《War》Doubt is a killer

"... okay, tell me what's going on" Niklaus said as he laid down on the bed of the hotel room he had compelled to them, looking at the tense goddess that was pacing around the room.
"The doppelgänger is alive" Ares blurted as she reappeared beside him, laying her head against the headboard as she waited for his reaction.
"So that's why my hybrids failed" the original vampire muttered, looking at the ceiling as he thought about everything that had happened on the past months.
"Possibly" Her answer was short and her eyes traveled to the window, noticing the dark clouds that started to form, lightning started to form on the sky, making a dark expression cross her face as she abruptly stood up and closed the curtain.
"What's the other thing that is troubling you, love?" Niklaus asked in concern, noticing that she wasn't any less tense after she told him about Elena.
Ares hesitated for a moment, letting out a deep sigh as she fell again on the bed, making Klaus pull her closer, with her head on his chest as he played with her red locks.
Flashback
Ares walked around the Olympus with a angry glare on her face, a bat in her hands as she swung it at the statues and frames, breaking everything around her.
"Playing hide and seek now, Father?" She shouted angrily, spatting venomously the last word as she continued to look for Zeus.
"So the most powerful God is too scared to show his face to his daughter after he tried to lock her in the Tartarus, you Coward!" She continued shouting as she got to the common room.
It was filled with the other gods, making her snark at them, her deep red eyes glaring daggers as she made her spear appear on her hand, making them all tense up as they looked at her.
In the middle of the room stood Zeus with a scowl on his face as he looked down at his heir and beside him Hera, who was looking at her child in disapproval.
Ares' ferocious gaze fell on her mother, a maniac laughter falling from her lips as she walked closer to them, opening her arms wide as she looked at the other gods and goddesses, smirking as they started to get up and leave.

She gave a long whistle, making the twins appear near her and block the door of the room, making everyone stop moving.
"And where do you think you're going, huh? No one leaves this room until I say so, or I will hunt you down!" She shouted, making everyone besides Zeus, Hades and Poseidon flinch.
"I want to know who agreed to this beautiful plan to lock me up and torture me... actually, I know pretty well who was behind this little stunt!" The goddess seemed to have lost her mind, her breathing was hard as she glared at each of them, making the wolves growl too.
"Uncle Poseidon, Hades, you may leave if you want. I'm pretty sure you're both smart enough to not cross my path" she said, looking at them from the corner of her eyes.
Poseidon immediately left the place, but Hades stood with a smirk on his face, making his throne appear behind him as he sat down "Oh I wouldn't lose this, child"
Ares replied with her own smirk, before she turned to Zeus again.
"Now now, Father... I didn't think you'd be stupid enough to leave just those monsters there, you couldn't possibly have underestimated me that much"
In less than a second, the spear that was on her hand flew into Hera's chest, making the goddess scream as she fell to the ground, trying to pull the spear out.
Ares closer her hand in a fist, making the spear twist inside of her mother, making Hera's screams even louder, but the goddess of war had her gaze locked on her father's.
"I may not be able to kill you yet, but I can sure as hell make you suffer" she tilted her head and one part of her army appeared, in their arms were demigods, children of the siblings that had betrayed her, making them all gasp and look warily at her.
"And you! Take this as an example of what is going to happen if you ever betray me again, I'll hunt you and your sons and daughters until the world forgets who you're!" Just as she said that, her army killed all the weakened demigods, making the goddess' smirk widen.
Cries could be heard around the room as well as angry shouts as they went towards their children.

"Now now, don't cry, siblings! I have another surprise for you!" She exclaimed, making sure that her spear was still inside of her mother, before she turned to them again.
"You see, I'm pretty sure that some lesser species wouldn't have won against me and actually capture me, so I have an idea of what really happened! Anyone wants to hear my theory?" She asked, pacing around the room as the gods started to look at each other in fear.
"Oh I would love to know, my dearest niece!" Hades exclaimed as he grinned evilly at Ares, laughing as the others glared at him, making Ares laugh.
"A spell! Strong enough to make me weak, subtle enough that I shouldn't feel it, any ideas of who would be able to perform it, Uncle?" She asked with a smirk on her face as she leaned against Hades throne.
The god mocked a contemplating face, putting his hand on his chin as his eyes locked on the fearful goddess that was looking pleadingly at him.
"Hecate of course, child" he spoke darkly, remembering the times that she had conspired against him too, making Ares clap her hands with a playful grin as she went closer to the goddess.
"Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner!" Ares appeared behind Hecate in a flash, pulling the goddess' hands behind as her right foot kicked her back hard, making Hecate stumble to the ground screaming and crying as her arms continued on Ares' hands.
"Oh you won't be needing them, sweetheart" she said, throwing both arms to the twins as they happily started to eat them.
She rose her right hand in the air and her spear went flying to it, making Hera gasp in pain, weakly standing up.
"I don't recall giving you permission to stand, mother..." Ares spoke calmly, making the goddess freeze. In a swift move, Hera's head was on Ares' hand, Zeus quickly moving to hold her body as it started to fall.
"Mmm... I like you more when you're quiet, mother" she said and threw Hera's head to her father, making him snarl at her.
"Oh dear, have I made THE Zeus angry?" She spoke, mocking fear, before she started to laugh loudly.
"This was your last warning, Zeus. If you try anything against me again, I'll kill everyone! Mother dearest will live, unfortunately, but believe me when I say this... I'll find a way to permanently kill you, do not underestimate me!" She shouted again, making Zeus glare at her before he started to smirk.
"Do you think that after killing us Aphrodite will stand by your side? Or that little vampire of yours? What was his name again? Damon? Your "son"?" He laughed at her, getting closer as he looked down at his daughter with a frown on his face, softly putting his hand on her cheek.
"What about the hybrid? Niklaus... why do you think he's still with you, Ares? Don't tell me that you actually believe he loves you" he mocked a sad face, caressing her cheek as she clenched her jaw.
"Oh no daughter, he's only using you! Listen to me, child, he'll betray you too, no one can possibly love a monster..." Ares was shaking in rage now, but kept her mouth shut as her eyes continued locked on her father's.
Zeus took a step closer to her, and leaned down until his mouth was beside her ear, chuckling softly he whispered "Don't you think that his friendship with your sister is a little too... strong?"
Ares tensed up at this, making her dad smirk as he slowly pulled her to his chest, hugging her rigid body as he continued "Don't be naive, little warrior" he spoke quietly, making her red eyes change back to its emerald green ones.
"Ares? Ares? ARES!" Strong arms shook the goddess, making her snap out of her memories and put a fake smile on her face.
"Sorry, Nik... I was only thinking that it's been too long since we had some time alone" she purred, kissing his neck slowly before she straddled him, making his worried face change into a sexy smirk, firmly placing his hands on her hips.
"Mmm... I think we still have some free time, love" he muttered and she smirked and leaned down to kiss him.

46 Year Old Syndrome
The daily Litrpg journal of a fairly average 46 year old man in a world where hundreds of thousands of people suddenly have a super power.Follow him as he learns skills, runs away a lot, suffers crippling headaches, avoids reading his titles, and tries to avoid breaking his body that didn't get enough calcium and vegetables.[Disclaimer 1: Despite the following, I will fix any typos pointed out. This is a writing exercise so chapters are mostly first drafts, otherwise I'd end up rewriting each chapter for a month or more with no real changes. My goals are a steady output by not using perfectionism as a procrastination method. I've already got laziness and additions to reading/games, I don't need a 3rd reason to procrastinate.][Disclaimer 2: The main character is a more normalized version of me, with 170% less laziness installed, and a few buffs like greater courage. Other things like having a job are partially similar. No other characters are based on real people because most people I know are either too normal to be useful or too fucked in the head to be believable.]
