"mommy is getting married?!" Louis turned his head to me then to his father "I told you to do something quickly! Now she's taken!"

That made us all look at Henry for an explanation

"a man needs support, you know ..Louis had four girlfriends already so I tho-"

"you what?!" I turned to Louis who glared at his father

"daad!" he whined

"oh, no you are not running away from this young man ! you dated without telling me?!"

"you were busy "

"how long was I busy for that you were able to date four girls and not tell me about anyone ?!"

"he dated two at a time" Aiden stated and I turned to him

"uncle!! Not you too!"

"even your uncle knows! and what is this dating two girls at the same time? ..huh? "

"calm down woman !.. let me explain" that shut me up ..well all of us actually as we were all just staring at him "it wasn't like I was the one to like them ..they confessed and I accepted, I just didn't want to break their hearts "

"Just where did you get this brilliant idea fro-" I noticed Aiden's face and how he was looking everywhere but me, while Louis looked at him

"AIDEN!"

"SORRY SIS" he yelled then bolted out of the kitchen with me following right behind "AAAH!...HENRY! HELP!"

"not the fun type, it just looked like you cared for each other as a family should that's all, never guessed you were closer than that "

"that's why you need to be careful, or we will hunt you down " Joshua appeared from behind us bending down to whisper in Henry's ear

he pushed Henry to the side sitting right in between us

Come to think of it, we were sitting in the same spot in the backyard ..the same spot we fought in every time

"maybe " Henry smiled at him cockily

"I don't know if I should hate you or not " josh mumbled "anyways, as long as you treat her right, I will treat you the same, and if you ever make her cry, I will make you cry the same AND MORE"

"good " he then turned to me "you need to go talk to mom ..we still have more things to discuss"

"ok, go easy ..but not too easy," I said getting up, leaving Joshua with an evil smirk on his face

"Is this what you chose? " Mom asked me when I joined her in her bedroom

"I fought with your father when I came to know what he planned"

I loved how protective my mom is, even when I am thirty years old "come here " I said opening my arms finding her do the same, engulfing me in her embrace

"Amanda, there are always missing pieces in every story, we sometimes deal with consequences before we know the full reason to it, just like when you dealt with Madeline and Edwin without knowing how it even happened .. this missing piece is not important but when it comes to marriage a lot of them are important if not all .."

"you two ended up with a divorce because of lack of communication ..you didn't need to say that you love each other but you needed to at least show your fears so the other can prevent them from growing... trust and respect are not made out of love Amanda, they are the fruit of communication and understanding, so don't run away when it comes to speaking your mind, I know it's a job illness; that you tend to listen more than speak but still this is marriage, and there are kids on the line ..so for their sake and for your family's sake ..work on it cause we want to see you truly happy "

"and please be understanding, when I take Henry's side.. since he has no one with him, and Joshua keeps threatening him so that might make him feel like he will never win a fight against you since you have us and he has no one but you on his side "

"I was going to ask you the same thing " I smiled at her, with tears in my eyes "he misses his mother ma, even if he doesn't show it, so I was hoping that this wedding you could be with the groom "

"of course I will " she smiled at me with tears in her eyes pulling me into a tight hug yet again "this time you should smile at your wedding, wear the best dress and pamper yourself with all the things that you like ..he needs to pay for what he has done to you so that he can get my favor, so get what you like even if it's expensive ..actually get all the expensive stuff even if you don't like them"

"mooom" I whined

"fine ...but still think about it tonight "

"moom!" I laughed and she did the same hugging me closer to her and patting my back

we stayed for a bit in silence and warmth before she spoke again "you two need to tell Louis before they leave"

"Yeah, we were just talking about that back at the yard"

And that was what we did next...

Henry came after he finished packing his clothes while I was with Louis in my room, but it became a bit awkward, more than the two of us could have expected.

"what's going on here?" Louis seemed to have sensed the tension in the air as he asked the two fo us...and that seemed to be the perfect cue to tell him.

Thankfully Henry took the chance and "I have something to tell you Louis " he started, averting the attention fully to him "mom and dad are...getting back together" He told Louis all the while looking attentively at his reaction

"And you said you are never coming back " Louis glared at me, after looking at the two of us for quite some time making us both tense waiting

"It just happened...somehow" I said sheepishly

"I know.. it was dad's fault, he hid it from the two of us and just when it all ..." he stopped midsentence, frowning his eyebrows and looking away

"what is it? " I asked

"what was the expression? ..when it all? .."

"went down? " Henry answered, not sure if that's what he wanted for an answer...

"oh ! yeah! went down ..thank you " he smiled at his father which made us both chuckle "..where was I? "

That made us burst out laughing with him whining in the background "stop laughing! I need to finish my sentence !"

We stopped laughing ..hardly stopped .we were still holding it in

"done now? "

Unable to say a word fearing that laughter will come out instead we just nodded our heads

"so....i really don't remember where I was though"

We laughed again but this time I hugged him with tears in my eyes because of how hard he made me laugh "it's okay ...we get it .. " I said in between laughter unable to form a sentence myself and he just laughed with us at the end ..probably at the state we were both in

"hate to admit it, but the house feels empty now that they are gone" Joshua stated when he came into my room asking for a phone charger

"it does" the bed felt strangely bigger after a week of sharing it with Louis

the still shadow of my brother grabbed my attention as he didn't budge from his location for about thirty seconds....no muscle has been moved.

"what?"

"not trying to sabotage the whole thing but...sigh" he sat on the bed right by my feet before he continued "are you sure that you want to get married NOW...like you don't think it's a bit fast or something"

"It is, but it's also late"

"it's not late, you're just thirty"

"I don't find dating to be a good option, viewing the overall situation we are in"

"yeah right! you were just out of divorce you two and now that you 'reconciled' you jump back into marriage"

"True...but it will also be easier to run or call it quits if we date and that might actually scar us worse than the divorce did especially Louis, he will have high hopes but then we could just crush them down in the first misunderstanding or fight that we have"

my phone rang interrupting him, however he didn't complain, he just smirked when he caught the name of the caller on my phone's screen

"I'll leave you to it, I already got what I came for" he showed me the charger before he showed me a wider smirk
