《The Life of a Wizard》An Achilles' Heel
Advertisement
Pyrrha Nikos has been called many things in her short time on Remnant.
A prodigy.
The Invincible Girl.
Champion of Mistral.
But right now, she is the partner of Jaune Arc.
A boy that, for all intents and purposes, would not make it as a Huntsmen. Yet when she locked eyes on him for the first time, she knew there was untapped potential inside him, potential that wanted to be unleashed. But most of all, he made her feel something that she hasn't felt in her entire life.
He made her feel like a girl.
It was something she hadn't felt in... forever and it made her happy. He made her feel normal.
'"Is this love?" Pyrrha asked herself. "Am I falling in love with him?"
Since then she has been trying to get Jaune to notice her feelings, but the blonde knight was either too dense to notice or... preoccupied with a certain someone.
Still it would be nice to get noticed for once.
"Here we go Jaune. Today is the big day." I told myself as I through the garden.
After the bombshell that the Headmaster dropped on me, I wasn't sure about how to react. To think Pyrrha Nikos, the Invincible Girl, the top student in Beacon, and the spokesperson for Punkin' Pete has a crush on me.
Me!? The fraud and dead last of Beacon!?
Its, and pardon my language, a bit of a mindfuck to process. Why would she be interested in me of all people!? It doesn't make any sense. But then again since coming to Beacon, nothing's been making sense.
Especially its headmaster, Professor Ozpin.
The guy is a wizard, like an actual wizard with magic and stuff. And to top it all off, he is immortal! Then there's that weird faunus everyone's been talking about, how he always seems to pop out of nowhere only to then disappear in the blink of an eye.

Like a watchdog.
"I hope he's right about this..." I walk up to a big open area and the first thing I see is Pyrrha looking out the window, watching the birds come and go.
Pyrrha looks up and her signature smile adores her face. "Welcome back Jaune." She walks towards me.
"Hey Pyr..." God, she is so pretty. How the hell did I never notice this before? "Where's Ren and Nora?"
Nora went out to hunt for sloths and Ren went to make sure she didn't get into trouble." Ah so business and usual. Aside from pancakes and breaking legs, hunting sloths is probably Nora's favorite pastime. That or killing Grimm.
I still don't understand how Ren manages to tolerate her, let alone keep her in check.
"So its just the two of us..." I said.
"Yes, yes it is..."
'Gods, this is awkward. Come on Jaune, tell her what you need to say!'
"Hey, Pyrrha?" I call out.
"Yes?" Pyrrha said.
I take a deep breath. "I was thinking if, you know, you'd like to-"
"YES!" Pyrrha suddenly exclaims. Then, she realizes what she did and blushes from the embarrassment. "I'm sorry!"
Its okay," I told her. "But like I was going to say is if you'd like to come to Vale with me today."
Pyrrha smiles. "That sounds lovely."
"Alright, its a date!" I just realized what I just said and blush flailing my arms around. "N-not like that! I-it's not a date-date, its a friend date where you go out with someone!" I did it again. "Dammit!"
Pyrrha just giggles.
After watching a movie, going to a restaurant, and going karaoke, Pyrrha and I are sitting on a bench in the park watching the sunset.

"Thank you Jaune. I had a wonderful time." Pyrrha said.
"Yeah, me too. Though I can't believe we got kicked out of karaoke because your singing." Yeah, turns out Pyrrha is very tone deaf. Her singing was so bad that the manager demanded that we leave the building because we were disturbing the other customers.
Pyrrha blushes from embarrassment. "I'm sorry!"
I smile. "Its fine, I thought your singing was beautiful."
Pyrrha blushes like crazy. 'He... he thinks my singing was beautiful!?'
"Hey, Jaune?"
"Hm?"
"Do you love me?"
I blush madly at the question. Pyrrha is a wonderful girl, the best girl I know. She has been by my side since the beginning and there's no one I would rather have as a partner.
There's only one answer.
"Yeah... I do." I said out loud. "I love you, Pyrrha."
In response, Pyrrha leans and kisses me. It seemed like time has stopped for us and I didn't want to let her go.
We stop kissing and look at each other. "I guess this means we're dating now."
Pyrrha smiles. "Yes."
I watch from my Scroll as Jaune completed his first conquest flawlessly.
I take a sip from my mug. "Congratulations Jaune, but this was just too easy." I smirk. "The next conquest will be more difficult, that I can promise."
At that moment Glynda comes in with a stack of papers in hand. "Sir, I need you to sign these-"
"Get out!" I throw my cane and other crap at her, promptly her to quickly close the elevator doors.
Author Notes
One down, five to go.
A bit different from the usual crap I write here but not unwelcomed.

The Last Orellen (An Epic Progression Fantasy)
According to prophecy, the ninth-born child of Lord Orellen will have the sort of power that changes the world. But in a land ruled by mage families, no one welcomes the possibility of a dangerous new player. Fearful even of their allies, the Orellens come up with an extraordinary and deadly scheme to protect themselves. If the most powerful sorcerers in the world wish to kill the ninth-born, they will have to find him or her first. And that's not going to be easy when the Orellens have called upon dark magic to create hundreds of heirs. The boys and girls are given new bodies, new names, and even new magical talents before they are scattered across the continent. Only one among them is the real ninth, but all of them will have to grow up in a world where they are fugitives. Kalen, once fated to die, is now an Orellen heir in hiding. And he is determined to survive, even if he has to master his strange new powers to do it. The Last Orellen is a long, character-focused progression fantasy set in a vast universe about a boy's journey to become a powerful mage. Reviews are deeply appreciated. Please do not repost my work elsewhere without my written permission. What type of reader is this book for? You might enjoy The Last Orellen if you like... Clever and resourceful protagonists. Big fantasy worlds. Multiple cultures, lots of characters, many different types of magic--this story is expansive rather than closely focused on a narrow storyline. Progression fantasy that takes its time. Our main character will be progressing through magical ranks, but this is going to be a lengthy story. If you're more about the journey than the destination, this might be the book for you. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

A Slip Of The Force
During the New Sith Wars, The Black Sun, worried about their business goes about investing large resources into a project they dubbed Harbinger; to act as the safe guard against the Jedi, Sith and other syndicates that would be intent on removing them from power, if the opportunity shows itself. As such they created a one of kind killing machine, made up of some of the most dangerous races in the known galaxy. But due to unknown sabotage their plans are ruined and their organisation set back centuries in the many plans. Follow this entity on it's journey through the galaxy, as it stumbles upon one mess after another and tries to find its purpose in this vast galaxy. This is my own little star wars fantasy and wish fulfilment so don't come expecting overly complex plots and fully fleshed out galaxy. Hopefully I will be able to make this fun. Also I won't be decribing the species often, so you're going to have to look them up yourself. There are just too many to constantly be describing them beyond their garb.

Aeternalis
One born of nothingness. A world born of everything. To return all to nothing. Or surrender to everything. A man born into an infinite world, trying to find his path to the top. Trials and tribulations come from friends and foes alike until all bow before him. ------------------------------------- Author here! This is my 3rd story on RoyalRoad, the other two having long since been dropped years ago. They were a mess of ideas and had no real substanence to them, leading me to begin hating writing them and eventually just stop writing altogether for about a year and a half. Finally, after reading hundreds of thousands of pages of novels, from low fantasy to sci-fi litrpg's to thousands of pages long xianxias, I finally feel ready to write a real story that isn't a cesspool of ideas blended together. I plan to see this out to the end, as I already have the first few major arcs planned out unlike my other stories where I thought of ideas as I wrote. This story takes place in a world with a litrpg system, as per tags. This isn't a VRMMO or Reincarnation story. The main character exists in and is from said world. There are some differences from other litrpg's which will be explained in author notes in the few few chapters. I plan to publich 6-7 chapters a week, each 2-3k words long. If i fail to do so I will create a back-log I have to eventually make up but as of writing this it's the summer for me so I'll have plenty of time to write. Enjoy, and welcome to the world of Aeternalis.

Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. His eyes were different, lacking something they had always held before, lacking anything really, and yet he was the same. He looked weak, but I knew he wasn't. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons. Not a YA novel (again).**Due to disturbing themes, violence, depression, language and literally everything else, this is not for the kids. Ghosts is darker than Intentions. But you need to live in the dark to appreciate the light...or at least, the lighter grays 🖤🖤
