"My name is Dream, by the way." And so "the man" can now be called "Dream."

"I'm Lily," she responds (this we already knew), and Dream snorts in response.

"Like lily of the valley?" He asks, turning his head to look at her through the allusive mask.

"Huh?"

"Well your name is Lily, and your house is in a valley, is that why?" He explains.

"I'm not sure what you mean." Lily focuses on wrapping the wound while entertaining the conversation.

"Have you never seen the flowers? Lily of the valley?"

"No, I don't think there are any of those around here."

"Oh," Dream pauses for a long moment, watching her face as she tends to his arm. "They're beautiful flowers. You should see them one day." Lily glances at his face at the earnest tone, but is met with a striking lack of emotion from the bland smiley face.

Still though, she knows: he means it. She'll see a lily of the valley one day, whatever it'll take to get there.

And she's not yet sure what that could entail.
