《Punching the Gang leader》Chapter Nine

It's been four days since I was kidnapped and I was overwhelmed with curiosity. Why was I here? Why did they choose me? I haven't brought the topic up because I wanted to gain trust. They'd be more inclined to answer questions if they think I'm someone they can trust. But I've begun to realize it'll take a lot longer than a couple of days to gain their trust... So that leads me to what I'm doing right now; Looking for Ace's office.

I've been observing the boys since the moment they snatched me off the sidewalk. They all seem like best friends with strong attachments and trust between them. Luca presents himself as emotionless and he stands to the side impassively on most discussions. However, when he thinks the girls and I aren't looking, he'll crack jokes and smile carelessly. He's very dependent on the foundation of trust and only Ace and Damien get to see that carefree side of him.

Damien is goofy and outgoing. He expresses his emotions without any holdbacks. However, when the boys are talking amongst themselves he gets this look in his eyes. A sadistic gleam that matches the malicious grin that he hides beneath a friendly one. His mask is well worn and as far as I can tell he genuinely is a happy guy. But whatever makes his eyes shine like that is what truly makes him dangerous.

Ace holds an impression of dominance. He runs the show and everyone bows down to him. Damien and Luca although both are very dominant with demanding attitudes, they follow Ace's every order with no hesitation. Despite their teasing, they're careful not to over-step and always show their respect for Ace. Ace definitely lets them get away with more because they hold a family-like bond.

I've seen how Ace acts with Maxxer and it's a totally different story. Maxxer fears Ace whereas Luca and Damien respect his authority. They know they're all alpha's but Ace is in a position higher than them.

The respect and friendship they have are stronger than any feeble-minded argument.

I notice a pair of double black doors at the end of the hallway I was walking down and hesitantly make my way towards them. Once I reach the tall doors I knock to announce my presence before pushing open the doors. I step into the room and a burst of warm air slaps me across the face.

I find Ace sitting at his dark wooden desk, his eyebrows furrowed as he stares at his computer screen. His desk surface was organized and de-cluttered. Behind Ace stood a beautiful bay window that filled the room with natural light. The setting sun made the glow warm yet a little dim but Ace didn't seem to notice or care. I take my time making my way deeper into the room in order to look around.

The walls were painted a light grey color. The two side walls had built-in bookcases that covered the whole wall. Tons of books and picture frames filled the shelves proudly gleaming under the sun's light.

I make my way towards the right wall, my curiosity distracting me from the reason I came to this room in the first place.

I notice many picture frames held pictures of Ace with Damien and Luca. Others included a woman who I'm assuming is Ace's mum due to the uncanny resemblance. In one picture the woman had her arm wrapped tightly around a startled Ace. In another picture, She was hugging Luca and Damien while the three of them laughed at something that happened moments before the picture was taken. One of my favorites was one of Ace and Luca making duck lips while Damien looked like he pissed his pants. I laugh softly at their expressions before slowly pulling away from the shelf.

I finally flop down into a leather chair that was placed in front of Ace's desk with a loud sigh. "What's up?"

Ace looks up from his computer and nods at me in acknowledgment before going back to focusing on the screen. I raise an unimpressed eyebrow at him before crossing my legs to get comfortable in my chair. "I have a question," I announce as I lean back in my chair to show my nonchalance.

"Ask away" Ace mumbles, writing something down on a piece of paper. I watched his hand sprawl out words so quickly I thought the paper would catch on fire.

The lack of attention when I was trying to have a conversation irritated me. However I understood he was busy, so I waited until he finished writing. When his fingers release their hold on the pen I stand from my chair. I move aside the pen and paper he was previously using and start climbing onto the desk. Ace moves his chair back slightly stunned as he watches me.

I slide my legs over and swing my feet out in front of me casually making eye contact with Ace as I did. The shock is wiped from his face as his jaw clenches and his eyes blazed with irritation. My approach was partly unnecessary, but I thrive off of attention and he kidnapped the wrong mother fuckin' bitch if he thinks I'll let him work in peace. Sucks to be him, now he has to deal with me.

I offer him an innocent smile, "I like eye contact when I'm speaking with someone."

"What do you want Stella?" Ace sighs, leaning back in his chair and putting extra distance between us.

I examine my nail beds nonchalantly, silently disgusted at how bad my cuticles are. I really need to get my nails done soon. "I just need to ask a question, nothing big."

"Which is?"

I take my eyes off my nails to stare into his obsidian colored eyes. They were now devoid of any emotion as he stared back at me. I liked how he could do that, look at people, and not feel anything. It was annoying when I couldn't read him though.

"Why did you kidnap me?" I ask, tilting my head at him.

Like a doll, his lifeless black eyes stare into my soul like he was ready to sink his claws in it. It was slightly creepy.

Ace shrugs his shoulders, the motion causing his chair to roll beneath him but his feet on the floor keep him from moving. "Reasons you don't need to worry about yet."

"Yet? Ace you kidnapped me and you expect me not to worry?"

Ace only gives me a blank look, but I saw it for a split second. The look of deflation was present in his eyes for one second. I narrow my eyes at him as I clench my hand into a fist. I could so easily punch the reason out of him but it'd be a waste of strength. Besides, I plan to escape soon anyways so I guess the truth won't matter once I'm gone.

I lower my feet onto the floor beneath me and stand up. I brush the invisible dust off myself and walked away from Ace with my head held high.

I grit my teeth to keep myself from threatening him as I make my way out of the room. Attractive fucking bastard I hope your eyes dry out from looking at the computer screen too much.

"You'll find out when you need to Stella, I just need to take care of a few things." Ace calls out, his voice much softer now.

"Fuck you!"

I shut the door firmly behind me and storm down the hallway. I let out a growl to release my anger in a way that wasn't completely harmful. That was a complete waste of my time, I'm such an idiot.

The sound of humming hits me burning ears and I look around the new hallway confused. I see Sage walking towards me with her head down as she stumbles around with her eyes glued on the floor.

"Sage?" I hesitate before making my way over to her. Sage snaps her head up in my direction startled but relaxes completely when she sees it's only me.

"Hiiii" she drags out before giggling, "sorry I'm kinda high right now."

"How'd you get high?"

Sage grins like the Cheshire cat, "Novah had a pen in her bra when you pulled up." Her mischievous grin influenced my own and I find myself laughing softly.

"Well let's go get me fucking high."

Sage nods her head rapidly before snatching my wrist and leading me the way she came.

"Why'd you come down here?" I ask as we speed-walked towards Novah's room.

"Hm? Oh looking for you... and the kitchen I want a mayo and cheese sandwich right now."

I throw up a little in my mouth as I reply, "you're disgusting."

"Your face is disgusting" Sage snaps back without any hesitation.

Sage has weird eating habits when she's high, but you could've guessed that from her sandwich craving. One time she even ate just a plain mayo sandwich. I shudder at the memory as Sage pushes Novah's door open and struts in like she owns the place. I walk in behind her, making sure to shut the door behind me before glancing over at Novah. She was hanging off her bed upside down, her hair crashing downwards in waves of soft curls.

"You guys are upside down" Novah giggles, her eyes droopy and red as she stares at Sage and me in awe.

"Idiot" Sage mumbles as she climbed into Novah's bed next to her. I shake my head as I laugh to myself softly before sitting down on the other side of Novah. I stick out my greedy hand and Novah passes me the pen immediately. I bring the godsend to my lips and take a long hit. I hold it in my lungs for as long as I could before blowing out the smoke.

I cough a little as I try to catch my breath before hitting it once again. The burn it creates in my throat wasn't enjoyable, but the high I get is worth it. I offer the pen to Sage but she declines so with a shrug I continue taking hit after hit.

It didn't take much longer for me to get high. I giggled to myself as I laid down in Noah's bed. Tingles racked my body, almost like a tickle but it was from head to toe and it felt fantastic. I had bad tunnel vision as I stared at my hand which was in front of my face. My long fingers twitched and I could almost see my veins poking out subtly. My fingernails had gotten a lot longer since leaving London and I was in love with the feeling of having naturally long nails.

"Guys" I call out as my attention is pulled off my hands by the walls. "Why is the room spinning?" My head subconscious tilts to the side in confusion.

"The room's dancing silly" Novah corrects, talking to me like I was a child. I watch her in amusement as she clumsily climbs off the bed. She almost trips on the throw rug but catches herself before she can fall.

Novah starts swaying in an attempt at dancing which makes me laugh so hard my stomach starts to hurt.

Sage and I watch her sway for a silent minute before Sage opens her mouth.

"We should probably put on some music so it's not awkward," Sage says, looking unamused by Novah. I shrug my shoulders as a reply before I fall back into the mattress beneath me.

Sage pulls out her new phone and taps a few buttons before I hear the sound of her phone connecting to a speaker. With the courtesy of Ace's credit card, the girls and I got new phones, since the boys smashed the ones we had. The condition of having a phone was parental controls. No social media or any app we can use to contact people with. Apps to watch shows and movies and listen to music only.

If we try to contact anyone especially the police there will be very bad consequences blah blah blah. Ace and Damien had a very long and very threatening conversation with us while Luca sat in a corner and ate a Snickers bar silently. But Luca didn't let his cocky smirk drop off his lips once.

'When I Rip' off of the 'Euphoria' soundtrack begins to play from the bluetooth speaker and I grin happily at Sage. I absolutely adored Euphoria. I hummed softly to myself as I tapped my fingers on my hips. Sage just stared at a random object in Novah's room while Novah... I don't even know what she's doing.

The song gets louder as Sage turns the volume up on her phone. The beautiful sound of Labrinth's voice hits my ears and I shut my eyes. Content; that's how I felt right at this very moment. I was high with my best friends and listening to one of my favorite songs. All I needed in this moment was a bowl of cheerios from Novah's house and I'd be happy. Novah's cereal is the best cereal I don't make the rules.

The song comes to an end and before the next can play I hear the doorknob hit the wall. I snap my eyes open and turn my head. Three very handsome boys stand in the doorway of the room with their arms crossed.

"Why does it smell like... cookies and weed?" Ace asks, raising a questioning eyebrow at me. I narrow my eyes at his perfect eyebrows before pouting and turning away.

"Don't answer him."

The girls don't ask questions and Sage unpauses the next song. Trippie Redd's Love scars hit my ears and I throw my head back. Sage, Novah, and I unapologetically start screaming the lyrics with no emotional basis behind our voices.

"Stella!" Ace shouts, his voice almost drowned out by the blasting music.

"What? Can't hear you!" I shout back, stubbornly staring up at the ceiling.

Sage pauses the song and suddenly yells, causing me to sit up to look at her. "We should go to a party!"

I gasp, what a brilliant idea. "Yes!"

"That's funny cause this guy is throwing a party tonight for his birthday or something... we should go!" Novah says, wide-eyed and excited.

My own excitement starts to flow as I think about all the alcohol that'll be there. Sweet sweet alcohol.

"Stella you're not going to a party" Ace firmly states, crossing his arms over his chest. His eyes told me he wouldn't back down or listen to anything I had to say on the matter.

I raise an unimpressed eyebrow at him. "Watch me" I mouth before reaching over to Sage's phone and tapping the play button. I don't like being told what to do. Especially by kidnappers.
