《The Life of a Wizard》The Cat's Out of the Bag

Jaune is walking through the mess hall when he notices Blake looking at her Scroll feverously.
'Wonder what's got her so focused.' Jaune walks up to the ninja. "Hi, Blake."
Blake yelps in surprise by the sudden sound and looks up. "O-Oh. Hi, Jaune."
Jaune tilts his head. "What's wrong, Blake? You look kind of paled."
"I-Its nothing." She reluctantly said.
Jaune, obviously not buying it, leans forward and looks at her Scroll. On it is a news report on the recent White Fang activity in the kingdom and how they are connected to the Dust robberies that have been happening lately.
"The White Fang? The terrorist organization? Is that what got you so worked up?" Jaune asked.
Blake's neck suddenly snaps to his direction as she sends him a glare. "They are not terrorists. They are misguided."
Jaune arches a blond eyebrow. "Misguided? Blake, they kill people and steal Dust. Some of their victims are actually Faunus who opposed them. Do you really think at that point they are just 'misguided'? They KNOW what they're doing and have to be stopped."
"They should be helped! You can't just lock them away because of the decisions of a few!" Blake rebukes.
"Then they should leave. If they know that what they're doing is wrong, they should leave the White Fang." Jaune counters.
"Its not that simple..."
"Yes it is!"
At this point, the atmosphere was so dense you can cut it with a knife. That is until a chuckle escaped from Jaune's lips.
"What's so funny?" Blake growled.
"Your ears perk up when you're mad. It's cute." Jaune comments.
Blake raises an eyebrow before her eyes widen and grabs her bow. "How did you know...?"
"Blake, bows don't just move on their own, not when there's no wind for them to move. Not to mention that, they would shift depending on your mood. Heck, right now the bow is stiffed indicating your shock." Jaune explains. "It doesn't take a genius to realize that your a Faunus. My question is why you'd go so far as to hide them from the world."
Blake looks at Jaune. "Promise me you won't tell anyone about this."

"I promise."
Blake sighs. "Before I came to Beacon, I was part of the White Fang. I pretty much grew up in there. We were supposed to be a movement that would give rise to equality, that we're more than our extra features. But after my father stepped down, the White Fang became violent, ruining lives instead of inspiring them. But no one was more affected more than my partner." She sobs. "He once kind and would fight for Faunus, but as time went on, he slowly became more violent and would lash out on anyone that wasn't in the White Fang. I couldn't take it anymore, and so when the opportunity arose, I left them."
"Are you alright?"
"No. The White Fang are out of control, as a former member, it is my duty to stop them. I just... I just don't know what to do when I see HIM again." Blake admits.
Jaune grabs her shoulder. "I'll protect you, don't you."
Blake looks at him and chuckles. "You clearly don't know what you're saying. He is ruthless, he is a monster is a sword, his Semblance allows him to absorb hits and redirect them back to his opponents. You will die before you can hurt him."
Jaune chuckles. "Trust me, Ozpin was worst."
Blake gives the white knight a weird look. "What does that mea-?"
"SO! Do you where the White Fang is right now?" Jaune suddenly asked.
"According to some reports, a sect of the White Fang are hiding in a warehouse at the Vale harbor. They are using it to move all of the Dust they have stolen to another unknown location." Blake states. "Originally, Sun and I were going to infiltrate the warehouse but he said something came up and can't come."
"Then I'll come in his place."
Blake eyes widened before she smiles. "Thank you, Jaune."
The White Fang are seen moving crates full of Dust into separate trucks when the sound of glass draws their attention and see Blake and Jaune falling and landing on one of the higher crates.
"Brothers and sisters of the White Fang. Why are you stealing Dust? Have you all forgotten what the White Fang stood for?" Blake asked.

"Well, this is quite the surprise. I did not expect you to come to me so soon..."
Blake recognizes the voice as she sees the form of Adam Taurus stepping out of the shadows.
"Hello, beloved. It's been a while." Adam smirks.
Blake takes a step back. "A-A-Adam!" No, he shouldn't have found her so soon! What is he doing here!?
Jaune looks at Adam and then back to Blake. "You didn't tell me your partner was Adam Taurus!"
"What's this, Blake? My replacement? You really would go so far that you would partner with a human." Adam scoffs. "I wouldn't expect anything else from you, coward."
"Adam, stop this! This isn't what the White Fang stands for!"
"WRONG! This is EXCATLY what the White Fang needs to do in order to show these filthy humans that we are the SUPERIOR race! I thought you of all people would understand that!" Adam exclaims.
"I didn't want this Adam! All I wanted is equality!" Blake counters.
"What you want is a lie! This world only responds to power, not words. But that okay... because all I want is you, Blake." Adam states.
White Fang soldiers begin to surround the two of them.
"Capture Blake. Kill the Huntsman." Adam ordered.
Blake and Jaune unsheathe their weapons. "What do we do now!? We can't fight all of them by ourselves."
Jaune thinks for a moment... and comes up with something.
"I have an idea so crazy, it just might work." Jaune whispers at her. "Do you trust me?"
Amber eyes stare at sapphire. "... yes."
Jaune smiles. "Thank you."
They then do something that leaves Adam and the rest of the White Fang shocked and confused.
As they dance, police cruisers and Atlas ships touch down on the harbor. As they prepare they see Jaune and Blake leading the mesmerized WF into the nearest Bullhead where they are all put in and taken away.
Everyone: (⊙.⊙(◉̃_᷅◉)⊙.⊙)
Jaune smirks. "Situation sorted."
"Now all that's else is to deal with Adam. But that would be harder than it sounds." Blake told him.
They begin to search the harbor until the noise of an automated vehicle catches their attention. They realize that the sound is getting closer and they what is causing it.
It was Adam... driving a forklift.
"Damn you, boy! You've ruined everything again!" Adam roars out.
"Not my fault your grunts are dumb." Jaune remarks
"Adam get off that forklift! You don't know how to operate it." Blake said.
"That's where you're wrong." Adam smirks and starts up the forklift.
"Welp, that was easy." Jaune remarks.
Blake collapses from all of the excitement. It's over... he's gone... the nightmare is over...
Blake then laughs.
"Blake? You alright." Jaune asks unsettled by the sudden fit of laughter.
Blake soon calms down. "I'm fine. It's just... I feel lighter than I've ever felt."
"It's natural to feel like that. It just means that you're finally ready to take that big step forward."
"You think so?" Blake asked.
"Yup." Jaune smiles.
Blake returns the smile with her own. "Thank you, Jaune. If there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask."
"Anything, you say? Well there is ONE thing that you can do for me." Jaune said.
"What is it?"
Jaune blushes. "Letmefeelyourears!"
Blake face goes atomic. "WHAT!?"
"It's just... I've always wanted to feel your ears. And I find it insulting that you would hide them under that bow of yours." Jaune explains.
Blake stares at Jaune like he grew a second head, but he saved her from Adam so its the least she can do.
After a couple of minutes of headpats, Jaune was satisfied.
"That was amazing. Your ears are so soft." Jaune praised.
"T-Thank you." Blake stutters.
"Well, we should probably head back before everyone starts to tear the city apart." Jaune said as he walks back to Beacon.
Blake puts her hand on her head and lets out a tiny "eep". No one's ever patted her head before, not even Adam.
This is bad. Very bad.
"I have to tell Mom about this." Blake whispers. "I know Jaune can take the responsibility."

Author Notes
And then there was one.
You're likely wondering why Blake is making such a big deal over Jaune touching her ears. Can you guess why?
One thing's for sure, Jaune is gonna have a lot on his plate.
As always, leave a comment. They are greatly appreciated.
Peace~

Primal Adaptation
The story of a little soul that ends up tangled in the games and bets of entities that utilize beasts of any primordial planet as a game avatar to make the Perfect Primal. This tale is not only its story because it will also share its destiny with the entity that will help it in its journey, and together they will rise from their particular situations one way or another. Primal Adaptation is a history with some RPG elements in it, but the MC can't look at a status screen or skill page because it's a beast through and through. I have implemented an evolution system for all the creatures of this story, where they grow or mutate depending on what they consume. In this tale, you won't find a Deus ex machina to give the protagonist power-ups. Everything must be learned and comprehended before its use unless it's something it gets immediately, or the abilities get understood by instinct. In essence, it is survival and gambit for opportunities, be it from one MC or the other.

To The Far Shore
Post apocalyptic Oregon Trail. The apocalypse has come and gone. And come back again, and left again... nobody really knows how often. Nothing lasts forever, but nothing is ever completely gone. Which is a shame for young Mazelton, as his family has been around a terribly long time, and made an astonishing amount of enemies. Millenia's worth. So he has to run- from mobs, cannibals, soldiers, sailors, cholera, cattle, thieving sales-monks, starvation, mechanical horrors, vengeful spirits, negotiating your own marriage, and poison of every sort. Fortunately, his not terribly nice family has trained him well in the arts of core polishing. Or as you and I might know it- turning radioactive pellets into useful tools. And weapons. Updates Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Usual defensive tags applied. The goal isn't exactly family friendly, but you have probably seen worse on network TV. After the watershed. Not full blown HBO, let's say. This is the first novel I am sharing publicly, so feedback is very much appreciated and encouraged. Act 1 of the novel is completed, but do please let me know what works, what doesn't, and what you would like to see more of. Thank you, and Enjoy!
