The Man Who Will Become God
A young man about to propose to the love of his life was abducted to another world by a vengeful, fallen God. Reality has been organized into a system with classic RPG elements. For the price of his name the protagonist has been given the "Zero-Variable", an ability that gives him growing power over the world's system for a painful price. The protagonist is torn between happiness at the fulfilment of his boyhood dreams and the heartache of not being together with his loved one. But to return to his world, he is given an almost impossible mission: to steal the world system from the being that stole the fallen god's power, kill that god, and become a god himself. Only with that can he achieve the power to return to his world and his loved one. The protagonist must overcome the many dangers and wonders of this new world. From roaming bandits to hungry monsters who seek to kill him. From greedy merchants to arrogant nobles who wish to enslave him. From demon warlords to powerful mages hungry for his abilities and its untapped potential. From elven lords, fairies, kings and lesser gods who wish to use him for their own purposes. From a ruthless and nigh-powerful god who is no stranger to overthrowing and killing other god overseers like the fallen god. Finally, the protagonist is also in danger from himself. A young fledgling city-state of Etris seeks to make a distinguished name for itself in the chaotic era of human emergence with the Titanomachia only a few decades behind them the ordinary citizens of Etris await the coming of their divine Consul. The one who will lead them to become the prophesied Etrian Empire is yet to be born. In the faraway tribal regions of Gallia a young boy is born to the tribe chief of the Veraxes. The boy is pale and smaller than most young ones in the tribe yet his destiny is to outshine all who came before and shall come after him. In another city-state of Junia the city lord has recently been bestowed a son and a daughter by the Gods and he has begun preparations of an invasion of the tribes that surround his territory. A prelude to an epic begins in 100 C.D. Hey everyone second time writing a story on Royal Road the first time was an experiment that made me learn much but hopefully this time it will be better. Beyond the Bridge
There are many worlds, many multiverses, and you can move between them via the Federation's Bridge network - magical gateways to other worlds. The world dubbed "C'thon" by its inhabitants - or Gamma-Theta-Nu-649, if you ask the Federation's bureaucracy - was deserted when the Federation found it. The "civilized" races had all died out centuries prior, and the wilderness had grown downright feral in their absence. Now, the lonely Federation outpost of Bridgetown is under constant threat from the hungry wildlife, malicious fey, territorial goblins, and wandering undead that surround it. The town's distance from the Federation's centers of power means that it gets precious few of the resources that it needs to stay safe and afloat. Enter the Guild of Adventurers, a plucky and disparate crew who do the Federation's dirty work in exchange for coin. One team, the first of many, crosses the Bridge to C'thon looking for fame, fortune, and (if they're lucky) the answer to a newly-discovered Prophecy. They'll get much more than they bargained for, although first they need to avoid being eaten by the local wildlife. Updates weekly on Wednesday. Chapters will be as long as they need to be for them to work, which means they can vary. If anything drops below 2500 words, I'll post an extra chapter if I have one ready.
