《Manan - Entangled》Part 7

Next day, when Manik and his friends met, they started discussing the ideas they came up with, to deal with Nandini.
Cabir : "Mukti, how do you want to deal with that girl?"
Mukti : "I don't know. I couldn't think of anything."
Cabir : "We can torture her in the name of ragging, what do you say?"
Mukti : "I told you that she isn't scared of ragging."
Cabir : "Hmm.. what else can we do?"
He looked at the rest of them.
Cabir : "Dhruv doesn't want to hurt anyone, so he wouldn't have come up with any ideas. How about you Manik, do you have a plan?"
Manik : "Not yet. I underestimated her and my plan failed once. I don't want to repeat the same mistake again. First, we have to find out the strengths and weaknesses of our enemy, before making any plans to bring them down. So as a first step, I collected her current details from the office."
Manik : "I couldn't find anything much there, it shows Mr. Gujral as her guardian. She is here using his influence. Do you have any idea who it is, Mukti? There is one thing I didn't understand. You told she was a fresher last year, then how come she is still a fresher. Is she so weak in studies?"
Mukti : "I don't remember having heard that name from her. As far as I know, she was a scholarship student."
Alya : "That girl seems to be very cunning to me. She would have trapped that guardian too. May be she has taken whatever she wanted from him and is here looking for her next scapegoat. Pretending to be a fresher may be part of her plan."
Alya : "I feel we should teach her such a lesson that she should never think of trapping anyone in the future. She should know how it feels when someone snatches the person who is dear to you. What do you say Mukti?"

Mukti : "I don't know if that will make me feel better. I just want a closure. I want to move on in life."
Alya : "Believe me Mukti, it will definitely make you feel better."
Dhruv : "How will inflicting the same pain she went through, on someone else, make her feel better?"
Alya : "Dhruv, we will be taking revenge on her. Haven't you heard revenge is sweet, it will give Mukti the closure she is looking for."
Cabir : "Wow Alya! What an idea, why couldn't I think of something like that? So, who are we going to snatch from her?"
Alya : "That's because you can't think of anything beyond ragging."
Mukti : "There isn't anyone we can snatch from her. Her mom passed away when she was little. She herself doesn't know where her dad is."
Alya : "How about that guy, Arya? What kind of a relationship did they share?"
Mukti : "He was like a mentor to her, and she seemed to respect him. But now, I feel as though I don't even know who she really is. He cared a lot for her, but I don't know if she really cared for him in the same way. She knows him only as long as I know her. When she can cheat me, do you think it will matter to her if we try to snatch him from her."
They were still thinking what to do.
Alya : "I have an idea. We can introduce someone new in her life who can make her fall in love with him. After confirming that she is fully into him, he can dump her, and she will be heartbroken. That will be the perfect revenge."
Manik and Cabir both spoke at the same time.
Manik : "It is a very bad idea .."
Cabir : "It is a brilliant idea .. why do you think it is a bad idea?"
Manik : "Anything associated with love is a failure, so the plan devised based on this idea will also turn out to be a failure."

Cabir : "You feel so because you don't believe in love.."
Manik : "It is not about how I feel or what I believe in, it is a fact. I see it everyday - my parent's marriage and Mukti's relationship. Isn't that enough proof?"
Cabir : "I can understand your point of view, but that's not the case always. There are equal chances of winning or losing in love as it is with everything else."
Cabir : "Even if we go by what you think, love is associated with failure, it is going to be love failure for her. We will take all measures to make our plan successful."
Manik didn't seem to be convinced. Just then, Manik got a call from his mom. There was problem with the phone signal, so he went out of the room to talk to his mom.
Cabir : "What do you think Mukti? If you are okay with it, we can convince Manik."
Mukti : "I have tried to forget the past and move on many times, but I couldn't. If taking revenge on her will help me as Alya said, then I am for it."
Cabir : "So, who is going to be our hero and her villain?"
Alya : "We can hire someone. People will be ready to play any character for money."
Mukti : "Someone who can be brought with money can't be trusted. It should be someone who we know well and can trust to carry out our plan successfully."
Alya : "Hmm.. how about Dhruv or Cabir?"
Mukti : "Dhruv is very softhearted, he won't be able to hurt her."
With excitement,
Cabir : "So, it's me then, I am ready .. to play Baazigar (game player). I vow to avenge the wrong done to you Mukti."
After seeing Cabir's behavior,
Mukti : "Not you Cabir."
Cabir : "Why not?"
Mukti : "Cabir, you are too filmy. If you act like this, she will never take you seriously."
Dhruv : "She is being nice to you. You were acting like a joker, not a Baazigar."
Cabir : "Who else then?"
Mukti : "Manik."
Dhruv : "He wasn't even okay with this idea, so there is no way he will agree to execute the plan."
Alya : "He is right."
Cabir : "Even you weren't okay with the idea Dhruv, but you are going to support us right. Manik isn't okay with the idea, but we will have to make him realize that this is the best option to avenge her betrayal, and he is the right person to do so."
Manik returned. His friends were looking at each other and signaling the other person to speak.
Manik : "What is going on? .. What is it with these eye signals?"
Cabir : "Manik, we all feel that Alya's idea is the best way to punish that girl."
Manik : "What? .. We didn't even think about other options? What is the need to be in such a hurry? .. Give me sometime, I will think of a better option soon."
Mukti : "There can't be a better option than this. She will be heartbroken after we execute this plan , the same way I was after her betrayal. She made me suffer all these days, now I want to see her suffer."
Manik remembered the day when Mukti told about her heartbreak and cried in his arms.
Manik : "Alright, I am with you. Do you have any ideas as to how to go about it?"
Mukti : "We all feel that you are the right person to carry out the plan. So you have to make her fall for you and then dump her.."
Manik : "No Mukti, I can't do this."
Cabir : "You agreed for the plan, then why are you backing out now?"
Manik : "I agreed to support, but I can't execute it."
