I got out of bed and opened my bedroom door. I tiptoed across the landing and up the stair again knocking on Dan’s door.

“Mmm” was the reply

I opened the door and walked in. I went round to the other side of his bed and got in.

“Can’t sleep still?” he mumbled

“No, sorry for waking you”

“It’s fine”

I kissed his cheek and rolled over hoping I would finally get some sleep. A few seconds later I felt two strong arms wrap themselves around me, pulling me in close. I smiled to myself as I felt Dan’s body heat radiate off him onto my skin.

I rolled over and snuggled my face into his chest. “Love you Dan” I whisper

“Love you too”

I then fell into a peaceful night sleep.

I woke up the next morning, to the sun shining through his window. Dan was spooning me, his arms wrapped tight around me. I began to giggle but trying not to wake him. He must have had a nice dream because I could feel his member digging into my bum.

“Morning” he whispered,

“Morning to both of you too” I giggle

“Shit sorry” he stutters pulling away from me

“Dan it’s fine, don’t worry about it” I smile sitting up and looking at him

“I’m embarrassed now, should have realised it would happen though. Get one every morning”

“They don’t call it morning glory for nothing” I giggle “And well Dan...you shouldn’t be embarrassed by that” I wink at him and get out of bed

“Stop teasing me” he grinned

“I’m not, but go take a cold shower or take care of it before you poke someone’s eye out”

“Think I’ll take care of it” he laughed

“Okay didn’t need to know that” I laugh walking towards his door, “Thanks for last night Dan.”

“No problem, just between us yea, best friends”

“Always, thank you for everything” I smile holding up my bandaged finger

“No problem, now go I have something to take care of” he grins putting his hand under the quilt,

“Okay eww, I’m going”

“Unless you fancy helping me?”

“You’re alright” I laugh shutting the door behind me.

That was weird.

I walk down two flights of stairs and into the kitchen, pouring myself a glass of orange juice and making some toast.

“What happened to you last night?” Luke asked me walking into the kitchen

“What do you mean?” I ask turning on the kettle

“I came in to get Dan to go the gym this morning and saw you cuddled up together in his bed”

“Oh right” I say quietly laughing

“So what happened? How did you get in his bed?”

“I came down here last night to get a drink and he turned the light on scaring the shit out of me. I dropped the glass and cut my finger on some glass. That’s all I remember, then I woke up this morning”

“Yea you and blood don’t really go well together” he laughed as the kettle boiled

“Brew?” I ask

“Please”

“So what you doing today then?” I ask him walking over to the fridge getting out the milk

“I’m not sure yet, what about you?”

“I’m thinking shopping” I grin as Evie walks through the door

“I’m so there” she laughs

“Good was just about to come ask you” I smile handing her a cup of tea

“Where’s Dan?” she asks

“Still in bed I think” I smile sipping my tea; he was taking a while up there.
