《The Life of a Wizard》Justice for Velvet

"So..." I began. On the other of my desk are none other than Jaune Arc and Cardin Winchester. Cardin is in a sorry state; with bruises and such. I take a sip of my mug and smile, "who wants to go first?"
Jaune saw Team CRDL harassing a second-year student, a rabbit faunus named Velvet Scarlatina. Long story short, he makes quick work of them thanks to his special training.
"And, and? What happened next?" I asked.
"Well, that's where..." Jaune gulped. "You showed up, sir."
I kick the cafeteria doors in like a boss. "Yo!" I walk around like I own the place which, technically, I do. Everyone just stares at the Headmaster as he taps his cane with every step and then notices the three students on the other end.
"What's going on over here?" I point my finger at the three.
"Nothing, sir. Just teaching this filthy faunus and this dead-last their place." Cardin answered with a big smile on his face.
"Really?" I turn to Jaune. "And what about you, Mr. Arc?"
Jaune looks at me nervously before opening his mouth. "W-well... I saw Cardin bullying her and I just couldn't stand for it."
"And why is that?"
"Because its wrong?" Jaune said skeptically.
"Quite right."
"Oh come on." Cardin said and pulls harder on Velvet's ears. "Are you really telling me that you would protect this filthy animal over your fellow men."
"And why is that such a bad thing, Mr. Winchester?" I asked. "We are all Huntsmen here and as Huntsmen it is our duty to protect life; all life."
"But they're animals, Headmaster, they don't deserve to live."
Everyone in the cafeteria gives Cardin the stink-eye.

I take a sip of my mug which just magically appeared in my hand. "Very well." I then bash Cardin with said mug, surprising the students.
"Wh-what the hell!?" Cardin yells as the blow shatters his Aura.
"Its called karma, Mr. Winchester. Now clench your teeth." I punch Cardin in the gut, causing the boy to double over in pain. Wasting no time, I proceed to bash Cardin with my cane a bunch times, leaving him with bruises and such.
"You... bastard!" Cardin cried out in pain.
"I'll keep this brief..." I crouch down to meet Cardin's eye level. "I do not tolerate racism in my school. No matter the option, this is simply unacceptable behavior for a Huntsman."
"B-But..."
"Let me put it in a language that you can understand." My words become more casual. "I absolutely racists fucks like you. The only reason you're even here now is because we don't do psychological evaluations, otherwise you would have been rejected a long time ago." Emerald Aura begins to surround my body in a menacing manner.
Cardin nods frantically.
"Good, now get out of my sight." Cardin immediately picks himself up rushes out of the cafeteria with his team in toe.
With a sigh, I turn to the two students. "Are you alright?"
Jaune and Velvet nods.
I pat Velvet's head and smile. "I'm just glad you're alright."
A pink line appears on Velvet's face.
I can't help but internally squeal at the cute sight. 'No one messes with my bunny.'
"Umm... headmaster? Why did you want us to recount a story you were there for?" Jaune asked.
"Simple, Mr. Arc. I just wanted to give our audience some context." I hum.
"Okay...? But why bring Cardin here?"

"Dramatic effect." I take a sip of my mug.
Cardin scoffs, "well if there's nothing else, I'm going back to the nurse's office."
"Not so fast, Mr. Winchester. There is another reason for your presence here." Glynda walks in. "Glynda here wants impart some of her wisdom about how you should treat your fellow classmates." I take a sip of my mug. "Glynda, if you please?"
With a beautiful smile, Glynda uses her Semblance to lift Cardin up and proceeds to take him to her office to impart her... "wisdom" on the misguided youth.
...yeah, he's never coming back.
"Umm... so can I go now?" Jaune asks.
"In due time, Mr. Arc. I would first like to know your progress on paying my bill." I told him.
"It's... good?" Jaune said.
"..."
"..."
"Get your shit together, Arc." I deadpanned.
Jaunes looks down in shame. "...yes, sir."

Vast Asleep
The story of Kingard the Binder in the aftermath of Broken This short story is the epilogue of Broken, the second book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. It’s a great follow-up to the novel, a bonus story that adds extra layers but is set apart from the full-length narrative. Vast Asleep follows the story of Kingard, who finds himself caught in a world called Mother's realm, bathed in glowing light but strangely stuck in place. He encounters his greatson Varyan there, and learns that his experiences are likely dreams. As he grows more accustomed to the loving realm around him, Kingard remembers fear and trepidation about the face of the world, and he loses contact with his companion. This story answers the question, Is Kingard really dead? with a tentative no, and new mysteries brewing. It also raises the question, What's happening while he's awake? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Ride Awake, about Kingard's situation with the Colkh'rak. Praise for Tales of the Known World Bookends: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between the epilogue and prologue is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well. -- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★

Of Righteous Evil
To wield the magical Arts. The power to manipulate nature itself. Follow Silas on his journey as he learns what it means to be a Mage. With war brewing on the horizon, Silas' plan to become a hero clashes with the harsh reality of conflict. Torn between contradicting emotions, he will have to reconsider his perceptions of both good and evil. Does the end truly never justify the means? Note from author (13.09.20): Sentences have been shortened, less commata used. Paragraphs have been split up. Meant to be "realistic" fantasy, with no overpowered protagonist or evil sorcerer trying to destroy the world. The focus lies on the characters, their progressions and their inner conflicts, coupled with an intricate magic system. Constructive criticism is highly appreciated! HIATUS Updates: 12.12.20 Chapter 1 & 2 are written together. The backstory of the parents will be integrated into one of the later chapters. 20.12.20 Prologue has been rewritten, fight added. Will now continue writing the chapters until the first arch is finished. 19.01.21 Chapter 15 is written. Will hopefully be able to write more from now on, university has been kinda rough these days. 08.04.21 Chapter 16 & 17 has been written. Beginning will be rewritten (again) to start with chapter 3. Chapter 1 & 2 will be shown through reocurring dreams / nightmares. 10.08.21 Rewriting of the first arc is complete and has been proofread twice. Plot of rest of book one is 80% complete. Will publish chapters once first book is finished and proofread. 06.12.21 Second arc is finished (chapter 24/31-33). First draft will likely be finished around February, after which I will edit a few suggestions of my beta readers and publish it on RR. Release schedule: Once a week on Sunday, chapters are around 3000 words long. (HIATUS, see last chapter for more info) Cover art by Riverman09

Cursebreaker
I'm not writing this anymore unfortunately, and I probably won't ever continue it. I guess writing is more difficult than I thought Reto Mason woke up on a mountain, and it was all downhill from there. Until they hit floor, at which point I'm surprised they didn't die to be honest. That is, they didn't die yet. We'll see what happens This is a LitRPG which does have levels and stats, but is more focused on Accomplishments, although expect some more classic RPG stuff in the future. The main focus is on skills, and skill modification/evolution in that regard. Expect some weird 4th dimension stuff eventually, and the weird things that come from there.
