*Liv’s POV*
I slowly closed my eyes, wanting so much to peep. Dan lifted up my right hand up and I felt something round and slightly warm slip down my third finger. A huge grin appeared on my face, yet I still kept my eyes closed.
“Open.” Dan whispered against my lips
I slowly opened my eyes and they instantly connected with Dan’s before my gaze returned to my hand. And right where it should be was my promise ring.
“Will you wear it again?” Dan asked me nervously
“I’d love to.” I smiled widely before kissing him gently.
“It’s back where it belongs.”
“It sure is Romeo.” I smile before kissing him again
I lay my head back on his chest re-admiring my promise ring, watching the light bounce off causing a rainbow to appear on my bedroom wall. “I love this ring Dan.”
“I’m glad, because you have to wear it forever.”
“Forever.” I grin still staring at my ring, but only for my head to be gently tilted upwards and met by his lips, leaving a light kiss upon them. As he pulled away I had to bite down on my bottom lip to stop it tingling, god what this boy does to my body is unreal.
“What do you fancy doing for the rest of the afternoon then ?” Dan asked me
“I don’t mind, but I just want to stay here for a bit longer...I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you more baby girl. So much more.” I heard him sigh
I leant up on one of my elbows so that I was looking at him, “I have a confession to make.” I smiled at him
“Good or bad?” Dan asked me anxiously
“Erm...I don’t know.”
“Okay...” he began, squinting his eyes at me slightly “Go on.”
“You know when you came to visit me at the hospital, when you brought me the lily’s.”
“Yea...I got them because they’re your favourite.”
“Yes they are.” I smiled
“So what’s your confession?”
“I was awake when you came into the room and spoke to me...when you sang to me.”

He gasped slightly before glancing down at bed sheet.
“Oh right...” he mumbled “Why didn’t you want me to know you were awake?”
“Well at first I thought you were the nurse and I didn’t want to talk to her anymore I just wanted to be left alone. But then you came in and began to sing to me, I was shocked. I’ve known you all my life and never heard you sing.”
“Err yea...”
“You’re really good.” I smile linking my fingers through his. “Then when you began to talk to me, I almost broke down into tears. Hearing you apologise for not believing me about Amy...about the fall.”
I close my eyes and shake my head slightly. The fall that had caused me to lose our baby.
“I’m so sorry.”
“But when you said that you were gutted when you found out that Amy was lying...that she wasn’t pregnant with the child you wanted. It hurt me and I could understand why you felt that way but what almost killed me was when you said you wanted us to have our own family...” I wiped my finger under my eye, catching a tear that was about to fall. “knowing that we did have one but it was taken from us...that made me very angry.”
“I don’t know what to say.” Dan whispered to me and I sat up, our finger still linked.
“There’s nothing to say now...I just thought I’d let you know that I heard everything you said to me but I couldnt forgive you then Dan. I was so angry and I blamed you...I blamed you for me losing our baby.”
“I understand baby girl,” he mumbled against my head as his lips continuously kissed me
“It was my fault, if I had trusted you like my gut had told me. Then Amy wouldn’t have pushed you and we’d have a baby...our baby on the way.”
I took in a deep breath and looked at him, “Everything happens for a reason Dan. I guess it wasn’t meant to be us having a child.”
“It IS meant to be, I guess just not yet.”

“I guess so. I thought like you...that we weren’t ready for a baby, but when I found out that I’d lost it. I realised how much I actually wanted it. That’s if I’d known about it I mean.”
“Me too baby girl, and one day we will have our own family.”
“One day.” I smiled, wiping my tears as Dan leant in and kissed me
***
“I’m so glad you’ve found it in your heart to forgive me Tink.”
“We come as a pair Dan...we always have. We’re like peanut butter and jelly. Tom and Jerry. The moon and the stars.”
“Now who’s being cheesy.” Dan laughed at me but I just stuck my tongue out at him
“I may have pushed you away at first and was unable to forgive you and let you in, but always know I will always love you. Never doubt that.”
“I don’t.” He smiled kissing my nose gently and I scrunched it up and he just smiled at me. “I love you so much.”
“I love you too.” I smile staring straight into his heart melting chocolate brown eyes that made me go weak at the knees instantly.
“I’m glad you’ve got your sparkle back.”
“Huh?”
He smiled to himself before looking at me again, “The sparkle to your gorgeous emerald green eyes. It’s back...I missed it.”
“Oh right.” I grin at him “I actually understand now.” I smile and get out of his grasp. I slid to the side of my bed and pulled out a box from underneath.
“What you mean you understand now?”
“You’ll see at the end.” I smile
I placed the box on my bed before shuffling back over to Dan. “What’s this?”
“Open it and find out.” I smile passing him the white box covered in red and gold love hearts.
I watched as he lifted the lid and a cheeky grin appeared on his face as he pulled out my scrap book.
It was a rather large pink fluffy book that had ‘FAMILY’ written across the front.
He ran his finger over the word ‘Family’ whispering it to himself. It’s what we’ve always called us four, family.
He opened it gently to the first page where there was a picture of my and Evie as newborns with our names glued on in cool spongy letters and the date and time we were born.
He slowly turned over the page and there was my hand and feet prints in bright pink paint. I watched how he ran his finger slowly over my baby hand before turning over again. This time there were just photographs of me and Evie with our parents, our first Christmas, and our first birthday.
God I missed them.
I leant into Dan’s side as we looked though my Family scrap book. I felt his lips touch my head. “I miss them.” I whisper
“I know , I know.”
The next page was me and Evie on our first day of play group. The day I met Dan.
“Where it all began.” He whispered turning over the page to where there was a picture of me, Evie with Dan stood in the middle of us.
There were pictures, paintings, cut out bits of material, everything glued and glittered over the next page.
“Ahh look at Luke.” Dan grinned as there was a picture of us four on our first day of reception, with ‘The Fab Four’ written underneath
“This is one of my favourite pictures of us four.” I grin as Dan turns over the page.
“No way do you have this.” Dan laughed as we looked at a picture of us four...all with our two top teeth missing. With the caption underneath saying ‘All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth’.
I turned over the next page and I saw Dan blush. “What?” I ask
“Why is that in there?” he smiled pointing at the valentine’s day card I’d cut out and stuck in there
‘To Tink
Happy Valentines Day
Lots of love
From you secret admirer xxxxxxxxxx
Ps. It’s not Dan.’
“You were so cheesy” I smiled at him and he shook his head. “I so knew it was from you”
“How could you know...we were six?”
“Well one you put and the bottom...it’s not Dan. Which clearly means it is and at the top you put To Tink....you’re the only person to ever call me Tink”
“Ahh dammit. Clearly didn’t think it though.” He laughed grinning at me.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

Campaign: A Project Starfarer Sidestory
This novel’s lore, story and characters are entirely fictitious. Certain long-standing countries, institutions, organizations, agencies, and public offices are mentioned, but their histories and the characters involved are wholly imaginary. "What will you do with your freedom?"Growing up in a meritocracy, infamous for being lawless, Jordan Astros had been repeatedly asked this question, since times unmemorable. In a society where one's accomplishments and skills were tallied and ranked in order to determine one's standard of living however, Jordan quickly grew to understand that 'freedom,' was a reward earned by accumulating Merit. And so, after his 17th birthday, Jordan departed his Clan's habitat in orbit of Europa to embark on his century-long journey to rise from E-Ranker to S-Rank. And spread his name throughout the Galilean Powers. *** Campaign is a sidestory within its NanoPunk parent series, Project Starfarer. (Yet to be published. Be on the lookout for it!) In which the first transhuman known to humanity, the Starfarer, invokes a plan to seed terrestrial life throughout the galaxy. Campaign takes place around the middle of that timeline and explores the life of a key figure in that universe, Jordan Astros. And explores one of four great nations thriving in the Solar System during that time. A Meritocracy that spans Jupiter and its 79 moons, The Galilean Powers. What you'll find in Campaign: Brutal melee combat in airless and pressurized low gravity environments. A technology based progression system influenced by merit and accomplishments; using tech that's theoretically possible to exist in the near-future. An exploratory perspective of the dozens of Galilean societies, or 'Powers,' from Jordans; and sometimes others', POV. What you wont find: Romance. Harems. An MC who receives shortcuts, handouts, learns things unnaturally fast or has OP plot armor. Jordan is not a special individual. Jordan is not OP and he likely never will be. He's no different than any other citizen in the Galilean Powers and will certainly face as many defeats as he does wins. He'll suffer losses and grow as an individual, while the Powers evolves around him as well. This is semi-hard sci-fi/NanoPunk and takes place in a fictional version of our future solar system. Centered around technology that's plausible in the near-centuries to come. Everything abides by the laws of physics/thermodynamics (As best that I understand them, at least. I'm no scientist.) No artificial gravity, inertial dampeners, teleportation, FTL, or hand-wavy materials will be found in the Project Starfarer universe. Just advanced automation, nanotechnology, cybernetics and AI. Set in the backdrop of space. *I do not own the photo used for the cover*
