Renae from getting out the driver side.
"I'ma let you go, y'all be safe."
"Aight bro." He replied before hanging up.
"Who was that?" Renae asked after backing out the driveway.
"Keenan."
"Oh." She mumbled stopping at the stop sign.
"Why aren't you speaking to him?" He asked placing his gun inside the glove compartment.
"I just don't want to right now. I can only worry about Dajon and Bryson right now." She told him.
"That's yo cousin though Nae."
"I know that, I just need time to separate from them. I feel like everyone knew." She said as he instructed where to go.
"I can understand dat." He replied sending a text to Jamel.
"Remind me to give you dick tonight." He added and she laughed.
"Oh so you're really gonna uphold your end of the deal?"
"I'm a man of my word love, you should know dat." He replied and she smirked.
"Mhm."
**
"Call me if you need me aight?" King asked after getting Renae situated.
"I will." She replied then follow Ace into the kitchen.
"First time having a shorty up in here, dem niggas finna act a fool." Jamel cracked and Ty laughed.
"They know better." King replied as they left out.
"How old are you?" Ace asked.
"Twenty, you?" Renae asked. "Twenty one." He replied handing her some gloves. "What made you want to do this?" He questioned.
"Stuff I've been through." She answered watching him measure the stuff.

"And you're Yung's girl?"
"Yup." She replied taking the baking soda box from him.
"You plan on being in this lifestyle long term?"
"Maybe." She answered backing away from him. "I'm not trying to push up on you." He told her.
"I know... I just don't like being close to guys." She informed, staring at her funny he decided to leave it alone.
"Just stir this up, I'll come check on you in a bit." He said placing the empty pan next to her before he left out.
Renae leaned against the counter just watching the stuff began to boil.
"Here." He spoke tossing her a face mask. "Remember to wear those." He added then left out.
Picking up the mask, she put it on and just kept an eye on the product.
She couldn't believe she was in here making what took her parents away from her.
"New girl?" Lincoln called peeking into the kitchen.
"Yeah?" She answered cutting the stove off.
"Meet us out here." He asserted before walking away.
Nodding, she poured the mix into the other pan then headed out the kitchen.
Sitting at the table with Ace and Lincoln she watched to see what they would do.
"We need a name for you." They spoke, "Like what?" She asked removing the mask and gloves.
"What's the initial to yo first name?"
"R." She answered.
"Aight, we can go with Red." Ace announced. "I like that." She replied looking towards the front door.
An taller brown skin guy walked in with 2 duffle bags.
"Who's that?" Renae asked.
"Trouble." Ace answered and she furrowed her brows.
"That's what we call him." Lincoln corrected and she laughed. "Oh." She mumbled just as Trouble walked over.
"The other lil niggas still out there." He announced placing the bag on the table.
He was about to walk away until he noticed Renae.
"Who she?"
"Yung's shorty." Lincoln answered.
"What ya name is?" He asked sitting across from her.
"Red." She replied slapping hands with her.
"You look like a young bull."
"She's twenty." Ace corrected.
"Word? What made you wanna do this?" He asked.
"Personal stuff." She answered taking the bag from Lincoln.
"Count this." He added handing her the log and a pen.
"By hand?" She asked and Ace and Trouble laughed.
"Yeah, boss man uses the money counter." They informed. "Well damn." She mumbled taking out the money.
They moved the stuff over to give her room and got into their own conversation while she counted the money.
"You ever killed somebody?" Ace asked and she stared at her hands blankly.
February 13th
"Where you think you're going?" Ed, the morning Doctor asked.
"Bathroom." Renae mumbled keeping her eyes down.
"You're not supposed to be out your room or did you forget?" He questioned following behind her.
Ignoring him, she picked up the pace.
For the past week, there has been a total of 4 doctors that have attempted to rape her.
"Did you hear what I said?" He asked opening the supply closet and forced her inside.
Before she could scream, he covered her mouth and pressed her back up against the wall.
Each time he reached for her pants she pushed his hand away.
"Stop fighting it." He gritted pinning her arms above her head.
Going to kiss her, she turned her head and he laughed licking her cheek.
Snatching her pants off, he ripped her panties and freed himself from his slacks.
"Scream and I'll dislocate your jaw." He threatened.
Shaking her head frantically, the tears clouded her vision as her screams were muffled.
Placing himself at her entrance, she squeezed her eyes shut and used all of her might to free her hands.
Once free, she pushed him back as hard as she could watching as he stumbled back and fell into one of the nails.
Covering her mouth to hide her scream, she watched as the life slowly began to leave his eyes.
Pulling up her ripped clothes as best she could, she went to touch him but her hands wouldn't stop shaking.
"Oh God...."
"What did I do?"
"Please don't be dead" she begged as she placed her ear up to his nose.
Not hearing anything, she shook her head as the tears began to fall.
Hearing the knob turning, she felt her heart leave her body as she stood frozen as the Janitor walked in.
"I-I didn't... It was an accident!" She cried looking down at her shaky hands.
"Did he try to hurt you?" He asked and she nodded quickly.
"It was an accident!" She cried.
**
"We got dat shipment coming in tomorrow night, from da Mexican connect." Ty announced as they sat in the truck watching the police department.
"It don't feel weird to be doing what these niggas be doing?" Jamel asked and King chuckled.
"I rather we know their schedule before they figure us out." King replied.
Learning the police everyday life routine was part of their lifestyle.
It also helped them stay 8 steps ahead but they were shooting for 10 steps since they had Renae now.
"Imagine being a cop just to kill minorities and get a slap on the wrist." Ty spoke.
"Why you think folks hate da system so much? Them niggas know how to cheat the game and most of the damn judges be racist anyways." Jamel replied as he snapped a few pictures of 2 officers looking at little girls.
"I said it before and I'll say it again, the prisons were created for us and da system is built for us to fail." King said as his phone started ringing.
"Let me guess it's Renae?" They joked. "Nah, Ace." He replied before answering the call.
"Helluh?"
"Nigga get over here, yo girl just started spazzing out and locked herself in the bathroom." Ace announced.
"What you mean spazzing out?" King asked tapping Ty and motioned for him to cut the engine on.
"I don't know, we were talking and then she just spaced out."
"Nigga what did you do?" He questioned.
"Boss we were in here talking, I don't know. She kept saying "It was an accident" then started throwing shit at us."
Sighing, King ran his hand down his face.
"What?" Jamel asked.
"Nothing." King mumbled hanging up the phone.
"We gotta off somebody?" Ty questioned and King chuckled.
"Nah, not this time."
