《War》Conversations with Persephone

I asked Persephone,
"How could you grow to love him?
He took you from flowers to a kingdom
Where not a single living thing can grow."
Persephone smiled,
"My darling, every flower on earth withers.
What Hades gave me was a crown
Made for the immortal flowers in my bones"
—————————————————————
"Mars, darling! What a pleasant surprise!" Persephone said with a wide smile, her chocolate eyes were shining with warmth, probably being the brightest thing on Hell.
Ares' eyes snapped down from her place on the roof, she liked watching the souls around their castle, in deep suffering, always and forever.
"Oh, Persephone, I'm sorry I was just watching" Her emerald green eyes looked at the woman with a small frown, how could she always be so gentle to someone like her?
Persephone giggled, appearing beside Ares as she sat down next to the warrior, not caring that her long golden dress would get dirty.
"What's on your mind, child?" Persephone asked, seeing that Ares had a lost expression on her eyes, she had observed the red haired beauty for long centuries to know how Ares always had a war going inside her head.
The corner of Ares' lips turned slightly upwards, returning her gaze to the lost souls as she muttered "You do know that I'm older than you, right?"
"Nonsense, you have the soul of a child" Persephone dismissed, giving the warrior a wide grin as she messed with her hair.
"A child, huh? That's a new one..." Ares whispered to herself with a small smile, making Persephone's grin widen.
"But what is this about? You only come here when you have to think or when you're plotting with Hades" the brunette said, turning her hand around as a dark rose started to form on it, before she put it on Ares' red hair.

"Tell me, Persephone... if Zeus wanted you to be his queen, would you leave Hades?" Persephone hummed, a knowing look on her face, before she shook her head.
"No, Hades gave me things that no one ever could, he's not evil, he's just... lonely and differently from Zeus, he chose me, I was his first choice, I wasn't a simple nymph in his eyes, I was a queen! No... I was his queen" Persephone explained.
"He allowed me to rule with him and not just stand by his side as a trophy, he was patient, he allowed me to be with my mother when I was sad, he showed me a side of him that he doesn't show to anyone! So no... I wouldn't leave him for Zeus nor for Poseidon"
Persephone stood up from her position, putting her hand out for the other one to take as she smirked.
"Want my opinion?" Ares hesitated for a moment, sighing softly as she nodded her head.
"You know what Zeus is doing, don't you?" Immediately, green eyes turned blood red, making Persephone smile widely.
"I think you've been Mars for too long, show him the true wrath of Ares, we both know that you're hiding your true face, Ares..." Persephone laughed, seeing the smirk rising on the ginger's face.
"It was your plan all along wasn't it? Convincing everyone that this darkness was necessary, that it was the only way to survive, to grow stronger than those who hurt you... I've lived long enough to see the differences between you and Hades" Persephone whispered, leaning on Ares' shoulder as the other tilted her head, looking at her above her shoulder.
Persephone's mouth was next to Ares' ear as she continued whispering "It consumed your mind, your heart, your soul... you let that power in, you let it ruin every vein and this made your eyes as red as the blood of those you've tortured, why don't you tell me the truth, sister?"

Ares' eyes seemed to glow on the darkness of the underworld, her smirk twisting into a cruel one, one that she hadn't used for a long time, as she said "What do you want me to say, sister? That I enjoy the fear in their eyes? The screams of the crowd? Hahahahaha I don't enjoy it, I love it! I need it!"
Persephone giggled, letting go of her sister as she twirled around, looking at the souls just like Ares was doing.
"Can you tell me what you felt when you welcomed the dark?" Ares saw the pure curiosity shining on her warm chocolate eyes and contemplated for a while, crossing her arms in front of herself.
"It felt... unbelievably right" Persephone hugged her older sister before she appeared again in front of the castle.
"I think it's time for you to go, big sister! It's almost the time you show everyone how a great liar you are, Hades told me I can accompany him when your plan is over, I can't wait!" Persephone entered the castle giggling, making Ares smile amused at her antics... of course she knew, after all, Persephone was always curious about the dark.

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
