《Conversations with a ghost (Ghostface x reader)》Chapter 20

"So what the hell was that"
"What?"
You had just got back from the break room and we're now in your office that you shared with Jed, Blake went to go talk to Daniel to apologize for what she said to him
So now you were questioning Jed about his strange behavior when Ryan walked in earlier
"Seriously?" you say
"I'm doing work right now Y/n," Jed says while giving you a look and turning his attention back to his computer
"Right."
"Can we not do this right now please?" he says
"Whatever," you say and take a sip out of your cup
You decided that for once you weren't going to get coffee so instead, you got cold water and it honestly felt good to drink something besides coffee
You sighed and as you sat down at your desk while Jed was working on his computer still
"Asshole," you thought looking over at him
You thought about what Ryan had said at the shop today about the killer
They didn't even have a name yet and here they were striking more fear in people than Ghostface
Everything that used to be Ghostfaces thing turned into their thing
"I wonder how Danny would react to me thinking that," you thought and giggled slightly at the thought
" I swear he said something else that reminded me of something else but what was it," you thought
You tried to think of what you and Ryan talked about at the shop today
"They usually stalk their victims on the street and recently they've only been going for women,"
"What the hell did that remind me of though," you thought
When relaxation finally hit, you felt your heart drop and that feeling of worry come back to you
"Amira and Blake," you thought
Blake was here she's fine but you haven't seen Amira nor has she texted or even called you
You remember what she said to you that day you met up to talk
"Jed have you seen Amira today?" you ask him your words shaking as you pulled up her contact on your phone
"No why?"
You called and texted Amira, but nothing ever came from her end
"FUCK" you shouted and ran out of the office and went to go check if Amira was anywhere in the building

"Blake," you thought
Blake and Amira, we're good friends if anyone knew where Amira was it was Blake
You walked back into the break room it was the last place you saw Blake
"Yeah I should probably go apologize to him later"
"SHIT," you thought and ran you Daniel's office
You completely forgot about Blake telling you that, you were so caught up in worrying about Amira to properly think straight
You busted threw Daniels's office door
"Y/N!" Daniel yells giving you an angry look
"Y/n-"
"HAVE EITHER OF YOU SEEN AMIRA"
"She Didn't come in today why?"
"DID SHE SAY ANYTHING?"
"No-"
You turned around and ran out of the office and out of the building
People coming in and out of the gazette giving you weird stares
You tried to call Amira again but nothing ever came back
"Y/n! Where are you going"
You turned around and saw Jed running after you, when he reached you he tried to cup your face but you swatted his hand away
"We need to find Amira," you said and continue down the path to her house
"Why what's going on?"
"I can't explain right now"
"Y/n just tell me!" Jed said as he pulled your arm towards him
"FUCK OFF JUST LEAVE ME ALONE"
You swatted his hand away again and walked faster trying to call Amira on your phone again
After a few minutes of walking, you saw Amira's house come into view
Jed was still with you but he was quiet now and he was walking behind you
You called Amira again
"Ring.."
"Ring.."
"Ring.."
You stopped in your tracks and so did Jed, you both looked around for the ringing
"Y/n." Jed said as he looked in the way of an alleyway across the street
It was dark and it looked like there was more to it when you walked closer
But you could see that long bright blonde hair from anywhere and the illumination of the phone when it rang
You were frozen in place staring at the alleyway like if you looked away it would get closer
The phone kept ringing and ringing and you could hear it from the other side of the street
It felt like the illumination the phone gave off was getting brighter and you could almost see Amira's outline laying up against the wall

It was dark and all you could see was her head peeking out from the darkness of the alleyway, Her bright blonde hair covering her face as her phone laid right beside her
The ringing stopped and Amira's phone stopped giving off light and you didn't see her anymore
Just the darkness of the alleyway
"Hello this is Amira leave a message after the beep"
"Beep.."
You dropped your phone to the ground and felt tears fall from your eyes as you stared
You think Jed had said something but you could hear him
You couldn't hear anything, everything sounded so muffled
You assumed he must have called the police though because you saw bright red and blue lights
You also saw an ambulance from the corner of your eye
"Hello, mam? Let's go alright"
You heard and saw a paramedic say to you
But everything got so blurry and you still couldn't hear properly
All you could hear was your heart racing
And all you could see was Amira's bloody figure as the cop lights brightened everything up
That's the last thing you saw before you passed out
"Beep"
"Beep"
"Beep"
"Just be careful Y/n, please"
"Y/n?"
You groaned as you woke up bright lights hitting your eyes, you groaned again and used your hand you block the lights hitting your face
"Your awake!" you heard a happy yet sad voice announce
"Shh blake"
"Sorry"
You slowly opened your eyes and took in your surroundings, you were in a hospital bed and your head hurt like hell
Blake and Daniel we're sitting next to you they both looked sad, Blake looked like she had just finished crying her eyes out
And Daniel looked guilty and miserable
"Jed went to go talk to the nurses and Ryan went to go get snacks for you if you woke up" Daniel explained
You nodded and looked in the direction of the door
"I'm sorry y/n I should've called Amira sooner or hell I should have done something when she didn't show up," Daniel said and held his head in his hand
"I should have noticed," Blake said
You didn't give a response cause you didn't know what to say, who would in a situation like this
"Since there have been two deaths from people who work at the gazette the police are doing an investigation and closing it temporarily for everyone's safety," Daniel explains
You nod your head again
"I'm back! hey your awake that's great" Ryan says as he walks into the room and hands you a small cup of water and a small bag of chips
"I'm sorry if this isn't what you would've wanted they don't really have anything here and I don't know what you like" Ryan explains
You smile at him and take a sip of water
"Me and Blake are going to get going now if anything else happens let us know," Daniel says while he and Blake stand up
Blake comes over to you and before you can look at her she gives you a hug
"I'm sorry y/n please be careful though"
She lets go of you and you smile at her and nod, she returns your smile with a sad one and leaves the room with Daniel
"So.. are you feeling kind of better?" Ryan asks while looking down at the floor
"Sorta... I would be better if I liked these chips" you tease
"Hey, I didn't know!" Ryan says in a sad tone
You laugh as he crosses his arms at you, Ryan laughs a bit too before taking a seat next to you
"Hey if you need anything I'm here Y/n," Ryan says and smiles at you
"Thank you Ryan"
"Knock knock"
You turn towards the door and see Jed standing there leaning on the door frame
"Nurses said you can leave right now or tomorrow considering it's already night time" he explains and looks over to Ryan
"I think I'll stay here tonight then," you say
"Okay I'm leaving then," Jed says flatly and walks out leaving you and Ryan
"I fucked up, I think," you say and turn to Ryan
"I can see that, what happened?"
You wanted to talk about it but now that you had the time to think about why you and Jed were fighting it seemed like Ryan was the problem as to why
And you just couldn't tell Ryan that
"We just, it's hard to explain but I think I should apologize later"
"Are you sure you guys aren't dating" Ryan tease
"We aren't we aren't" you laugh and elbow him
"Okay well it's late Y/n, I think I should get going now I'll come back tomorrow to check on you alright?"
"Alright thanks, Ryan"
