After breakfast, Mumma informed me that some of their neighbors and relatives are coming to see me as they were not able to attend the wedding yesterday, so, they want to meet the new bride,

I became a bit nervous, what if they don't like me?, suddenly I felt someone holding my hand and I turned my head to look at the person, it's Raj,

"Don't worry wifey, I will be with you", wishpered Raj,

I smiled nervously and nodded my head in approval,

Raj took me towards a room, there were two chairs kept in the corner, I guess me and Raj have to sit there and my guess was right because Raj pulled me closer to those chairs and made me sit on the left one and he sit down on the other one,

After few seconds Mumma come with an elderly couple, they came near me and I stood up from my chair to touch their feet,

I took the blessings of the uncle and he kept his hand on my head and said,

"Dudho nahaao phulo phalo"

(may you shower with milk, blossom and grow like flower),

Then I bend to touch the feet of aunty she didn't let me touch her feet and hugged me and said,

"Kush raho beta",

(Stay happy child),

They both praise my beauty and complimented Mumma that she had chosen a master piece for her son which made me blush,

Similarly like them many more guests come to meet me, all of them praised me and my beauty accept only one couple, they were continuously taunting Mumma that their daughter is more worthy than me for Raj, but what Raj said to shut their mouth made me feel awesome,

"I agree with you uncle your daughter is great, but what to do, I found a precious gem for myself and I can't afford to lose her", Raj answered them politely and they both look at me with pure hatred in their eyes and fake smile on their lips,

Now I am getting ready in Riya's room because Karan had called and said that he coming to pick me for the , it's been only few hours I have stayed away from my parents and I already miss them very badly and very much excited to meet them,

But here not only me who is excited there is someone else who seems much more excited than me, I guess you all understood about whom I am talking, it's none other than else but Riya,

I heard the honking sound of Karan's car and Riya who was patiently sitting on the bed and was biting her nails rushed out of the room, I laughed witnessing her impatient behaviour just to meet my brother,

I also follow her to see what is she going to do next because the way she ran out of her room it seems like she will crushed Karan in a tight hug,

Riya stood up on the edge of the upper stairs while looking at the main gate impatiently, she didn't even realise that I am standing beside her waiting for her to move so that I can go down stairs,

"Uuuhuu uuuhuuu",

I coughed signalling her to be aware of my presence but she didn't even notice that, her gaze were still fixed on the entrance, I wonder what magic my brother have done on her,

I am enjoying this show so I decided to stay quiet and wait for her next move, she slowly started going down the staircase and I followed her quietly,

The moment Riya saw Karan and Kareena entering the house she increased her pace and went down quickly,

"H..hii", said Riya while waving her hand slightly,

"Hey", said Karan to Riya affectionately,

"Hi Di", said Kareena looking at me,

Finally at least someone is there to realise that I am also present here, unlike these two love birds who is busy in their own world,

Kareena came closer to me and hugged me tightly, I reciprocates her action and engulfed her in my arms,

"Di I am also here", said Karan complaining,

"Oh really! I thought you were busy on your own world with someone special", I said teasingly to Karan and then looked at Riya which makes her blush,

"Kareena do you realise one thing our brother is not even married and have already started ignoring us, I wonder what he will do once he will get married, I am sure he will forget us", I complained dramatically,

"NnnnNo Di you are getting it wrong", said Karan hesitantly while me and Kareena started laughing loudly,

"What's the matter why you guys are laughing?", Enquired Raj while coming to me,

"Nothing just pulling someone's leg and enjoying", I said,

"Ohh! I missed the opportunity", said Raj sadly,

"Don't worry our turn have come to take the revenge and we are not going to spare them", I said,

"Yes Di", replied Kareena,

"What yes, I am not going to leave you also, so be prepared", I warned her,

"Waah! proud of you wifey", said Raj proudly,

After few more chit chatting and teasing me, Karan and Kareena left from there,

I notice that Kareena's behaviour seems little bit different today, she is trying to act that she is okay but I can see that she is not, something is wrong with her, I don't know what is it, I will ask her about it whenever I will get the opportunity,

The moment Karan stopped the car I see my parents already standing on the main door,

Hurriedly I went out of the car and run towards them and hugged them together,

"Missed you a lot Mera bachha", said Paa,

"How are you Karuna?", Enquired Maa,

"I am fine Maa and I missed you too Paa", I answered both of them,

"You both will ask everything here on the main gate", said Karan interrupting our moment,

"And Di are you planning to go back from the main gate, seriously Di missing Jiju that much", said Karan,

"And you are really excited to drop me back soon, missing Riya that much", I backfired him and our parents started laughing loudly,

I once again notice Kareena standing beside Karan lost in her own world, here we are laughing madly and she didn't even smile, I wonder what happened to her, I nudged Karan and raised my eyebrows looking towards Kareena,

"I don't know Di maybe it's because of that envelope", wishpered Karan while we entered inside the house,

I looked at him questioningly and asked,

"What envelope?"

"Better you ask her yourself Di, even Maa and Paa are also worried because of sudden change in her behaviour", said Karan,

I hummed and nodded my head understandingly,

"Beta you must be feeling tired, Bhabhi ji informed me that because of the rituals you didn't get time to sleep whole night, I suggest you to take a short nap, I will wake you up after one hour", said Maa,

"No Maa, I came here to spend some time with you all, not to take a nap", I said,

"We have a lot of time beta and you need to rest, your wounds are not properly healed, so go and have some sleep beta, I promise I will wake you after one hour", Maa insisted again,

I think she is saying correct and I don't want to fall sick once again, so I agreed with her and went to my room to sleep,

The moment my head hit the pillow I fall in deep and much needed slumber,

Suddenly I heard a sound of someone's sobbing, I opened my eyes and my eyesight falls on the wall clock, I realise that I have been sleeping since last two hours and no one came to wake me, once again I heard similar voice of someone's sobbing and realised that it's coming from the balcony,

I stood up and went towards the balcony, I peeked inside and saw that Kareena is crying,

"Kareena, why are you crying?", I said while going closer to her,

She stood up and hugged me tightly and started crying even harder,

"Hey what happened baby, shhhh, shhhh, I am here, come with me", I tried to console her,

I took her inside the room and made her sit down on the bed and I sat down beside her, she rested her head on my lap and I started stroking her head lightly,

I don't know what is wrong with her, I feel sad looking at my sister like this, I don't know how much pain is left for her to bear,

"What happened Kareena, please tell me", I said,

Flashback

After Karan left I went inside the room and opened the envelope,

Inside the envelope I found a set of keys, I remember this is Rahul's apartment key but why he send these to me and that to inside an envelope,

I peeked inside the envelope once again and saw that there is also a paper inside it, I took out that paper and unfold it, I realise that it's a letter or a love letter, I blushed thinking that and started reading it,

I cried after reading his letter, I don't know why I am crying, I have always wanted my freedom and now when I have it, why I am crying, why I feel like I have lost something, something precious to me, is that precious thing is Rahul,

I picked up my cellphone and dialled Rahul's number,

'The number you are trying to reach is currently switched off'

Then I remember he wrote he is going to New York, I guess that's why his mobile is switched off and I don't have his New York contact number,

Flashback ends and back to Karuna's Pov

Kareena told me everything about that letter which Rahul had send,

"But I didn't understand one thing, why are you crying?", I asked,

"I don't know Di, I don't know, I want to talk to him", said Kareena,

"That's it, I am sure Raj must have his New York contact number, Don't worry I will ask him to send it to you", I said,

"Thank you Di", said Kareena,

I kissed her forehead and said,

"Don't ever cry like that, okay?",

She nodded her head in approval and hugged me tightly,

"Kareena", I said,

"Hmm Di", said Kareena,

"One more thing I want to say, give him a chance, he deserves it and you also deserve it", I said,

"I need some time to think about it", said Kareena,

"Okay, at the end it's only your decision, what you want and what not, no one will ever force you, I promise", I said,

After talking we both went downstairs to eat something and I scold my mom for breaking her promise, she didn't say anything just giggled,

Maa took me to her and gave me a gorgeous red colour saree,

"Waoo Maa this saree is so pretty", I said,

"You like it?", She asked,

"Obviously Maa", I said,

"Then what are you waiting for go wear it soon", she said,

I looked at her confusedly and asked,

"Now, why?"

"Because it's pretty", she said,

I became more confused and she started laughing,

"It's part of a ritual,", said Maa,

"Ohh! But Maa the saree which I am wearing is gifted by Mumma, she will not get hurt if I will change it?", I enquired,

"No beta she knows about this ritual, I had already informed her about it", said Maa,

I came back to my room and change my dress and I must say I am looking awesome, I planned to leave my hair loose, I applied red colour lipstick and some kohl in me eyes to complete my look,

"Knock knock"

I stood up to open the door,

"Good you are ready, Raj is here to pick you", said Maa,

We both went to the hall, I saw Raj wearing casual jeans and t-shirt, he is looking like a college going guy, I have never seen him in casuals before, I guess he is in leave that's why he is wearing casuals instead of formals, I sat down beside him,

"I must say my hubby is looking killer", I wishpered,

"I must say my wifey is looking sexy", Raj wishpered and I blushed,
