《My Rejected Mate》17

-Elliot's POV-
It's been a month, a month since the battle and Cassie hasn't woken up. There was a lot of wolves bane in her body. The doctors were surprised she even survived, it was a deadly amount. They said she was in a coma, and it was good way for her to heal herself. But it was taking forever, almost as if she was dead. I know she's not dead, I know her conscious is still there. I even tried to mind link her hoping someway she would respond. It was stupid but I just had to try it out for my own sanity.
My wolf is definitely not taking it well either, he's been ignoring me. Understandable, it' this other half that's hurt and they almost died. To me everything is just slowly falling apart and I'm on the verge of losing it. My mood became more unstable, I've been pissed off a lot. I don't even let people mention Cassie or I'll literally explode. I tried doing more paper work or even focus on school to get my mind off of her. It's not working at all, I've just been suffering. Hell I can't even sleep properly because I'm worried. I'm worried if I sleep she would just die and I'll loser forever.
Everything in the pack was getting back to normal, father came back to assist what to do with Nolan's renaming pack members. Majority we let go, though some we did have to execute or even lock up. Veronica and Jenny will have to spend the rest of their days in the pack cell or just forced labor. Their parents begged not to kill them, so we decided to go with that option. Ace on the other hand, he was killed.
I walked out of my office to my room to get ready for school. I've been spending more time at the pack house than my own home. I went to my room that was here, so I can get ready for school. I got dressed quickly and headed to the main floor of the pack house.
Suddenly I felt a pair of small arms wrap around my torso. I looked down to see David there smiling up at me. Mrs. Dawson told me Cassie saved him from the battle and took him under her wing. When I heard that he was Nolan's little brother I was hesitant on letting him stay here, but I trust Cassie so I let him stay. Especially after hearing how Nolan killed this own parents, I couldn't abandon the kid.

David took a liking to me for some reason, he said in own words I have Cassie's scent on me so he feels safe and protected. When I'm free I would try to spend time with him so he won't be lonely. A lot of the pack members kids didn't want to get close to him for his background. He's outcasted here, to which I feel bad. I need to have a meeting about this situation too.
"What's up big head." I ruffled his hair and he smiled up at me.
"My head is not big! Yours is big!" He scoffed and then proceeded to punch my arm with his tiny little first.
"Well to me it is." I smiled down at him, his eyes twinkled like stars.
"You finally smiled!" David cried out. Kids sometimes can brighten up your mood.
"Let's get some food." I said and started to drag him along with me to the kitchen.
We made it to them kitchen and I went to the cabinet to grab some cereal. I poured him a bowl and myself. We sat down on the table and ate. My mom walked in with a basket of laundry and her eyes landed on us.
"He looks like your son Elliot." My mom said.
"Talking about kids already mom?" I said as I put a mouthful of cereal in my mouth.
"Yes I can't wait to see my grandkids! Well in the future, focus on your education first then kids later." She said firmly. I nodded my head and let out a little laugh.
I looked at the time and saw I had to leave for school. I bid my goodbyes to David and my mom. I grabbed all my belongings and headed out the door. I went to my car and made my journey to the school. I drove really slow since I was dreading to even go there. Everyone was weary of me there, they were scared if they just speak to me I would explode. Which I won't but I'll admit my stoic look has worsen over this month.
Maybe I should smile more?
****
I walked down the gloomy halls and the nurses would bow when I pass them. I stopped in front of room 303 and opened it. I walked in and headed straight towards where Cassie laid. Her skin color was back she wasn't deadly pale anymore. The doctors said she should be waking up soon, after doing an evaluation she was now perfectly heal. I pulled a chair up next to her and grabbed her hand. It was warm and I brought her hand up to my face.

"I've said this over a thousand times, but we still need to have our long awaited discussion about how reckless you are." I spoke. As per usual no response, I sighed out and laid my head on the bed. My fingers played with her hand and I just stared at the heart monitor.
When are you going to wake up.
-David's POV-
I was sitting in front of Cassie, I watched as her chest moved up and down. I stood up and put my finger under her nose to feel her breathing. A smile crept up to my lips and I sat back down on the chair.
"Cassie when are you going to wake up? You said were going to protect me and I'm bored! I want to play with you, like hide and seek!" I grumbled. My legs were swinging off the chair and there was no response.
"You need to wake up because Elliot misses you! Your family does too! They're really sad and so am I!" I spoke to her again.
"Do you want help with that?" A shiver ran down my back and I looked around. There was no one else in the room besides Cassie. I titled my head to the side and shook my head.
"Are you ignoring me?"
"God?" I asked confused. A chuckle filled my head and I started to freak out. Oh my god I'm talking to god right now!
"No it's not god. I'm pretty sure you have heard about me though. You can't see me yet but I can see you." A girl spoke.
"Then who are you?" I questioned.
"Close your eye's and you will see."
I closed my eyes and a blinding light appeared. I covered my eyes with my arms and I felt cold all of a sudden. A flowery smell filled my nose, it was almost comforting.
"Is this heaven?" I asked confused. The girl giggled and I felt a hand touch the top of my head.
The light vanished all of a sudden and I opened my eyes. A beautiful women stood in front of me with a caring smile. Long shiny white hair that fell over her shoulders, eye's that were a deep golden color.
"Who are you?" I said looking her with awe.
"I'm the Moon Goddess" She answered with a smile.
"You're lying! There's no way! This must be a prank!" I laughed out and I felt her smack the top of my head.
"Ow why did you do that!" I cried out.
"How are you disrespect me like that!" She said sternly.
"Ok, prove that you're the Moon Goddess!" I said crossing my arm.
The lady rolled her eyes and then her eyes turned completely white. Trails of smoke started to surround me engulfing me. The lady disappeared and all I heard was loud growling above me. Once the smoke did clear, I was met with shiny silver fur. I looked up and saw a humongous wolf towering over me. No not like an Alpha wolf but like a 4 meter big wold with 3 tails. I fell to the ground and started scooting back fearing for my life.
"Ok ok I believe you!" I screamed. She bowed her head and turned back to her human self.
"Well my name is Nyx." She said as if she didn't just turn into a gigantic wolf.
"I-I'm David." I stuttered out. Nyx grabbed my hadn't pulling me up from the ground, and that motherly smiled appeared on her lips once again.
"You must be wondering why I'm here."
"Very" I said.
"Being the supreme being I am, I decided to grant your wish." Nyx picked me up and held me in her arms.
"Your going to help Cassie!" I asked excitedly.
"Yes...I think after all the hardships she went through this is what I could at least do." Nyx spoke softly. I nodded my head and wrapped my arms around her neck giving her a tight hug.
"Than you so much!" I pulled back and Nyx nodded her head happily.
"I have to go now so I can help Cassie, just wait. So you later." Nyx poked my forehead and the illuminating white light filled my vision once again.
When it cleared I was back in the hospital room by Cassie's side. I gave Cassie a kiss on her cheek before leaving the room. There was a little pep in my step as I went down the halls of the hospital. I can't wait to see Cassie awake again!
Let's keep it a surprise from Elliot!

Take Two!
College student majoring in botany has a fateful encounter with truck-kun while trying to get back in shape after realizing that his freshman 15 turned into the sophomore 20, and then the junior 30. After going through a very amusing(to some) hell, he gets the chance to transmigrate into a body of his own design on a magical world. Playing to his strengths, he chose the Plantkin race, and the new name of Sorrel to match. This is a slow-paced, magical, slice-of-life story with a focus on relationships. There will be sex(I'll try to keep the explicit stuff to a minimum, but it will be there), swearing, really bad jokes, and enough food to spoil your diet. There will not be a lot of action, epic quests to save the world, or anything even remotely resembling a big-bad-evil-guy(a few smaller bad guys, sure. But, no BBEG). Note: This is a re-write of my first story "Congratulations, You're Dead!". And, is much more what I wish I had written in the first place. The characters and the world are very similar, with a few key differences. The story may borrow some elements from Congrats, but should be considered as its own work. Reading Congrats first is not needed, or even reccommended, not unless you want to see some really cringey romance in the early chapters.

Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
