《War》Wear your Tragedies as Armor, not Shackles

Red irises stared blankly at the raging sea underneath her feet, her frown increasing while the strong wind helped the salt water to clash against her body, her bright red hair clinging to her face from the sweat of her previous training.
The dark gray sky brightened as the lightning painted it down, meeting the turbulent waters with a loud sound, everything seemed beautiful when looking from the high cliff that she was.
But then again, all of the beautiful things are found in chaos.
The sudden change in the air made the goddess' grim face turn into a wicked grin, her lowered head tilting to the side, making her bright locks shadow her features as her eyes turned deeper, darker, scarier.
"You have to adjust the length of your release, it'll provide a few more feet per second" Ares suddenly said, looking at the hooded figure holding the bow and arrow, making her release it, while she just took it in her left hand.
The goddess rolled her eyes and quickly pulled back and extended her hand, sending the arrow with incredible speed towards the same woman, pinning her cloak tightly to the tree.
"Foolish little sister, you should know better than to have someone attack me with your little toys" Ares taunted, standing up from the ground and calmly walking towards the woman.
"Now... why don't you come out and talk to me like a civilized person?" The goddess of war finished, standing some feet away from the fearful woman who was trying desperately to take the arrow off her.
The powerful sound of synchronized footsteps turned Ares' smirk into a wide crazy smile, her eyes quickly counting down the female warriors before they narrowed down at the leader.
"You didn't attend the meeting last night. Why didn't you show up?" Artemis demanded, pointing the arrow at Ares' heart, her fingers pressing tightly against the silver material as she looked at the ginger with a tense posture, while Ares continued to rock on her feet, her fingers twitching in anticipation.

"Ohh I'm so sorry, didn't know you were expecting to have a heart to heart with your big sis!" Ares mocked, bringing her hand to her chest with a fake pout.
"Since you were so worried, I'll be more careful from now on. Now, I must ask you to leave, you know how I can get when I feel... pressured" Ares continued, her smile turning into a deadly glare while she stared down at her half sister.
"It's regarding the stolen lighting last night" Artemis stated, ignoring Ares' warning.
"How unfortunate, I really haven't seen it at all recently. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if the lightning decided to take a walk on the park to get some minutes away from father."Artemis clenched her jaw in annoyance, her fingers turning a white color as she put more strength into it.
"I see... what an incredible coincidence that the same day you don't show up, the lightning is stolen" Artemis pressed, taking a step back when she noticed the red sparks leaving Ares's fists.
"Why don't you just come out and say it?" The goddess of war asked seriously, not even noticing how her hands were heating up with her anger, her eyes glaring at the hunters of Artemis with a very well known rage, her rage was something that the gods and goddesses always tried to shut down, to hide, to control, to domesticate like it's done to animals.
And this... this made Ares even more angry, the hatred seemed to have poisoned the blood orbs. The disgust on her sister's face seemed to have wakened the wild animal that was trying to break free.
Her hands were now surrounded by a red mist, that slowly crawled towards the huntresses, the weaker ones immediately fell to the ground, holding their heads tightly in their hands as the scene of their worst fears killing them started to overpower their sanity.
Their screams were so loud that the once peaceful sound of the waves and the wind were long forgotten, the crystal waters seemed to notice the bloodbath, turning into a dark color that hid everything that was happening under it.

The storm seemed to intensify with the wrath emanating from Ares, it wouldn't be a surprise if the cities nearby noticed it, even the goddess of the hunt seemed to have trouble regaining her mind as Ares poured every single dark thought that she had ever imagined.
Twin swords formed in her hands, the golden material turning a glowing red as she, unconsciously, used her powers on them, making the blades even more dangerous as the heat made the cuts even more painful.
Larynx, spine, lungs, liver, jugular, subclavian artery, kidneys, heart, quick deaths, it was clear to anyone that she wanted to end the small threats fast and go right to the main person, Artemis.
Ares wasn't thinking, she relied only on her predatory side, the pain of the silver arrows against her body barely slowed her movements, the adrenaline was too much for it to stop her, not until there was only Artemis and herself.
Her twin swords vanished in the air, showing her signature spear, Ares cracked her neck and the arrows that were still on her body fell to the ground.
From her wounds flowed no mortal blood, but ichor, the golden liquid was the only proof that she was hurt, for she didn't show any grimace while walking with powerful steps towards her sister, who seemed to be afraid for the first time in centuries.
"It's always "The Gods this", or the "The Gods that"... it's foolish to fear what we've yet to see or comprehend! You all... acting superior because of your species... because of your powers... like you're any better than I am!" Ares shouted, slamming her spear against Artemis' to which she narrowly avoided.
"Like I'm some kind of animal that needs to be put down, go on, sister! I dare you! But you can't, can you? I feed on conflict. Until today I'd been starving. I sensed the return of aggression, and sought its cause, I'll only get stronger while you get weaker, what a poor excuse of a god you're" Ares hissed, stabbing Artemis' stomach rather harshly before she took out the spear, ready to finish her.
"Sister! Stop this already!" Aphrodite suddenly appeared behind her, hugging her back while she sobbed at the horrific scene in front of her, her shaky hands desperately holding Ares back as Artemis cowered away from her.
Ares fell to the ground, screaming as Aphrodite tried to eliminate her anger, holding her hair between her fingers as the emotions started to overpower her.
Ares's green orbs met Aphrodite's, panting heavily, before she sighed, tears pouring from her eyes and hands into fists before she looked down at the ground and made her spear disappear.
"It was not I who stole the lightning, but for the words I said and for my actions, I deeply apologize" Ares whispered softly, her gaze completely focused on the ground, until she felt Artemis' presence vanish.
Ares' head snapped to the side, glaring at Aphrodite with her glowing red irises, making the goddess of love gasp, immediately letting her go and crawling back as if the ginger's skin burned.
"You have interrupted me once again, dear sister. An incorrect decision, there, to side against me thus. Blood needs be shed, if you insist in protecting them, yours is going to suffice."

Hellooooo, my dearies!
I deeply apologize for taking so long in writing this chapter, I've been passing through a series of changes in my life and it didn't really give me much time to write anything.
I really hope y'all like this chapter and continue reading Ares' story, personally, I can't wait for the time when she encounters Mikael 😏
Well, I'd love if you read my other story, , too! It's my first original story and I'm really excited to show it to y'all! Give it a chance, will ya?!
Now, if you excuse me, I have to make sure my baby Ares is okay and didn't kill anyone else, see you soon!

DarkBoi69's mediocre, rushed and badly-written aventure
Follow DarkBoi69's edgy adventure as I move him through a shitty plot where he meets terribly-written characters like angry evil stupid villains and naive cute useless busty women. This story is not really an actual serious story but simply a writing exercise for me to focus on overall writing speed, forcefully insert some writing in my everyday life to increase productivity and most importantly help with turning ideas, thoughts or feelings into writing directly without feeling blocked, hopefully trying to achieve something as close as possible to writing unconsciously what i’m thinking about. I'll probably try to do something like writing as much in 30 mins as I can, nearly every-day. So far I've only done this once and it already seems like a pretty good thing to do. I don’t have anything planned and that’s probably going to be a constant for every one of these exercises, so it’ll end up being not very good (although maybe better than it has any right to be? ) and nonsensical.

The first edition credited the work's protagonist Robinson Crusoe as its author, leading many readers to believe he was a real person and the book a travelogue of true incidents. Epistolary, confessional, and didactic in form, the book is presented as an autobiography of the title character (whose birth name is Robinson Kreutznaer)-a castaway who spends twenty-eight years on a remote tropical desert island near Trinidad, encountering cannibals, captives, and mutineers, before ultimately being rescued.
