“Dan are we going where I think we’re going?” I ask as I notice a couple of sign posts.

“Probably.” He laughed and I leant over and kissed his cheek.

“I’ve not been to Alton Towers in yearsssss” I say well more like squeal, I was so excited.

“I know baby, that’s why we’re here.” He grinned at me, linking his fingers through mine, playing with my ring on my finger.

Ten minutes later we were driving into the park. The traffic lights here made me laugh; they had a smiley face on the green light, a normal face on the amber and a sad face on the red light. So random, every traffic light should be like this, it would make driving much more interesting.

We parked the car and got out. I was so excited.

“, keep my phone in your pocket please...you’ve got zips yea?”

“Yea .” He replies placing my phone into his pocket.

“Okay, so we need to remember where we’re parked.” I say looking around

“We’re in zone D and right by the bendy tree.” He laughed “That rhymes”

“You are such a child sometimes.” I giggle walking towards the monorail.

“At least we will remember where we’re parked.” He replied catching up to me, linking his fingers though mine.

We queued up to ride the monorail to take us to the park before getting showing our tickets at the entrance. Dan being all Mr prepared for our trip had already pre-booked them and as we were staying at the hotel tonight we could go into the park early.

“I can’t believe we get to stay at Alton Towers hotel.” I grin at him as we receive a map of a member of staff on the way in.

“I know you’ve wanted to do it so here we are, mission accomplished.”

“Okay, I need to pee. So wait here.” I say to him popping into the ladies quickly.

I came out and Dan was staring intently at the map, I shook my head at him and took the map off him.

“What you doing?” he laughed trying to get it off me.

“Half the fun of being in a theme park, is running around....not using a map.” I laugh and he rolls his eyes at me.

“Fine , you win. Where to first?” he asks

“I duno, let’s see what the first ride is we can go on.”

“Ahh yes, we’re staying at the hotel so we can go in earlier than the others.” He grinned

We walked past the coffee shops and the frog pond to where the queue of people were waiting for the park to open. We made our way through to the front and showed our passes to the workers before being allowed past.

“Looks like this is the first ride.” Dan grins as we made our way to the Sonic Spin ball.

“This is new since I’ve been here.” I smile as we make our way around the queue.

“I only ever came that one time when we came with college.”

“I think that was the last time I came...” I say thinking about when the last time I came here was.

“This looks boss.” Dan grinned as we watched the four seater car zoom around the track spinning around at the same time before sitting down ourselves.

“You ready ?” Dan grinned at me and I nodded holding onto the handle in front of me as our cart began to move.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh” was all you could hear from me and Dan on the ride. It was over before we knew it.

“That was awesome.” Dan laughed as we made our way over to the photo booth

“Oh my god.” I laugh looking at the picture of me and Dan. My hair was everywhere and I was laughing my head off as was Dan.

“Number one three seven please” Dan says to the lad behind the counter as he puts it onto the bigger screen for us to get a closer look at it.

“We have to get that .” Dan grins handing over one of the picture tokens.

“There you go mate.” The lads smiles handing us the picture in a plastic bag.

“Where to next?” I ask and we had the same idea...

“OBLIVION” we both shouted running towards the X Sector.

“You okay ?” Dan asks me as I hold onto his hand tightly as oblivion went higher up the track.

“Yea, I just get nervous on the way up.” I giggle

“You ready for your stomach to go?” he laughed

“It’s the best bit.” I replied as the ride turned the corner, hanging over the edge slightly.

I felt Dan squeeze my hand a bit tighter as a voice bellows ‘DON’T LOOK DOWN!’

Of course we all do, and witness the same thing written on the floor before being plummeted through a black hole screaming like there was no tomorrow. We were out the other side quicker than I remembered before zooming round a corner to a stop. It was such a buzz.

“Okay dinner now.” I smile at Dan and he agreed as we made our way off the ride.

“Do they have Nandos here?” he asked me

“Na , we got KFC or Burger King?”

“KFC I’m feeling.”

“Yea, let’s go.” I reply as we made our way into KFC.

Dan ordered as I went and got us a table, looking at the photo’s we’d bought so far. We’d been on Sonic Spin ball, The Oblivion, Submission and Enterprise.

We finished up our food and decided to walk over to the Dark Forrest where Thirteen and Rita were but calling in on Hex on the way to let our food settle.

This ride always confuses me, the story is weird about the crazy witch woman possessing a tree, killing family members or something but the ride part at the end gets me every time...I just don’t understand it. How the hell do we spin round the room but not fall out our chairs, I know the walls move...it just blags my head.

As we walked out of the exit, I glanced up at Dan who had a confused look over his face. “Everything okay ?”

“Just that ride confuses me every time i go on it.” He laughs

“‘Yea I know, I just don’t get it...” I begin before we have a discussion on how they do it as we make our way over to the Dark Forrest.

“You excited ?” Dan asks me as we take our seats on Rita.

“Nervous.” I laugh slightly as I feel the ride pull backwards and the lights change from red to green and we shoot off.

“FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK” I hear Dan shout, a similar expression coming from me. It was over before we knew it and once again we bought the picture like we had done on Sonic Spin Ball and Oblivion before queuing up for Thirteen.

“I wonder what this is like?” I wonder as we walk around the path

“It’s kinda creepy.” Dan says to me and I smile

“If you go down to the woods today....you better not go alone.” A creepy little girls voice says, coming from within the forest.

“Okay that was creepy.” I laugh and Dan nods in agreement. We heard her a couple more times as we moved along the queue.

Dan was stood behind me with his hands around my waist. “Thanks for today...actually thank you for everything.”

“It’s my pleasure baby girl.” He replied kissing my cheek, making a smile appear on my face. We sat down in our seats ready for the newest ride at Alton Towers.

“Well I did not expect that.” I laugh stepping out of the ride

“The drop scared the fuck out of me.” Dan laughed and I agreed

“The going backwards freaked me out, and in the dark as well.”

“Brilliant ride though.”

“You ready to get wet?” Dan winked at me

“Excuse me?” I laughed as he nodded towards the pirate ship.

“You have to be kidding me?”

“Aww come on it’ll be fun.”

“Dan have you seen the people coming off that, they are like drowned rats.”

“Yea but it looks like so much fun.” he grins like a little kid, jumping up and down slightly on the spot.

“Fine...come on then”

“Ahhh yes, Tink you are the best.”

As we went around the ride, as I guessed we would, we got drenched. The other boat was soaking us, the people in the castle were soaking us and the people on the outside were soaking us. To say I felt wet would be an understatement...but Dan was right...it was fun.

Once again we bought the picture, Dan wanted to get all of them, even if I insisted against it as I looked awful. He wanted to remember every part of this day. We used one of those drying off machines to get the worst off us before we made our way over to the log flume and the river rapids. Might as well get all the water rides out the way now, least we could dry off during the rest of the day. It was really sunny out.

“Where to now?” I ask Dan as we buy the river rapids picture.

“That way...” Dan laughs pointing in a direction

“Okay.” I giggle following his lead, “We need the Forbidden Valley.”

“Is that where Air is?” Dan asked me excitedly

“It sure is.” I grin, this was our favourite ride

We went on the Runaway Mine Train and Duel on our way there. I was so happy I beat Dan on the shooting game. He wanted a re-match on the way back. Apparently I ‘cheated’ by being ‘sexy’ distracting him...boy please.

“Okay so we’ve got Ripsaw, Blade, Nemesis and Air to go on here.” I say looking at the rides around us.

“Okay , let’s go.” Dan grinned and we ran down the path into the Forbidden Valley.

“All you have to do is knock over three cans with three cans” A man at one of the toy stands shouts.

“Ahh you can win a giant angry bird Dan.” I say walking past nudging him.

He looked at me with raised eyebrows and a cheeky grin spread on his face, “Would you like me to try and win you one ?”

“Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee” I grin, holding my hands together, swaying from side to side like a child.

“Come on then.” He laughed walking over to the stand. Three goes later...

“YESSSSSSSSS” Dan shouted as he hit the third can and it toppled over.

“Congratulations. Which bird would you like?” the man asks

Dan turned to face me and I smiled at him, “The green pig thing.”

“So you don’t even want a bird?” he laughed as I got handed the teddy, “Well yea, but I want one of these.”

“I’m gona get the red bird.” Dan laughs, “Another go please mate.”

Straight away this time, Dan hit three cans over and we walked away hand in hand cuddling a red angry bird and a green pig thing.

“‘ i am shattered.” I say walking slowly towards the exit/entrance of the park.

“Me too , let’s go curl up in bed, put a movie on.”

“That sounds nice.” I smile leaning into him as his arms wraps round me.

We pay for our car park token before finding the car and driving to the hotel car park. We checked in before going into our room.

I dropped my suitcase and opened it; searching for some PJ’s to put on. I sat in front of the mirror, removing my make-up as Dan was in the bathroom.

“Your bath is ready .” Dan shouted from the bathroom so I got up and walked in and to my surprise the bath had been filled up with bubbles.

“Aww you didn’t need to do this.” I smile at him and kiss him gently.

“You need to relax after today.” he smiled kissing my nose

“You joining me? You need to relax as well.”

“Sure am baby girl.” He smiled and we stripped off before Dan got in. I got in after him and sat between his legs, as he wrapped his arms around me. I leant my head back against his chest, closing my eyes, enjoying this perfect moment with my perfect boy.
