《Changing the human made villainess.》Chapter 9

Another week passed and aderi was invited to her grandparent's residence again.
"Ah, m'lady, the duchess and duke Lacita still haven't arrived, they are currently in the city buying things, they didn't expect you to be so early, so please let us guide you to the waiting area," One of the maids said as soon as Aderi got of her carriage.
"Ah, I see...I guess I arrived too early" Aderi said as she adjusted her hat.
"I did rush today to get out of that hell hole," Aderi thought to herself thinking about the Callista's manor.
"M'lady if you're ready, I can guide you to the waiting room," Luke said with a gentle smile as always.
"Sure! please guide me to the waiting room sir Luke," Aderi said with a smile, Luke bowed and walked as Aderi followed behind Luke.
"Sir Luke, may I ask you something?" Aderi asked as she was looking at Luke's walking figure that was in front of her.
"Oh? What is it, m'lady?" Luke asked as he stopped and looked behind him, facing Aderi.
"It's just a random question, but may I ask, what is your last name," Aderi asked curiously, Luke smiled.
"It's Luke Ortiz, m'lady, and please just call me Luke, no need to add 'sir'," Luke said with a smile as he turned back to look where he is going.
"Ah, I see...although don't you think 'Sir Luke' has a nice ring onto it?" Aderi asked, luke scratched the back of his neck out of embarrassment.
"I'm sorry, m'lady, but as a son of a mere commoner like me isn't deserving to get called as sir, especially by a daughter of a duke and duchess," Luke said embarrassed by the situation since Aderi is sincere in calling him, sir. Aderi frowned.
"Is this what it was like back then?" Aderi asked herself, before opening her mouth to reply to Luke.
"Your father has been serving the Lacita family for years now, and you are now doing the same, I believe you and your father are deserving of respect, even without a noble title," Aderi said sharing her opinion, Luke giggled.
"I'm also surprised that us mere commoners were picked to be a butler for the Lacita's," Luke said with a small smile on his face.
"You and your father aren't lacking with your work, so I believe you should also have a title-- who cares if you're born as a commoner, why should we care about titles when respect should be our priority?" Aderi asked, Luke's mouth opened, but it is unable to answer, he too agrees with what Aderi said.
"You're much older than me sir Luke, and because of that I should respect you, we should not care about our titles-- My grandparents also think the same, that's why they took you in as the loyal butler that will serve them and not just some other people with a noble title," Aderi said with a bright smile, Luke stopped and turned to Aderi.
"One day, I'm for sure you'll get a title sir Luke" Aderi smiled. Luke couldn't help but smile.
"Not everyone thinks the same as you, m'lady, I must say...the Lacita bloodline is indeed kind, even to us commoners. They even gave us a job" Luke said with a bright smile.

"From now on please allow me to call you sir Luke, it will make me very happy!" Aderi said, Luke, giggled and patted Aderi's head.
"If only he thinks the same" Luke mumbled, but Aderi couldn't hear it properly.
"Huh?" Aderi asked confused, Luke laughed.
"It's nothing m'lady, let's continue on our way," Luke said with a smile before walking again, Aderi stood there for a second confused before following Luke again.
"I'd be nice to have a brother...in my past life I was an only child, even here..." Aderi thought to herself as she started walking again and looking at Luke's walking figure.
After turning to another corridor they finally arrived at the guest audience room, but this audience room is for family only.
There are 3 types of audience rooms in the manor. First is the family audience room, where family members of the Lacita can wait for the duke or duchess Lacita.
The second is the guest audience room, where other nobles can wait for the duke and duchess. And the third one is the royal audience room, a luxury guest room only for the royal family.

Aderi was sitting in the family audience room bored, right now she has been waiting for 20 minutes. She made up her mind to go out and walk for a bit, after all, she is permitted to walk around the estate when she's here.
"It's boring here," Aderi said as she stood up and walked to the window where you can see parts of the garden.
"The garden..." Aderi said, the bushes in the garden were neatly cut again and the roses were wet, it looks like it was recently watered.
"A walk in the garden would be nice" Aderi smiled as she walked to the door.
On the way to the garden, she bumped into a maid.
"Ah, I apologize m'lady!" The maid said as she bowed after bumping into her, Aderi smiled and shook her head.
"It's alright," Aderi said, the maid smiled and nodded.
"Thank you, malady for forgiving me for my mistake," the maid said as she stopped bowing.
"I have to go now," Aderi said with a smile as she walked away but the maid stopped her.
"May I ask where you are going, m'lady?" The maid asked with a worried look on her face.
"I'll be going for a stroll in the garden, please tell the others to inform me when my grandparents come back," Aderi said with a smile, the maid smiled and nodded.
"My pleasure, m'lady, please enjoy your walk," the maid said with a smile, Aderi nodded and started walking again.

"Wow! Just as I expected the roses are recently watered," Aderi said as she lightly touched a rose, the rose was glistening due to the sun, and the rose was wet to the touch.
Aderi started walking around the garden more, she was walking around with a smile as she looks at the different kinds of flowers in the garden. Most of them are ordinary flowers, nothing special. Not until Aderi stopped when she saw a flower that she was unfamiliar with.

"Huh? What is this?" Aderi asked herself as she held one flower gently not wanting to damage the flower.
The flower was blooming so beautifully, it has white petals but the inner part of the petals has a gradient between blue and pink.
"THIS FLOWER IS SO BEAUTIFUL!" Aderi said amazed by the flower, the flower was indeed beautiful. It was like from another planet.
----
Little did Aderi know she wasn't alone in the garden.
Behind the bush of the flowers, she was inspecting was the garden pavilion. Someone in the pavilion heard her.
----
"So, who could be the one making the noise?" The person who was sitting in the pavilion asked themselves. He put the tea that he was drinking down and sat up from his chair.
°
"Wow, I wonder what these flowers are called," Aderi asked herself still inspecting the flower.
"That's the yuscent, it only grows in the manor of the lacita's you won't find it anywhere else," someone said beside Aderi. Aderi jolted up after hearing the voice. She stood up straight and looked at the boy.
It was a boy around her age, he has orange hair and blue eyes and he was wearing a black suit.
Aderi sensed that it might be a noble's son so she did a curtsy.
"I'm Aderi Nova Lacita Callista, pleasure to meet you," Aderi said as she did a curtsy.
"No need to do a curtsy, you're a higher rank than me after all," the boy said as he followed it with a sigh.
", a pleasure to meet you lady Callista," the boy said introducing himself with a bow. Aderi smiled and nodded.
"Call me Aderi instead," Aderi said with a smile. Lucas's eyes widen.
"W-wait! Are you crazy!? We just met, did you forget about the kingdom rules?" Lucas asked Aderi, Aderi shook her head.
"Yes, I do know the kingdom rules, only friends and family can call someone by their names, to the friends part you can only call them by their name if they gave you permission," Aderi said as she said one of the kingdom rules.
"Exactly! So I cannot refer to you as lady Aderi, lady Callista" Lucas said, he paused for a bit before he continued what he was about to say.
"Especially that I'm just a mere son of a marquess," Lucas said as he look down, Aderi frowned.
"Wait- blue eyes, orange hair...a son of a marquess and his name is Lucas--Could this be...Aderi's accomplice in the novel!?" Aderi thought as she kept looking at the boy.
"Are you alright, Lady Callista?" Lucas asked as he noticed Aderi was spacing out.
"I don't see why we can't be friends, I even have a friend who is a commoner, he even calls me by a nickname," Aderi said as she answered quickly. Lucas's jaw dropped as he heard what Aderi had just said.
"L-lady Callista and a commoner? How could a mere commoner call a daughter of a duke and duchess by a nickname!?" Lucas asked shocked and furious, Aderi chuckled which took Lucas off guard.
"Come on, Lucas! Titles should not be an excuse to call someone by their name, we're friends now aren't we? I already permitted you!" Aderi smiled warmly at the boy, Lucas opened his mouth to talk but nothing came out.
"It's settled then Lucas, from now on I'm Aderi to you, okay?" Aderi said smiling, Lucas just stood there not knowing what to answer.
"It's probably best if I also stick to him in this life of mine..." Aderi thought as she looked at the spaced-out Lucas.
"Anyway...I like your hair, it has the same color as sir luke" Aderi said as he looked at Lucas's neatly brushed hair, changing the topic.
"It's probably because we're related," Lucas said as he looked away.
"Eh?...YOUR RELATED!? WHAT COUSIN? SECOND COUSIN? UNCLE?" Aderi asked surprised, Lucas shook his head.
"Brothers...half brothers to be exact" Lucas replied, Aderi was even more shocked now.
"T-this wasn't mentioned in the novel! Lucas has a brother!? I know Luke wasn't mentioned, but...to be connected to one of the important people in the novel? This is important information!" Aderi thought shocked at what she had just heard.
"You seem confused...We both have different fathers, I'm a son of a marquess and he's a son of a commoner," Lucas said explaining, he sighed after. Aderi nodded in response.
"I also cannot believe that a daughter of a duke and duchess would call a mere commoner 'sir' it's just unbelievable," Lucas said rolling his eyes, Aderi's jaw dropped.
"Anyway, want to have some tea with m-" Lucas was cut off when they heard someone calling for Aderi's name.
"Ah...my grandparents must already be home, let's drink tea some other time," Aderi said with a small smile, Lucas nodded.
"Did I offend her with what I said?" Lucas asked himself as he looked at Aderi turning her back from him.
"Lucas...before I go I want you to keep in mind that..." Aderi paused as she faced him again, Lucas looked at her confused. Suddenly he was slapped in the head by Aderi.
"I don't mind titles, if I see someone who is respectable I give them the proper title even if it's recorded in the palace lists, and shouldn't you call sir Luke, 'brother' or at least sir? You're blood-related after all" Aderi said scolding Lucas. Lucas on the other end was holding his head that got slapped by Aderi. He was looking at Aderi with confusion.
"M'lady, where are you?!" They heard someone calling for her again, Aderi ran towards the voice but stopped and faced Lucas one last time.
"Let's have some tea another time Lucas, bye then!" Aderi said with a bright and warm smile. Lucas's eyes widen as Aderi ran away. Lucas cracked a small smile.
"The daughter of duke Callista and duchess Callista is indeed hard to guess, one moment she looks sad and one moment she'll slap you," Lucas said chuckling by himself.
"You're unique lady Aderi," Lucas said as he looked in the direction Aderi went.

What will he do to uphold his father's words while keeping his life safe? As for the prince, Theodrech has nothing to do with Freidrech, so he wishes to let this slip, but the boy opens his mouth and proposes the most ludicrous challenge he ever heard and triggers his curiosity. This amuses the prince. It is the first he met a boy of the same age who is not intimidated by the air of authority he projects. Rather, this boy challenges him. "Why are you so headstrong? In fact, bowing to me is an honor. You saw the King's noble Knights. When they saw me, they bowed," says Theodrech, testing Freidrech. "Allow me to be forward, Your Highness. For me, bowing to a monarch does not guarantee loyalty. If I were you, I rather have men who stand straight in my presence but who got my back, than bowing men who are dreaming of my death," replies Freidrech. The prince’s curiosity increases. A huge smile is seen on his face. Prince Theodrech decides to take Freidrech under his wing. Little did they know, this boy who Prince Theodrech takes in as his confidant and friend in the most ridiculous fashion is someone indispensable in his life and the one who can help him succeed the throne when he almost believes he has lost. Who Fixes Books Anyway?
On the pretense of a raise, the relatively new employee Pernie is called in to talk with her superiors. NOTE: This is a short story written for a class I took recently. As a result of deadlines, it does not possess the quality (or length) that I would like and is rather thrunkated. Perhaps sometime far in the furture I'll fix it up. For now, I have much more important things to work on, such as my other fiction.
